Where do I begin? Like a book let's start from the beginning. No one knows where the gases came from, but apparently there was a big bang, that caused the gas to turn into matter, that turned into our solar system, that turned into loads of planets, that.... Hang on too far back.I work in care as a night shift worker, needed something to get rid of the daily grime, residents and staff scuff in with their shoes. You'll be surprised the same areas that get trodden on everyday. They call me the floor inspector, my job which I've excepted is to keep the floors shiny and clean, along with other cleaning and personal care duties. After weeks of struggling to get rid of hideous stainious God of all germs on all floor surfaces,I found myself drawn to this product, though looking back wish I did not bother, but my eyes were drawn to the red colour like a bull, without the anger and the snorting of nostrildamuses. In tweed, I mean intrigued at the reviews of the mop, saying when full up with water it falls of off the handle, the rinse bucket is a waste of time, it does not rinse.Usually when reading negative reviews on here, I buy the product to see if I get the same problem and I can honestly say, y-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s with hyphens in between and lots of emphasis on the Es's like the snake from Disney's Jungle Book. The mop itself is easy to put together, it's not rocket science. You get a plastic bit with a hole at the top this is to go on the handle end, the other end is for the mop head obviously, that needs your poodle haired mop to be peeled back to reveal it's white plastic sticky out prong thingy, things, to be inserted into the red plastic half triangle, half round, half oval, egg shaped, UMCOCAT (Unidentified Mop Head Cleaning Object Click In Attachment Thingy)In the reviews above me or pages back, wherever strange that word wherever pronounced where ver, as it actually needs another letter e in there. I digress again. Wherever this review gets placed, I whole heartedly agree with all the other reviewers, that despite the fact you end up with a ice rink of a floor, whatever you do, do not fill the bucket up to it's max. I use two lid fills of liquid, then a whole kettle of boiling water. You will find that Shaggy, the Poodle Haired Mop Head (SPHMH) for short, will soak up all the water in no time, good luck rinsing him out? As the mop head goes round and round whilst you're pumping your foot up and down on the pedal for the rinse wheel on the bucket, guess what? Yes you guessed correctly the answer to whether the mop head rinses is a rightful, pat yourself on the back and wait for it, wait for itL E M O N.I could of said forty two, but that is whole different percussion, concussion, discussion all together.I have a feeling that SPHMH Shaggy, the Poodle Haired Mop Head, is the wrong head for this bucket, like Worzel Gummidge need to change it's head to a newer, better one. Overall though it does get the floor clean, but takes ages to dry. Ended up going over the floor with a clean tea towel to soak up the water.Like with a lot of things these days, we the public are the guinea pigs to try these products out and my honest opinion, is this product is a reject product that gets sold on, to not be a total waste of manufacturers time and effort, to try to make some money back. You gotta admit though? The Red is very pleasing to the eye, don't you think?I still gave this five stars, because I bought two of 'em, that's so funny.

I must admit I was sceptical that the pedal-driven spin dryer mechanism built into this Vileda Turbo Bucket would work and get enough of the water out of the mop to make it usable on our floors, especially on the real wood floors where you must use as little water as possible - but it actually works. In truth to get the mop dry enough to wash wood-floors safely you do have to pump the pedal a few times and really get a good spin going, but it’s not hard to do and involves less effort than wringing it out would. The bucket is well-designed with a lateral handle that has a notch to clip to the mop handle and keep it upright (more for storage than during usage)and a neat recessed pouring lip which prevents you splashing dirty water everywhere as you empty it. It's a big bucket though and not the easiest thing to fill at a normal kitchen tap.The spin-dryer occupies nearly half of the bucket and on the open side the 'Max Level' indicator is surprisingly low, so you really don’t need to use a lot of water with this set. The mop itself has a triangular microfibre-rope mop-head which clips into a triangular bracket and I’m not totally convinced by the shape or design of the mop-head - you end up scraping the plastic bracket along the floor until you get the knack of it. The mop handle is in three telescopic sections which twist-lock very securely at your chosen length and telescope down short enough to be easily stored. However, if you’re over 6' tall you’ll probably have to adopt that familiar back-breaking stoop while you work - when will manufacturers realise we’re growing taller with each generation - sorry, bugbear of mine, rant over...At first I’d half-expected the spin dryer to spray a flying ring of dirty water around the room, leaving a nice tide-mark around the walls, but it doesn’t. You do have to take care that all of the strings of the mop are sitting inside the spinner before pushing the pedal but when it’s wet that’s not too hard, it is a neat fit however. There’s a hanging hook on the end of the mop handle that’s clicked in place but spins freely and that makes a good place to hold the mop while it’s spinning dry - you can get quite a spin speed with a couple of spirited pedal pushes. The bucket probably needs the weight of the water in it to keep it from slipping around the floor during your most enthusiastic spins, but it’s quite stable in use.The mop head is made from microfibre that doesn’t hang on to water too tightly, so the spin dryer can work quite efficiently and it also means you’re not simply spreading dirty water around the floor. The mop-head material doesn’t have a lot of friction to help shift sticky bits and I find myself standing on the mop and using the weight of my foot on the more stubborn marks, but that’s not unique to this mop. Generally I was impressed with how clean the floors were left and how little water was left on the surface, assuming you make proper use of the spin-dryer. I’m not sure how long that spin dryer mechanism might last and without it this is a fairly useless bucket (you can’t wring a mop in the normal way with it) but for as long as it lasts it’s doing a great job.

