Very solid feeling and not flimsy.Let down by lose hinges that allow the cutting wires to hit the egg-holder just by moving the cutter-top from side-to-side due to the "looseness" in the hinges.If the wires hit the holder during use then the wires would snap, stretch, or come lose and render it useless.It's a pity, as two quick squeezes with a pair of pliers removed the slack from both the hinges, and the cutting wires could only be made to hit the egg-holder with deliberate effort, rather than by trying to slice an egg.Ditto, the wire holders had clear gaps, so the wires could easily come lose, but a single strike with a small hammer closed the gap, and trapped the cutting wire securely.This could so easily be very good,

only used once so far so not really ask again after slicing ten more eggs that will probably approaching christmas
