The first one I got was faulty, the on/off switch was loose so the light would randomly on or off itself. The second one (I changed it) was much better.When these are on in a darkened room they are very pleasant. I had got this for my young daughter as a night light, but actually I can imagine it makes a nice ambient light / set piece for a room at any age. So, in summary check you have one that works properly, and after that it is a nice and sturdy (not thin plastic) item!

I’ve been searching for a decent Night light for ages and this doesn’t disappoint ! Firstly, it’s quite large which is bonus, it sends out a soothing glow of pink, white, blue, red and white which is very soothing and sends a calming glow through the entire room. My little girl was afraid of the dark and had trouble settling at night, now we can both get a decent nights sleep ! I highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely, larger than I expected and a great material for holding (/dropping! Robust!) My daughter absolutely loves it and at this price it's on the list for potential birthday pressies. Bought as a night light but also used as a toy! And very cute and decorative. The light is a nice gentle hue and the change of colours is a good pace. Definitely recommend

I bought this for my friends 4 year old for her birthday, I actually opened it and pop some batteries in for her, i’m good like that! I was really impressed with it, it’s a great size and the lights are very pretty. You can also buy an adapter for it so no need for batteries. I liked it so much I’ve actually bought another one for my little girl for Christmas.

Lovely night light! Really effective extra large size, which substantially illuminates an average size bedroom, in soothing sleepy colours. It’s great, my daughter loves it and uses it every night, my only grumble is that it eats 3 x AAA batteries. An electric power cable would of made this perfect, there is a port/socket for one too!

Nice little battery operated and colour changing night light. Made from a soft rubbery material it gives a lovely glow that is bright enough to read by. It cycles through a variety of colours which creates a relaxing atmosphere in the room. Bought for a unicorn fan...Loved by a unicorn fan.

I bought this as a present for a friend's daughter for Christmas. She absolutely fell in love with it right away and wouldn't leave it alone. They're having to invest in a mains power unit to run it all night! That's the only downside that it doesn't come with a power lead.

This was a Christmas gift for my unicorn obsessed daughter. Well made quality item with a changing array of colours and doesn’t look cheap at all compared to some of the unicorn themed gift that Have flooded the market since unicorns became popular.

Bought for a 2 year old daughter who likes a light on to go to sleep. Perfect size for her, and calming colour change. For us, an advantage being battery operated as there are no cables to worry about when she want's to hold it in bed with her.

Bought this for my autistic niece who is obsessed with unicorns, the bonus that it is battery operated makes it great as she can take it wherever she goes. The light is nice and soft and changes colours which can be calming. I'm very impressed

Lovely unicorn lamp which gently cycles through a rainbow of colours whilst giving off a nice warm light. My daughter loves this and it's the perfect addition to her unicorn themed room. It operates on batteries but they are lasting well.

I got this after decorating my little girls bedroom in a unicorn theme. The light is pretty when on and is a good size for the price but I would prefer it to be plug operated rather then battery. Other then that it’s a good cute light.

Bought for my daughter who assures me it is fabulous, the changing colour 'thing' is fab, and is the best lamp in the world.. ever! Unfortunately can't comment on battery life but over all the lamp is well made and delivery was quick!

I have bought this as one of my grandaughters presents for Christmas really pleased with it. Great size put the batteries in and the changing colours are lovely. Very soothing not to bright. Sure she will be pleased with it.

This was purchased as a present but my 5 yet old daughter has got her own one and loves going to bed with it. Safe even to sleep close to it. It doesn’t heat up. The changing of colours makes the light very soft and calming.
