Out of the box you get the impression that this item is beautifully well made and is robust enough to be thrown around by a toddler, which has been proven true many a time.It's a deceptively simple toy, you just press the heart and the seahorse glows & plays music. It's perfect for bed time and it currently resides in my sons crib, it makes a fantastic distraction if he isn't quite tired enough to go off right away.My only criticism of this product is that the music doesn't play long enough.

Both my toddler & newborn love this.The light is bright compared to other similar products, it’s cute and the tummy is made of very soft plastic. The music is relaxing & soothing, and I like the fact that once the music is playing you can carry on pushing the tummy and it doesn’t turn off until you switch it off at the back or until the timer switches it off automatically.There are 2 volume settings and 2 song settings.This a great bedtime toy for older toddlers & sensory toy for babies.

My daughter was excited about her new toy. Little did she know it’d help her fall asleepMy daughter is 12 months old but I struggle to get her to admit she’s tired (normal I know) but I didn’t want her to always rely on cuddles from mummy to sleep. The sounds are soothing and more often than not she’ll drift off calmly to sleep with it. I have once too! I’d say it’d be ideal for newborn. The tunes only play for 5 minutes, on occasions this was just that little bit too short for my 12 month old

Our son was instantly attracted to the glow & sounds of the Seahorse. He enjoyed giving it a hug to activate it. We tried it several times in the early hours after baby woke due to sleep regression & teething. Within a few minutes the soothing sounds sent baby back to sleep. I believe the toy has great potential to become more effective as baby will learn to recognise it as a soother & used at a time for going back to sleep. We liked the two sound levels, ocean sounds & how soft the toy was too.

I bought this for my newborn great niece as my granddaughter already has the Fisher Price musical owl which is an essential in getting her happily off to sleep. The music is soothing - it often has me just about nodding off! The little seahorse has some watery sounds added in to the music, a reminder to newborns of their soothing watery environment in the womb before birth. My niece tells me her little daughter easily settles down and is calmed by the music and the glow from the soft lighting.

My first child had one from the age of two and she used it every night and is now 6 and just starting to not use itSo four years can’t be bad and now we have got thisnone for our second child and like our first child had taken to it straight awayBatteries last a fair time and the light up belly gives the child the security of light if they feel nervous in a room that’s darkReally pleased with the item and would recommendAlso delivery service was quick and do feel the price is good too

I bought this for my son at 22 months. I mistakenly thought there was the option to have the light without the music, which would make it better. It has two volume settings but the quietest is still quite loud and wakes my son up if he rolls on it and I’ve forgotten to take it out of the bed. However, my son absolutely loves it. It’s very soothing and he no longer cries when I take him to bed because he has his musical seahorse with him. It immediately became his favourite bedtime companion.

When I received this product, I was looking forward to trying it out with my nearly 5 month old. However, my 2 and a half month old managed to get his hands on it first- so it passed the durability test quite well! It has a lovely soft glowing light that when pressed ( it’s tummy) plays some lovely songs that lasts perhaps a few seconds. My little girl loves this and it has encouraged her to reach out and to explore and press it herself. It’s a great product and I would highly recommmend!

The toy works so well for my 2 month old, he’s not been that interested in toys or teddies yet but he loves this he cuddles it, he lays next to it staring at the light and it almost always sends him to sleep, I would say though it’s quite annoying that it only lasts 5 mins would be so much better if you could turn it on and off instead or 10 min runs because one never sends him to sleep so we have to keep going back and pressing it. But for the money I think it’s fantastic and so worth it.

I bought the blue one of these nearly 10 years ago for my son when he was a newborn, he had it for years and absolutely loved it! I was amazed to see it still for sale all this time later, I am expecting a baby girl in September and now purchased the pink one for her as it was such a big hit with my son.Make sure you pull out the tab in from the battery box inside the seahorse or the music wont play for as long as it should, you can also choose how loud the volume is that way.

I cannot fault this toy in the slightest. The look, feel and functions are just so well done and delightful I’m sorry I waited until my daughter was 3 months old to buy it. Has different running time settings so you can have around half a minute each press or around 5 minutes each press depending on preference.Lovely soothing light for delicate little eyes and beautiful lullabies and tunes for your baby to relax, think or sleep. This product gets a 10/10 from me.

Ok so this little toy is made beautifully, it plays lovely soothing music and glows when you press its tummy. There is a time setting on the back so it can switch off after 5 minutes and the music doesn't play on continuously driving the adults mad. Great little soother but doesn't do anything other than glow and play music so I can't see how it would help a child's development.Having said that the baby couldn't wait to get it out the box and explore it.

Unfortunately the quality let's it down. I bought a pink one too but the blue material at the back of the blue seahorse did not fit well with the Velcro. Also the switch is of poor quality. It does not seem to switch off to the end, it just goes to the middle. I was disappointed as I bought one blue & one pink for my grandchildren. The previous one was bought a3 yrs ago in Boits & it was lovely.Apart from this I love the music, so soothing & calming.

We brought a seahorse for my first born (5 on saturday) and he still uses it now wont sleep without his music on Our second son (1 year old) had a Fisher price cot mobile but that has broken within a year and a half so we have opted for another seahorse and it's just as good as the other one My little sister (5 years old) has a pink version and she still uses hers too I recommend this to all my friends and will continue to do so

This is the ideal toy to help with sleep training! My son responds to the gentle sounds and on the first day was asleep with 15 minutes! The soft material makes it suitable to use for a young baby and the night light has a mild glow; ideal for encouraging sleep. The central area is plastic and my son is too young to press down on it himself but it will grow with him. I can see him playing with this toy for some time.
