This is a wonderful toy to have from newborn and would make a great gift. I use it with my baby to play relaxing music while getting ready for bed, it has lots of nice tunes that make him sleepy. The light is a lovely feature that projects into the ceiling as stars. The white noise I leave on when leaving the room. (It's so much better than leaving a phone or tablet in the room with white noise on!) I wasn't sure about the frog noises at first but this doesn't seem to stop him sleeping. It's useful that it turns off after half an hour too. Overall great product.

The hippo projector is very cute and soft, and my 16 month old thinks its a cuddly toy.The star lights are static, but if they rotated it would be far more soothing for a baby to watch whilst dozing off.The music sounds tinny and volume is quite low, so would've been better if there was some volume control. In addition to music there is white noise and outdoor nature sounds, which is great.I recommed this to anyone who's looking for a musical night-light rather than a soothing light-show

I bought this for my newborn daughter. We use it every night and the nature sounds seem to help soothe her. It also lights up bright enough to be able to use for a night feed, which is also handy. There is another button to press for music, however, I find the music mode a bit too jolly to be used for night times. The music/nature sounds automatically stop after 20 minutes which is great, but the star light only stays on for 5 minutes, and I’d personally like it to stay on for longer.

Bought this when my little one was just a couple of weeks old. It plays lullabies and white noise and it has been an absolute life saver at bed time. We only really use the white noise feature mostly because the music can get annoying for mummies and daddies on a 30 minute loop. My little girl loves it so much I've bought a second one as a spare in case anything happens to the first one or so we can have at grandma's etc. Volume is good not too loud or quiet.lights aren't great though.

Bought as a soother to as our old and much love lights and sounds box had finally given up. Initially loved it but I don't know many children who fall asleep in 5 minutes or less which is all the time the beautiful but static stars are out for. The music and natural sounds last so much longer than this. It seems rather thoughtless as little ones love the pretty lights. At which point you are back to square one with a little one not settling.A shame as the sounds and music are lovely.

I have three kids in age from infant to school kid and all of them enjoy this Hippo from Fisher Price! We made a nice night routine. Every evening we reading a book and after that they put on a Hippo projector. They love to watch stars on walls! They put on music or natural sounds and they easily fall a sleep. Good quality! They are fighting with one will cuddle their Hippo. Worth every Penny! The music is on for long time - so parents don’t need to worry about you pressing it again!

The music on this is not the softest of sounds, Love the option of white noise or lullabies. The star projection feature is nice but would be better if the stars moved around the room as I originally expected and they don’t stay on for long. Wouldn’t leave it in the cot incase my daughter held it up and dropped it on herself as the dome for the lights is hard plastic, also it has to be on a cupboard quite high to be able to see the lights properly as they are not that strong.

I bought this toy to help comfort my baby at night. The stars are not too bright therefore they soothe her as opposed to waking her up, there is a good mix of lullabies but I prefer the nature sounds and so does my baby - they help her drift straight off to sleep peacefully. Sounds stay on for half hour which is handy as by then baby properly asleep. Light also turns off by itself after about 10 minutes which i find is appropriately in time with when it is no longer required.

This is a Great little product.1. It works as a nightlight and the stars on the wall do look very relaxing and transforms the room into a sensory room.2. My two year old loves teddies so cuddles into it when she goes to bed.3. It plays white noise and the volume is at a perfect level so not to overpowering.4. Plays music as well as white noise. you can have the light and music on at the same time or you can turn either of them off to what suits you best.

Light is not as powerful as one would think you have to be in complete darkness to see the stars on the wall or ceiling. That is one, next thing is the light doesn’t really move. I kind of thought it would from looking at the pictures on the website as my child is fascinated with movement at this stage(2 month old) and would have lost its mind if the stars were dancing. We still use it for white noise and the music is not that bad, baby seems to like it.

We’ve been dedicated to other projection and noise soothers in the past but thought we’d give this product a try. It did not disappoint! The projection of stars all over the walls and ceiling is one of our favourite features but we also love the wide variety of sounds available, including a soothing white noise that lasts for up to 30 minutes! Our little one loves to touch the soft head and limbs. It’s also not too bulky so perfect for travel too.

The light is excellent in general, it is cuddly and provides a good night light projection of stars with accompanying music or noises from nature or white noise. The only catch is that it only illuminates and plays for a little while before turning off to preserve the Batteries. The time is not really enough to background lighting during feeding of our younger baby but as a comforting light for an imaginative toddler it will be great.

The hippo didn't stop my toddler waking us up but it did help get him back to sleep quicker. The light lasts 5 mins so sometimes I had to go back in and put it in for him but the music and nature/white noise sound lasts for about 30 mins. My only complaint us that the buttons are flush and my toddler couldn't work them in the dark and this led to panicked cries of 'dark, dark' until I turned it back on.

Absolutely love this item! I did expect the lights to move on it but it doesnt, its only a small drawback. The music is nice, i find it helps lull my little one off to sleep, the lights are super helpful to put on rather than have the main light on when i am nipping in to feed her, overall does exactly what i expected, and i expect it to last well probably for other children we have too!

I was after something that wasn't too expensive so this seemed like the perfect choice. It's nothing too fancy and i didn't read up on it so didn't realise that the light was static but this doesn't really bother me. Mainly bought for the sounds as our house is very quiet at night and the lullabies and noises sound nice. Not had the little one yet so i can't say if it works.