A replacement for another 'system' mop that finally broke after several years of use and a few replacement heads; the metal handle rusted where it connected to the head. The major functional difference is that the older one required the handle to be pumped against an internal spring within it that spun the head while this uses a foot pedal on the bucket to achieve a similar result. The result in both cases is that the fibres are then touch-dry.The bucket is also longer and shallower than the last and has a longitudinal handle whereas all previously models used a transverse one; functionally, it makes little difference. There is a notch within the bucket handle that engages with the mop handle to keep it upright for storage or when carrying around the home. The "Vileda Turbo Microfibre Mop and Bucket Set with Extra 2-in-1 Refill" employs a microfibre 'string' mop head with two groups of fibres, the white to absorb moisture and the red to collect dust, grit etc. The strings within the head are only about half the length of those for its predecessor but there are more of them. A similar arrangement is used in a second mop currently used solely within the kitchen. The head attachment in this is triangular so as to effectively run along edges of cupboards and fitments and into corners to absorb the water and dirt that can collect in them which other mop head designs sometimes miss. The all-plastic handle is supplied fully collapsed, is telescopic and therefore can be set to a length to suit; it won't ever rust as did its immediate predecessor.'String' mops are preferred to those with cellulose strips for use on our textured wet-room floor; the woven cellulose wears rather quickly on the sharp edges in the moulded surface whereas this type seems to last rather longer. Each string head on the older mop lasted more than a year of up to twice-daily use whereas the woven ones at best last only 3-4 months under the same usage pattern. As with all 'system' mops, especially those by Vileda, it is advisable to stock at least a couple of spare heads as, with all things, new designs replace the old in relatively short cycles and although a mop may still be otherwise serviceable there will be a time when replacement heads cease to be available. The mop was easily assembled from its four components and instructions are really not needed. The head couples to its female holder and can be removed either for washing (in a washing machine or by hand) or replacement when it eventually wears out by holding some of the strings under-foot and levering the handle to the side. This system is fairly expensive but not the most expensive from the brand.

I like a gadget as much as anyone but this new Turbo Microfibre mop must be just a gimmick, surely? Despite my initial doubts I have to say that it actually isn’t, and if like me you hate wringing out your mop then this might be something to tempt you too. The main feature of the bucket is the turbo drier which aims to make wringing out the mop much easier. You simply place your mop in the spinner and then hold the free-turning knob at the top of its handle. When you then press the foot pedal which is built into the bucket the mesh-type spinner turns the mop around very quickly to expel water from the mop head itself. That leaves it moist enough to clean the floor effectively rather than properly dry,so it’s still possible to wring out more water by hand even after spinning. There’s no mess from the spinning action which is obviously important – the bucket is designed well enough to keep all of the water inside. The pedal and gears which drive the spin action do appear to be fairly tough but are made from plastic; on one hand that might be an issue with strength but at least they won’t rust. Anyway, I have given the pedal action a very thorough testing and have failed to break it so far which is a good sign. The bucket is too big to fit in my standard sink although it is still possible to fill in there without too much of a problem – I just have to balance it carefully. However, it does have a very handy window on one end which allows easy emptying, and the carrying handle is pretty strong. I like the telescopic feature of the mop handle which means that it can be adjusted to the exact height that I want, and also that it can be collapsed to take up less space for storage. The mop head is articulated which means that it is easy to use over large areas as well as for getting under furniture. There was some very basic assembly from the box, but nothing difficult. Mind you, the only instructions on use are printed on the box flaps and I'd have preferred them to be clearer and feature written instructions not just pictures. We normally use other Vileda products for our cleaning but I’ve been impressed enough to carry on using this one. Apart from the points I’ve mentioned above I do like my new gadget, although perhaps not enough to tempt me to do any extra cleaning.

