Nothing on the box mentions that this is sentient? Or did we get a haunted model?I bought this as our boy was mesmerised by an older model of it we saw, however this one plays music and not a variety of soothing noises as the older model did.So it can be turned on with the light /music buttons, but our one turns on automatically when our baby cries. This isn't mentioned on the box or anywhere else, so...? Anyway, this is useful at night as then I have dim light to see by when attending to him, but it burns through batteries like crazy so we've killed 6 aa batteries in a few weeks (takes 3 at a time) - also on one of the button combos it just stays on instead of playing for 30 mins,

The Next2stars fits not only on the chicco next 2 me bedside cribs but on any cot with rails upto 38mm so I’ve been able to use it on both. The night light and sound features are great and I was really happy to be able to turn the volume up and down. It’s plays 5 different tunes and last 30 minutes which is brilliant to be able to get baby to sleep to. The night light also has a feature that plays music again when your baby wakes to gently soothe them back to sleep. There is a cute little teddy that baby can play with that Velcro’s to the light my daughter pulled this off straight away and it’s not been back on the light !

This is a really lovely lights and sounds projector. I use it free standing but it attaches easily to a cot or travel cot. A wheel at the back switches it on and off and adjusts the volume. The moon shaped button on the front switches lights between projection, soft projection (lamp) and night light (where only the moon button is illuminated). The round musical note button switches sounds between soft rock, jazz, modern, new age with nature sounds and classic. After lights and/or music have finished (about 30 minutes) it will enter standby mode, unless switched off, then the sound sensor activates light and music again if it detects crying. The soft light projection works well when you need a low light.

I think this is a lovely product that you can either affix to the crib/ cot or have as a stand alone on a table etc.The light will project and change colour, or be one colour lamp or switch onto standby so just the moon button is lit.There is a choice of melodies, my personal favourites being the new age with nature sounds and the 3 traditional melodies. You can control the volume and on/off using the wheel in the back.After 30minutes the product will switch to standby but when a cry is detected will switch back on again which is a great feature!The teddy o the side can be attached via a Velcro tab or played with separately.I would recommend this product, I think it would be a lovely addition to any nursery!

This next to stars is genuinely amazing. It’s from age 0 but my toddler absolutely loves it and I can see him using it for years to come. The stars shine around his whole room or It can be targeted to a smaller area with smaller stars. The lights change frequently, it’s beautiful and so calming. Both my son and I fell asleep to it the first time we used it. I know the music playing is meant to be Mozart and other classics but to me, it’s simply just very soothing. My son loves to stare at the stars while listening to the music and simply just falls asleep and to make it even more perfect, it turns itself off after half an hour which is the perfect amount of time. I really can’t recommend this highly enough.

My 2,5 year old still loves his so I had to buy another for my 2 month old. I’ve gotten very used to the melodies over the years, they’re soft and comforting. I also like that you can chose which light setting to leave it on or turn the light off and only have music playing. The only downside is that whatever setting you leave it on, when the thing gets noise (cry) activated in the middle of the night, the full light option comes on so could potentially wake up a baby even more but it’s not been a problem for mine (if they were making noise, it meant they were up for a feed anyway so a little bit of light didn’t make it any worse).I’d recommend using rechargeable batteries (we use IKEA ones)

Absolutely fantastic product. When it first arrived I didn’t think much of it to be honest, thought it wasn’t worth the £20 I paid, seemed a bit cheaply made. But after a few months of use- this is a great product. Fits into my next to me crib, projects starts onto the ceiling and plays music. My son loves it. He knows when his light box goes on and he’s in bed- it’s sleepy time. Also great amount of light for midnight nappy changes, saves you turning light on. Only downside is the batteries last a couple of weeks if that. We have now purchased rechargeable batteries and this has saved us money. Not sure if this will fit onto a cot yet- really hope so,

My little lady is 7 months and we have been using this wondering musical light show now for at least 3 months. My daughter loves interacting with it and staring up and watching the stars on the ceiling. The quality is fabulous and I can’t find fault at all. I particularly love the 20 minute automatic switch off so no need to crawl, tiptoe or shuffle back in to the nursery to switch it off. I love the size, design and the fact that it’s no over colorful so fits in perfectly worn our nursery decor. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My little one can never sleep at night but he has loved the next2star they are perfect for young children with sleeping difficulties. The projection of the star is very light but not too harsh to affect the child eyes. It is a very light box which can be situated anywhere in the room and the music that comes with is is very soothing and relaxing. From the moment we used this night light we were extremely impressed. Projected stars fill our bedroom and the classical music helps our little one to falls asleep with ease. Light and music lasts approx 30 mins before turning off which can be annoying however, it's a good way to keep track of how long we have both been awake. Honestly don't know what I'd do without this night light! Only downfall is it drains batteries very quickly so it can get expensive having to keep replacing them.

My little girl loves this, we use it every night. The stars are nice, although don't expect them to move or anything, it's a static projection. But still good. It doesn't really detect crying though. It usually turns on in the morning when we're playing and laughing but doesn't bother in the night when she's genuinely screaming. And when it does she can't hear it because she's screaming. But it's great as background noise when she's on the edge of sleep and to help send her off.

What I love about this is the slot that allows you to clip it to the side of a cot or travelcot, without having to have a table nearby to set it on. 7 different classical music options and its really good being able to turn the volume up or down with the scroll wheel. The light is also really fun, I like to leave the baby in total darkness for sleeping, but she loves the light when I do put it on sometimes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I don’t understand why the reviews are so bad! I use it most nights, mainly as a nightlight. My son loves watching the stars change colour and slowly fade in and out. The music isn’t amazing but it honestly does the job. Gives out the perfect amount of light for nighttime feeds and helps keep my little boy settled and happy in his crib. I haven’t had any issues with the batteries either I used cheap batteries and they’re still going strong 2 weeks later.

This Chicco Next2Stars cot projector is really soothing for my baby. It has a selection of music including ‘classic’ and also gives you the option of playing nature sounds which aids with my baby falling to sleep naturally. The stars that are projected are also beautiful and my baby loves to watch them from his cot. An all in all perfect item to develop sensory skills and support with sleep. This has been a godsend! Didn't really use it with my daughter for the first few weeks, but now at 15 weeks it's part of her bedtime routine. She'll happily go to sleep with the music and stars on! Is a great fit on the side of the chicco cot too, although would probably fit on must travel cots! I like that you can turn off the music/stars separate. This will turn back on if noise is made (so if baby cries) or you can just turn it fully off.
