This toy is a huge hit with my 10 month-old niece and her big brother (2y7m). It’s lightweight and appealing with lovely bright colors, and has lots of activities to keep little ones amused and out of trouble. The main unit, a bird with outstretched wings, sits on a rocker base filled with little balls that rattle as it moves from side to side. Then there are four cute animals: a chicken, a cat (which also rattles) a penguin and a rabbit that slot onto bumps on the wings. The idea is to balance them evenly, two on each wing. If the weight is unevenly distributed, then the bird tilts to one side. What I really like about this toy is that it can appeal to both babies and toddlers. While my niece is happy just to play with the little animals, rock the birdie and spin the flower on its tummy, my nephew has already figured out what he has to do to stop the birdie tilting. Anything that stimulates logical thinking like this gets the thumbs up from me.Also important is the fact that all the elements of this toy are easy to wipe down with a cloth to remove sticky fingerprints and dirt. There are no crevices that could harbor a build up of germs, and for me this is a big bonus. All things considered, I think this is a well-conceived, robust, educational toy that promises hours of fun. And it’s excellent value for the price. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. This educational toy from Fisher Price is well presented. It's colourful and stimulates several senses during play. Ideally, this is to satisfy curiosity around balance, which is does do, by popping the cute animals on to the bases on the wings of bluebird. In reality, this offered some entertainment, more time was spent playing with the animals on their own.The animals can stack upon one another, creating animal towers - this delighted our little girl tester. All the edges are rounded - their was some mouth to toy action, all safe. There are also "feathers" which are tightly attached and durable. Some of the other features are the spinning flower, which isn't too noisy and the enclosed beads which can be shaken ans are visible too.All these features were engaged with.Ultimately, the balancing act is the starter activity with this set, where with initial guidance you can show how to balance the bird correctly, however this set does offer further play options, which I hadn't initially expected. It stores well too, with the animals mounted on the wings.A pleasant and innovative toy from Fisher Price.

The Fisher-Price Stack and Rattle Birdie is a bright, well made and fun toy suitable for babies aged approx. 6mths+. With 4 cute and smiley animal shaped blocks – chicken, rabbit, cat and penguin - to stack on the birdie’s wings, your little one can balance the weight or put them all on one side. The birdie then rocks from side to side (beating the wings with the blocks also works!!!), with the little beads in the body rattling and rolling, an action which caused my great niece to giggle and clap her hands. As with all Fisher-Price early years toys, the rattle birdie helps develop age appropriate thinking, sensory and fine motor skills. Finally, the wood, plastic and fabric used are all easy to wipe clean – an important feature with little ones toys when dealing with sticky fingers, mouths etc. 5*

My child absolutely loves this Fisher-Price balance toy. It’s keeps him entertained with the bright colourful designs and quirky characters. It’s not very heavy at all.The toys design has been based around a blue and wooden effect owl and you can balance the little characters on the wings. It makes rattling noises. There are four character accessories provided in this set which are cat, chick, penguin etc. This develops fine motor skills such as balancing. It tilts side to side when they are placed onto the wing. This toy is really easy to clean down with a cloth. It isn’t a bad price either so would make a nice gift. A well made and quality Fisher Price product. Suitable for babies and toddlers I would say.Recommended.Nice for a nursery.

When I opened the package I admit I was not very impressed. It is a colourful and quite simple balancing activity for little ones. I did wonder how appealing it would be.How wrong I was! The fourteen month-old in the family absolutely loves it. She particularly likes the stacking birds and plays with them for long periods uninterrupted. She is not so interested in the balancing activity – this will probably come later but she stacks the birds, moves them around, talks to them and tosses them around. Amazing how such simple things can amuse a baby for such a long time.It is made to the usual high standards of Fisher-Price and represents good value.

This is a fun and original toy that makes a great addition to any toy box! The cute rattling figurines are great for encouraging baby to explore percussion, while the see-saw balancing action of the birdie is fab for problem-solving.The toy as a whole is bright and appealing, with a range of different aspects for babies to explore (stacking, balancing, turning the little orange star etc.) I also really like the range of materials used to expose babies to different textures — fabric, wood and plastics all make an appearance. The beads enclosed in the base also provide further sensory stimulation.A hit in our house and hopefully in yours too!

This is such a cute and simple toy for 6 months+. The Birdie itself is quite large and chunky and perfect for small hands and the little figures that go on top are easy to grip and has rattly beads and a spinning wheel on the front. It's all cute and colourful and great fun. When you add the figures you can either put them 2 each side to keep it balanced or add them all on one side to make it rock and be unbalanced. It's great for children to learn about quantities and what happens when it isn't even.Great colourful fun, my little ones love it, it looks appealing and is a nice original, simple idea.

Fisher-Price is a name I remember from being tiny myself almost half a century ago and they always had the most desirable toys, and it seems nothing much has changed. There's plenty to keep a baby entertained, from the bright colours to the spinning wheel, the rocking motion of the balance, the rattling beads, the cute faces on the birds, and the extra textures and nubbly bits. I found the wooden trim somewhat extraneous really, as the toy is very largely plastic.Sturdy and with plenty of play value, this will be a family favourite.

My youngest granddaughter has just started to crawl and can stand by holding on to something and she really likes this. It’s big enough to be interesting, the brightly coloured cups are easy to grip, there’s a spinner in the middle and it makes a rattling noise when you move it. She doesn’t have the idea of stacking the cups on the bird yet but just enjoys playing with the cups and the bird; she particularly likes that orange cat as it rattles. It’s brightly coloured and being Fisher Price is strong and robust. A good toy.

Actually really good toy. This is bright and really appealing, baby is entranced by the fact that it rocks, and the little figures provide fun and an opportunity to practice dexterity. Also little spinning parts on this and a little game in trying to get this to balance. This was given to a 15 month old, Who loved it putting little figures in place, taking them off and putting them back on again. It’s robust, very easy to clean and sterilise, and actually really good value.

A lot of toys are variations of similar toys that have come before them. This, however, is brand new, and great fun for little ones. The Rattle Birdie is BIG. at approx 30cm wide, and 24cm tall its a high impact toy! The base is nicely weighted, so stands up well on its own, and as you place the stacking cups on either side it rocks nicely. This is a great toy for a little once, its bright/colourful / friendly-looking and great fun!

this is such a well made toy and so educational while being fun. it comes well packed but thankful not overpacked. its great value for money as its so well made and it lovely to play with. we love the design and the way all the characters can be held with ease in tiny hands. you can try to teach balance or just have fun stacking and watching it rock and rattle. this makes for a lovely gift for sure.

Plenty of activities on there for the baby to do, keep their minds occupied for a while. I would definitely say that this is 100% Baby friendly and it's fun for them. It's great for their hand eye coordination skills and because it's fun, they learn and develop those skills quicker and faster. It's strong and sturdy and you haven't got to worry about parts breaking off.

This is a cracking toy, much larger than I thought but that’s a goood thing. . It is a simple stack and play toy but it’s very simplicity is what makes it so perfect for the age group it is aimed at. It is well made, sturdy and easily wiped clean with a cloth. A lovely toy which toddlers will live and would make a great gift.

Colourful and sturdy.Your little one learns how to stack easily. Or just like them to tumbleNot for very little ones but it's proved a hit.But the toy did have a limited appeal. The quality is what you would expect from Fisher Price. They make toys that last and can be enjoyed by several generations of kids.