My wife is a clean freak, seriously I keep asking her find a hobby. To which her reply is 'I have 2 hobbies, cleaning & decorating!!' Anyway i got her this mop back in July, Amazon had it on special at the time & as I like to be stingey with money.....well come on its a mop & bucket, this could buy me an xbox or PS4 game ? However my wife has health problems & she wanted it so I got it. Well she loves it...took her a bit of faffing get the handle extended as the instructions or lack of should I say were useless. After lots of swearing however she cracked it lol. We live in a bungalow with laminate everywhere cus of our daughters wheelchair & pets & this mop is brill. Does exactly what it says on the box,it mops lol. The wringing out part, i.e the pedal is the best feature as it wrings out as much or as little as you want. You dont have to.push down & twist to wring it out & worry that your plastic bucket is about to break when wringing out your mop....simply push your foot on the pedal as many times as you want depending how wet or dry you want the mop. It reaches into corners, under furniture & its not marked a single bit of laminate. Gets all dirt off floors even on the flooringin the wet room which is a pain in the rear. After 6 months its still the same as the day she got it, its withstood everything...not even a broken handle. Now our mop bucket is not just for mopping floors, we have an Autistic grandson who is 5 & also fell in love with the mop bucket....just the bucket though. He puts his cars in there & presses the pedal to watch em go round....keeps him amused for ages & still the bucket has withstood this testing lol. Its that good my son got one for his partner as she loved it.....although my grandson does think its for him lol.So not just keeps my wife happy but my grandson too. Win win here, thank you Vileda. Also thank you Amazon for keeping my walket happy & having the sale when you did, though I would pay full price for this, but dont tell the missus, my rep will be ruined ????

The box arrived very quickly and in the box you should get 1 Bucket complete, 1 mop handle, 1 mop head, and 1 handle top. Mine unfortunately was missing the handle, a quick call to Amazon and a new package was swiftly despatched.Vileda are a really good name and totally trustworthy products, we have quite a few of their products in the home. The bucket is a really good size, we have a large house with big rooms and this makes cleaning a breeze. I couldnt wait to get using it, how sad :). The bucket has the wringer in one side of it and it ensures that your mop will be nice and dry therefore missing out on the dreaded streaks. Also there are no splashes from the spinner which is great.Mop handle is good and sturdy, and the handle is telescopic. However like most other people I did not realise that there was a "knack" to extending the handle. You just turn it at the grey part on the base, I had been mopping with the shorter handle and thinking this wont do my back much good! I read through the reviews and presto it was easy to extend.I really liked this mop for the edging around my skirting boards as it it angled it goes right the way in close to them compared to a normal mop. I noticed too that it took less time to dry the floors as the mop was really well wrung out.I used this on all the floors, we have marble floor in the halls (which shows every streak), tiled kitchen /utility room and larder floors and 5 bathrooms all marble. The drawing/reception room floors are both wooden and the sunroom has an antique wood floor. I had no hesitation washing all of the above with this mop and it done a brilliant job. There was no need to go over them with old towels as I had to do with the previous mop to ensure that I had no streaks each time.In my eyes this is well worth the money and I totally recommend it. For years I had been using an old fashion type mop with a metal bucket and found it left streaks as you could never quite get it wrung out enough but there are no such problems with this.

