The main reason I switched from plastic to natural feather is these things will also shed fibres while in use, especially when they get caught on rough surfaces etc. There is real danger of accidentally breathing the shed fibres in, therefore natural is always much safer than plastic.One complaint I have about this is it gets saturated with dust rather quickly and requires frequent shaking off outside. This is when the handle has a tendency to snap. Never shake the dust off too aggressively. I have broken at least 5 of these already over the past few years.

Wife loves it. I had to repair as centre rod thing broke, got metal rod on Amazon fitted perfectly with dab super glue now it can be used with confidence.
