The battery that came with this one was dead on arrival and there was no manual at all, but I had some spare battery and there are manuals on the Internet - So that wasn't a major issue. I also for some weird reason thought that the focus ring was on the eyepiece (there is an eyepiece adjustment one there but not the main one!); but the front focus was just really stiff and once I'd budged it I could finally get things into focus.Once I'd got over these little misconceptions the thing is pretty great for an early generation machine. The IR illuminator is pretty useless for anything distant, and like most of these the vision favours the centre of the screen but it's really clear and not even that green,

I bought this as a gift for my father and have been fortunate enough to enjoy it as well. The image is good, the double focus is good, and the battery life seems fine. I don't see a lot of practical use for this monocular, however it is a lot of fun to play with. An entry level device, decent enough grip, with room to improve the illuminator. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

I researched "night vision" goggles/monoculars, read the reviews and chose this model based on what I read. I purchased this as a Christmas gift. I was very pleased with the quality but honestly, my husband hasn't had an opportunity to use them yet SO I don't know about the quality "first hand".

I bought these for my wife for Christmas.She would have preferred binoculars but they were much more expensive.She is very happy with this item.Easy to use and fun.
