Another beautiful addition to our Lamaze collection. Got it before christmas on offer and was very pleased. The lights are very soft and gentle and suitable to be put in my daughter's cot without it bothering her. Like some people said the music can be a little loud at first, but after a couple of days use you get use to it. My 7 month old had this when she was 4 months and we had no issues and it quickly got her off to sleep.The only reason this has 4 stars instead of 5 is because it only plays one song. I know some toys get annoying with constantly changing music, but after a while the owl can become a little boring playing the same song over in one long loop. I was disappointed with this for a lamaze product,

The toy itself is well built and pleasing to the eye. When you activate the unit, the white section of the toy lights up with various colours and it does look stunning. The music is also very pleasant and calming.The only issue I experienced:I was unaware the device is sold in "demo mode" and is only active for 10 seconds at a time. As Andrew has explained in the comment below, there is a switch to disable "demo mode" inside the unit. Legend!

My baby is memorised by this. (2 months at the time of purchase) he stares at it for ages making it a great distraction.He isn't too keen in Bath time,, so I've occasionally bought it to bathtime and sat it within view. This would contribute to helping him remain distracted enough to enjoy a quick bath with no fuss or tears. You push the owl's head to start theusic, and it plays for 5 minutes whilst the colour also changes.

My 2 month old loves, this he'll stare at it for ages and get very sad when it stops. Highly recommended for anyone with a baby who wants to lie them down for a bit and not have them crying.I've had other things but this is only one that has consistently calmed the baby.

My baby loves this owl, it doesn't help him sleep though he likes to pick it up and watch the colours change, nice subtle tune too, makes a change from twinkle twinkle little star and somewhere over the rainbow which I'm kind of sick of hearing

I brought this for my grandson and it's used a lot I think they have changed the batteries twice since I got it for them. The music is soft and smooth and the lights change slowly you can take out the middle to wash the soft outer body.

This item was a present for a new born baby last week. I now have two lovely photos of him in his criib with the illuminated owl next to him and he can't take his eyes off it and keeps holding his finger out to touch it. Lovely gift.

Bought as a back up as my little boy loves his night time owl, the colourful lights and music really help him to settle and go sleep. Also used it to help with nappy changes as he lived the changing lights when he was newborn :)

Another fantastic product from Lamaze, our little boy lies listening to the music and watching the relaxing colours change as he falls asleep at night, the music lasts whilst he falls asleep and goes off automatically

My son loved this when we was between 6 and 12 months, and still looks at it with a big grin now, even at 18 months.Such a good product we've bought it for friends that have had children and all seem to love it.

Very sweet owl, good to put next to my son when I get him dressed for bed. My only problem with it is that the lights and music don't fade soothingly away, they just suddenly stop, which can be quite distracting!

my baby loves it and once he hears the music knows it's bed time :)I had to buy a second one because he was playing so much with it (throwing it on the floor and stuff) that the electric part got damaged

In general we are happy with the purchase. The only downside is the battery consumption. New duracell batteries last no longer than 2 weeks.Anyway it is a great toy and our baby really loves it.

Great little thing, music is soothing, i took the musical device out to get my daughter use to it ( then put it back in) and in the morning she wake me up with it.

My 6mth old baby girl adores her owl! The colour changes and the gentle melody seem to soothe her at night and she plays with him during the day. Excellent product
