Bought this for a 7 month old, and I'm pleased to report, he loves it!The sound isn't too loud when it's got new batteries in, unlike many electronic toys. He looks to cuddle it when it's time to sleep and in one month we've had to replace the batteries once with constant use. Although, not reading the instructions properly, I failed to realise that you could turn it off by holding it's belly for longer, so it was playing for 15 mins over and over again. Doh!It only gives two hoots at the beginning of the music, which is kind of disappointing to me, but it would probably disturb baby if it did it during the music playing. The light comes on for a short period and then goes off,

Had one of these bought for our child for Xmas so when it came to buying a present for our friends newborn this was perfect! The lullabies and soothing glow (goes off after 5 minutes) are just perfect for settling little one and they turn off after 15 minutes. The owl is soft and has rubber feet, which our little one loves to chew at the moment due to teething, couldn't ask for a better product, Love this owl!Although I agree with other reviewers that there could be more padding around the owls sound box, I didn't feel this posed too much of a problem and my child hasn't hurt themselves on it. Now at 8 months she manages to easily turn the music and glow on herself and this isn't an issue.Lovely,

I bought this for my daughter before she was born.It arrived next day and was nicely packaged.My daughter has used it since she was born and she is now 7 months old !It is not that battery hungry, and i use this all the time for nap times , bed time and when she wakes during the night each time playing for 15 minutes and I have only had to replace the battery's twice !I like the light stays on for a few minutes then fades with the lullaby's and just plays the lullaby's , it is loud but has never effected my daughter falling asleep to it.This helps my daughter fall asleep so I think it was a great buy for her.I do recommend this product like I said my only downside is it is pretty loud.

We were given one of these for my son when he born and started using it when he went into his room at 7 months old. It is brilliant! We are on our second one now just because we accidentally left it on holiday, but my son is now nearly 3 and still uses it in bed to soothe himself. Plays simple nursery melodies that are repeated and I think my son like the repetitive element as it became familiar and comforting to him quickly. My two nephews have also have them and love them. It's does the job it's meant to and it's an adorable little owl that little ones can hold, hug, suck, chew and love!

My grand daughter of 5 months (when purchased) absolutely loves ‘Ollie’. She has a big beaming smile and giggles as soon as the music plays. Perfect for her going to sleep!! She also loves his feet to chew on.... well any part of him to be honest as everything goes on her mouth!! ?. Well worth the cost and recommended. Just remember to flick the switch on the speaker to switch from demo mode to full length music sequence.

I've bought two of these owls as gifts for new babies, the first was for my grandson, I was so impressed I bought another, we took the plastic ties off and replaced with a long ribbon, this made it easier to tie to the Moses basket, it settles him instantly and my daughter doesn't go anywhere with out it. The parents that had the second owl are so grateful and said their daughter won't settle with out it.

Very Nice Owl - the hoot is very feeble though! It is a bit fiddly to work but after reading reviews I was tipped off regarding the short test sounds which only consist of a few seconds (saves on batteries) you need to move the 'thingy' in the opposite direction then it will play properly - you can switch it off completely too.

A good comfort to my baby. Plays variety of non-annoying songs. Light turns off after 5 minutes and music keeps playing. Removable battery compartment which is useful for when owl needs a wash (washed well on Handwash setting). Loses a star for battery compartment not sealing completely and light turning off before music.

We had already purchased one of these from a different shop - Daughter fell in love with it (plays lullaby music at a nice volume, also the light fades after a few mins which is helpful) but then we left it behind on a family trip! Amazon was the cheapest and fastest way to purchase another.

brilliant little owl that my little boy absolutely loves! he's a fussy baby who's very difficult to settle, however with his new best friend he soon drifts off! cons are it doesn't play the songs for long enough so you have to keep pressing it back on. other than that excellent buy ?

Really cute toy. What I like the most about it is the fact you can take singing part out and wash the toy. I've read other reviews and few people said;" no switch button " Open the toy at the back and check properly. There is. It's not a big toy but very good size for my 1 year old.

My son loves this so much. Its the right size for him. Just press the tummy for the tunes and light to start, at first the tunes only lasted 30 secs so when i turned it off and on from the back it started playing for 15mins so i assume it was on display mode. Brilliant little toy

Really good value for money! There is a button on battery pack that once clicked a cross plays music continuously.Bit loud for soothing. I would recommend ewan8the sheep for that but this definitely keeps my newborn occupied when on play mat or doing tummy time

Baby loves it and so do I! I bought this for the 15 mins of music however when I pressed the tummy it only played for 5 seconds. EASY FIX if you have the same product - just change the batteries. Once playing for 15mins it's a lovely soothing aid for my baby.

Bought this as a spare- my little boy loves it. 15 minutes of music just before bed - really helps if you have to travel at night and need to get baby to go to sleep in their car seat.This one is going to live at our childminder's house.