Like many men I approach the annual Cleaning of the Floors with a fair degree of trepidation. Dread, in fact. This year I decided I needed some help. The cost of a Woman Who Does was a bit high although lower than the Wife Who Won't (except, maybe, on your birthday).So...this Vileda bucket and mop was a cheap and practical alternative. The set-up consists of an elongated bucket with a foot-operated wringer at one end and the main water reservoir at the other. The mop has a telescopic handle and detachable (and washable) head. The bucket holds a decent amount of water, with a max fill line. It's very easy to empty having a handle at one end and a cut-out spout at the other.Off we go - a few litresof warm water in the bucket and a goodly dose of Flash Pine Floor Cleaner.Mop into bucket and then into the wringer. The foot-operated centrifuge gets as much (or as little) water out of the mop head as you require, with negligible effort. It's very easy to use - the mop head is triangular so as to get into corners, and the head is articulated for ease of getting under furniture. With a bit of elbow grease the kitchen floor was clean in no time. So that's the colour of my floor tiles...Also tried on the wooden laminate floor. Just as easy, although given the colour of the water afterwards I'm thinking that my floor stain must be water soluble. That's my defence, anyway.Stoopid the Kat was amazed at my endeavours and immediately leapt onto the floor leaving fur patches that needed to be re-mopped. Easy enough. She also started licking the floor which seemed very odd.Overall a very useful piece of kit - really well-designed and not just a "bucket and mop". My floors are now beautifully clean, and as an added bonus my cat now has pine fresh breath. Result!

This mop is great! A mop is something that I generally find it rather hard to get excited about and it seems that it's pretty hard to come up with anything new or different BUT I think that Vileda have actually succeeded in making their Easy Wring and Clean mop rather better than others that I've previously had on several fronts.First of all, the mop bucket is quite large but is long rather than wider which, for me, makes it easier to store. It may be worth noting that the mop bucket is so big, (roughly 44cm long by 27cm wide), that it doesn't fit into my small sink...however, the max water level is around halfway and I can fill it up to there on an angle in the sink so no problem.I like the fact that the mop head has a triangular rather than round centre piece, meaning that it can easily get into corners - always a bugbear with my previous mops. The wringer for the mop is something that I was really dubious about but I'm now a total convert. You simply pop the wet mop head into the wringing area and press down on the foot pedal a couple of times whilst lightly holding the mop handle and in a jiffy the mop is no longer dripping - brilliant! No more pressing and squeezing to sort out the mop head here! The last couple of things that I really like about this mop are that the mop head is lovely and quick to dry and is also washable at up to 60 degrees which is a great idea and should give longer use. The mop bucket, whilst undoubtedly large, is well balanced when filled with water and is very easy to empty as it has a pouring spout - another very simple but effective idea.Overall I think that this mop and bucket combo is a real improvement on the traditional mops of old and I'd happily recommend it.

I can't describe how much I love this mop.Which is a statement that horrifies me to my core, but I stand by my tragic opinion.First up; the mop is a sturdy, well made tool that combines traditional "strings" and scrubby strips, and easily cleans grease, food spills and general dirt from ceramic, laminate and lino effortlessly. As its triangular, getting into corners is a cinch, and the low profile makes cleaning under and around obstacles a dream. The staff is telescopic, with three sections that pull up, and twist to lock in place. The lock mechanism is secure enough that you can swish the mop about with abandon, without it collapsing on you mid use.The bucket is the star of the show though. It holds a generous amount of water, enough that I could clean three large floors before needing to change it. The fold down handle makes it easy to carry around without it getting in the way when rinsing out, and has a little clip for holding the mop securely during use (when moving it to another room or if you need to answer the door etc), and keeping it tidy between uses. There's even a clever lipped spout and base grip for easy emptying. The best bit though is the spinner - to wring the mop, you pop the head in the basket, loosely hold the staff, pump the peddle a couple of times and it literally flings excess water out - no puddling, no spray, it's wonderful! At the end, you can detach the mop head and stuff it in the washing machine to keep it in good nick for longer. There is NOTHING I would criticise about this set, and can only recommend the hell out of it!

