This product is excellent. It really does give you that extra peace of mind knowing that the room is just the right temperature, and if not you know how far off you are and can do something about it. It gives you the correct temperature levels on the back of the egg as well with the corresponding colours, so even if you're unsure of the exact correct temperature it's not difficult to check the back of the egg or just to rely on the colour. Plus it can act like a small night light if you're little one likes it a bit brighter at night.

I'd recommend it for the piece of mind it brings when you are at home or out and about.I haven't checked the thermometer against another, but assume it works fine.The nightlight is not bright enough and is merely an indicator of the temp.Additionally, the large plug that goes in the back of the Gro Egg is too big and means it can't be placed anywhere with a thin depth, such as a shelf or mantle piece.It would be great if it were rechargeable, so that it didn't need to be plugged in to work.

We've bought this for our unborn childs room so we can monitor it's temperature and get used to keeping it at the correct temp.It's great! The colours are a good indicator and because it acts as a night light it's not too bright - it's just right. We bought the 'owl cowl' to make it look like a sleeping owl.As for accuracy, I've used another room thermometer and they both reading the same. There are comments around that these are not that accurate, but I've found it to be accurate.

We wanted to purchase this a few months ago. We finally did, and we are not disappointed with it.We were using our weather station initially in our daughters bedroom for measuring the temp of her room.The gro egg is much better for doing this. As soon as I pop my head in her room weather it is night or day i can instantly read the gro egg and the colour glow aspect of it makes it all the more special.This is our 4th gro product we have purchased. Well done gro and argos

We have this setup next to our newborns crib, it is great. Give a clear indication of the temp via the digital screen and its glowing colour. Would highly recommend as enables accurate adjustment of the room temp for the baby and enables you to know how much clothing the little one needs for bed. Only bad point is the glow is not the brightest during the day or if there is a light source in the room can be a little hard to see the colour.

After moving to our new home that has the sun on the sun on the back all day on my little girls room we thought it would be a good idea to know what temperature her room is at. This is really good because we can keep check by just looking at the colour of the egg so during the night (especially) in the summer we will know if her room temperature is okay by just looking rather than going in a disturbing her. Best thing we've bought!!

In my opinion this is an absolute must have for parents we all worry about if we are keeping a baby too warm or if it's too cold and this takes all the worry out of it! It is alarmed if too cold/ hot it has "smilie" or "sad" faces to indicate clearly and is also colour coded we have had our first one for 11 years now(since we had our first baby and have purchased another for our caravan as we class it as an essential highly recommended

I was looking for a visable temperature indicator for the bedroom so I could see at a glance what the temperature was without getting out of bed & going over to the light as I was doing before with a simular product. But this does exactly what it says on the box. accurate & easy to use. Very usefull to have big didgets as well as a colour check as when your half asleep it's simple. Expensive for what it is. But makes life easier :)

Not sure on the accuracy but colour changes to show the temp changing. Red if too hot, blue if too cold, yellow for just right and orange for warm. Luckerly been yellow and orange whilst in use so my twin bits are very comfy and happy sleeping - would recommend as easy to see the colours rather than finding a screen with numbers to work out if too hot or cold in the middle of the night whilst the little ones are crying

we brought one of these when our daughter was born 3 years ago. we still keep it on everyday now still as its really helpful with my husband who suffers with the heat. its nice to know if its too hot in our room that we can open window/turn heating down etc. we recently brought one as a present for our friends baby as we was so impressed with it. if ours ever goes wrong we wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

our little son paul hates the dark but really loves eggs, so this was ideal for him. i dont know why he loves eggs so much if its the shape or the feel of them in his little hands. he has said on many ocassions when he grows up he wants to be humpty dumpty.he loves it when the light is on he sits watching it for hours to change. on a few occasions i have seen him trying to sit on it to make it hatch.

This little thermometer displays the temperature and changes colour to indicate whether the room is too cold, too hot or just right. It makes keeping an eye on the room conditions simple as you can see at a glance if things need adjusting. It is very easy to use, you just plug it in and then let it do it's thing. All in all, a very simple to use, effective little item that looks quite cute.

Really simple and easy to use. Really enlightened us to the temperature in the nursery before baby arrives and how warm our room was as will be having the crib in there. Picked up the owl shell to make it look even greater! Really recommend this product and liked the info in the box too of what bedding etc to use in each temperature colour - we're first time parents so every little helps :)

I bought this for an elderly friend whose house is always very cold - explained that if it is blue, the heating needs to go on. Only had it a few days but his house is now warmer as he can see the colour without having to get up and check the thermometer. It's intended for a baby's room but I think it's also ideal for an elderly person who doesn't realise that their house is getting cold

Really like the fun design. The colour changes make it easy to see if the correct temperature range has been achieved. Only slight disadvantage is that you cannot select your own temperature ranges as these are pre-set, however the large display allows you to manually read the temperature. Not only for children's rooms - I use it in my lounge. Note: runs off mains power not batteries.
