My parents bought this for our son for Christmas, and although it says ages 0-6 months on the box he's only just beginning to be able to use it now at 3 months. Previously he was too small & his arms and legs couldn't even reach the floor, let alone spin the turntable! A more accurate age guide would probably be 2-3 months up. That said the colours are really bright and catch his attention and the mat has a number of activities to play with even without the turntable, including a mirror, a crinkly leaf, and a peek-a-boo bug.Edit: my son is now 9 months old and never used the turn table as by the time his arms and legs had the strength and co-ordination to move it around he was too big for it and could also roll over on his own and therefore fall off.

I brought this 2 days ago and it arrived yesterday, the packaging was good and I love the service I know receive with the new couriers for amazon. However, I've only marked this as 4 stars because my daughter is classed through her height chart as an average of the 75th tallest UK baby from 100. I don't know whether the size of the mat seemed affected by her height but when I put her on this, the mat seemed extremely small so instead of her touching the mat she strops and tries to grab the carpet instead. I ordered a "1 normal" which ment nothing to me as it doesn't state anything different that I could find in the description. I also thought that the lady bug seat was some how able to connect and disconnect from the mat but that's not the case.

Have seen many of these products online but liked this one because of the colours and activities. Bought for 6 week old baby girl and whilst she only goes on it for a short period of time each day, seems to have strengthened her neck. At first she wasn't so keen and cried/moaned a little as she was not used to being on her belly, two weeks later and she doesn't cry and enjoys the activities. Not sure if she has started to stretch for the activities or whether it is by accident that she grabs them but which ever way, she is enjoying them. The mirror is clear and moveable, there is also a peek a boo rattle and other good activities. Not a very big play gym and probably will be out of it by six months but is doing the job now.

We are big Lamaze fans in our house and so we thought that we would give this product a try because our little boy HATES being on his tummy! We put him on this just before he was 3 months and it was the longest and happiest he had been on his tummy. He was a little too short to put his feet on the floor (and he is tall for his age) but he did try and move himself around using his hands. Now a month on and he enjoys the mat much more because his head control is much better and he can lift his head up to see the mat. The downside to the product was the size of the actual mat - a lot smaller than I expected and a little tricky to see all of the lovely things on it. However,

We ordered this for our (then) we week old son as we felt he needed a new activity to do that would help bring on his development. The mat and play bar is vibrant in colour and he took to it right away. The three hanging toys are great (a baby mirror with taggies on the perimeter, crinkly Freddie firefly and two teethers) and they really hold his interest.The mat itself is soft to the touch and easy to wipe clean and just ever so slightly padded though not much.Our son is now 16 weeks old and he still loves playing on this numerous times a day. It's great for tummy time to with the hanging toys unclupped from the bar and later out in front of him :)Size wise it's ideal.

I love the vivid colours on the mat and I think the toy it's a lovely idea. I have ordered two boxes. One for my daughter and one for my friend who is due in few days time.Unfortunately I did not open the boxes until today (3 months later) as I wanted my little one to have a go on it today. How big was my disappointment when I realised that the mat is missing from one of the boxes! Unfortunately it's too late to contact the seller and complain :( This will teach me a lesson to check items thoroughly immediately after they arrive :( I was really lucky that I opened the incomplete box, otherwise I'd send it unchecked as a present! Be warned and always check yours.

I gave this 5 stars because I love it.I bought this for my Grandson because it had been recommended to my daughter by a baby group that had one for the mothers to try out. After my Grandson had tried it in the group, my daughter said that he loved it. Fantastic for tummy time! It arrived in next to no time and it looked interesting. My Grandson, 4 months old was completely in his element. He was pulling himself around touching all the different things. It looked like hard work and can only stay on it for a short time. But the time he does spend on it greatly improves head and neck strength. Lovely product, very colourful and baby friendly.I would recommend.

Fabulous buy, my daughter loves it! However, Its a lil more difficult to work on laminite flooring, carpets best option. Lovly purchase..my lil one has regular daily excercise on this play mat, she cant last long on the middle part as it uses alot ov her energy up trying to keep her hed up, loves to play about with the bits n bobs on the mat as she pushes herself around the mat. I will say one negetive thing mind, the seat cover is very thin and cud be padded for babys comfort, i no if i was lying on my belly for so many mins id want to be comfy, and it feels quite hard, so padding shud be added. Overall great buy *** xxx

I bought this as our daughter loved her tummy time but at a few months old wasn't strong enough to lift her head for long and kept face planting. She was so frustrated and I didn't want her to stop enjoying tummy time. This was great and really strengthened her back. She couldn't turn it it for a while but that was okay just playing with the scrunchy leaves was enough. Now she can turn the table it has a whole different appeal and the mat is great on its own - she can roll over and find fun things to do. For a Mum it is practical as lightweight, packes down small, washes and most importantly dries really easily.

Bought this gym as a stop gap while staying at my mums during maternity leave.My little one was 9 weeks on arrival at mums and was held amused by the stunning colours and patterns on the gym, she is now 15.5 weeks and swiping at the dangling toys and now holding her head more steady, is able to use the cushion.The mat can be folded up and stuffed in a bag with the feet and toys allowing it to be taken with you is visiting friends and family, only the hoop needs carrying.Haven't had to clean it yet so cant comment on ease of cleaning.very happy with the product and would recommend it highly.

I bought this gym for my second child as my first didn't like laying on his tummy much. Well, to be honest, she didn't either but my friend's children did. So I was disappointed to start with, although she still played on the mat. It has a mirror, a butterfly whose wings make crackling noise and others activities.My 3 year old son absolutely loves the turning ladybird and has been playing with it from the start. As my daughter is now walking, she enjoys sitting on it and playing merry-go-round as well! Therefore I recommend it even if you find out that your child doesn't take to it at first.

for me son i had a simple play mat. he wasn't really interested in it, get bored very soon. and the for my wee girl i find this one. and its amazing. she lies on it, spins around with her wee hands. and now - she is 5 months old and sits perfectly alone. this gym trains her back and tummy muscles, arms and coordination, imagination. great for little ones from around 2-3 months - whenever you don't need to support their head.my girl really enjoys playing on it. just one small thing - that you cant put baby on it straight after eating (otherwise - everything goes up).

Love this! Have used from newborn and to begin with she’d only be in there a couple of minutes but now at 9 weeks she’s more entertained by it. I can leave her in here for about 20 mins.My house rabbit also thinks it’s his toy so I’ve washed the mat in the washing machine and it’s come out fine.Great as you can hang other toys off the rail using the hooks. Really like all the Lamaze stuff - can’t go wrong!Only criticism is that the pillow slips as baby wriggles so they end up being flat. I don’t bother using the pillow any more and baby is fine without it.

This is an exceptional item, like all Lamaze toys, but you do pay the price for it. But when these items go on sale, they are often a very good bargain. I bought this when it was on sale, but unfortunately by them my nephew was about 7 months of age. So he didn't get much use out of it, or not as much as I had hoped. So I would say be mindful of the 0-6 months recommended age of this item, and try and get it as soon after birth as possible to get maximal benefit and use from it.Overall very pleased with the item.

Bought this for our three month old granddaughter and she seems to really like it. She can now be propped up on the cushion for "tummy time" and she is much happier than when she had her face down facing the floor. We move her a bit away from the arch so she can look up at the toys. She's just getting close to reaching the toys hanging off of the bar when she's on her back but it's been fine that should couldn't grab them from the start. The bright colors have given her something to look at and kept her amused.