Brilliant for all floor types. I have a combination of oak flooring, bluestone and limestone. This is a fantastic mop and bucket as the pedal power ensures that I can dictate how wet the mop remains. For my stone flooring it needs to be wetter to adequately clean and then a wipe over with the mop after a few extra pumps of the pedal ensures any moisture is easily removed. The reverse applies for my wooden floors that cannot have a mop that is too wet passed over them. I am sure many people will think that you can do the same with a conventional mop and bucket. No, it is not the same. Here is how it works...you fill the bucket as normal and wet the mop as normal, then place the mop head, whilst holding the spinning handle top, into the reservoir and pump the pedal with your foot which spins the mop head, discharging excess water from the mop head back into the bucket. The dryer you want the mop to be the more you pump the pedal with your foot. I put boiling water into my bucket and then extract enough water to make the mop head as dry as possible, the result is a steam clean for your delicate oak floors. The mop fibres are extremely absorbent and very easy to clean afterwards. I have three dogs so floor mopping takes place at least one a day and this has made it so much easier. The floors dry really quickly and the wooden floors come up buffed. Another really useful aspect of this mop and bucket is the handle just underneath the pedal which makes it easy to tip the dirty water out of the bucket. This is well worth the money.

A good design, only one or two litle niggles.THE GOOD BITS.This mop head is the only one I have found that cleans between the grouting in our slate and pamment flooring. (all others seem to glide over the top without getting into the grooves). The wring mechanism allows the mop to be made practically dry, therefore absorbs nearly all the water off the floor allowing it to finish drying quickly.Quick 14min 30 degree 1000 spin wash and the mop head looks like new.The mop can lay flat to the floor to get under furniture - perfect for getting under the sideboards, fridge, tables, sofas etc.The pouring spout/handle - works a treat - no mess which is great.THE NIGGLESThe mop handle is too short even when all three parts are fully extended - it is ok for my wife who is 5ft nothing and a simdge, but me at 6'1" after mopping the whole of downstairs in one hit - my shoulders and back ache from stooping. (So we now swap the handle with a longer one off a broom - or I stop for a cuppa between rooms!) and all is ok - but not everyone will have a longer handle available. My only other concern (and reason for 4 star rating) is about the bucket. Where the wringer is operated by foot - this puts pressure on the back edge of the base of the bucket - when turned over you can see the plastic wearing away either side of the pedal assembly already. I wonder how long this will take to wear through and make the bucket leak? I am considering gluing a strip of ply over the base of the bucket as a preventative measure.

In the box you get 1 Bucket complete, 1 mop handle, 1 mop head, and 1 handle top.The bucket is massive. Made of solid plastic! Its not light, and its not flimsy. This is the perfect bucket. Vileda need to make more of this bucket quality. The bucket has a max fill marker, and the handle to the bucket has a cut out notch for the mop handle to be held securely. The bucket is easy to fill, easy to empty as there is a slot where the max fill marker is.The turbo spinner holds the mop head snugly when the premium foot pedal is pumped up and down with the foot to spin. The spinner where the head sits has a basket that gives water splash protection. The mop handle is telescopic.Perfect if you are very tall and hate bending over. Also perfect for getting to the hard to reach places. If you have tiled walls in a bathroom/shower room then this is perfect! The head is triangled shape. Perfect for the corners. The handle folds down so it can easily reach under cabinets. Once dirty you take off the head and pop it in the washing machine on a setting up to a very hot 60 degrees. No need to use fabric conditioner. Just a cheap washing powder or tablet. Leave the good stuff for your clothing.Ive got marbled floors in my 2 downstairs toilets and upstairs bathroom. The rest of the house is tiles and solid oak flooring. It doesnt soak the flooring either. So no worries there. Is this worth the price tag being asking???? Too right it is. Would i buy one? Yes i would. With Vileda you cant go wrong.

I have to say i was hesitant to pay over £20 for a mop as i am a student who is living close to the budget! However, over the years I have gotten sick of buying multiple cheap mops and buckets that break within 6 months.Below are the main things that i love about this mop (I cannot believe I’m this excited over a mop, but maybe this is what Covid does to people xD)Quality - The plastic that the bucket is made from seems to be a really strong, durable material, you can just tell from the texture and weight that it will outlast my previous ones combined. The mop itself being made from metal was also a must for me I am sick and tired of cheap plastic mop handles!Price - Although more expensive than any mop I have bought before,I 100% recomend spending that little bit extra once and saving in the long run.Microfiber cloth - That's all that needs said.... FantasticEase of use - I am not a big clean freak but since i no longer need to waste time and a lot of effort wringing out the mop myself i have washed all the floors 4 times this week! (Maybe becoming an addiction :/ )Dry time - As the mop is wrung out using centrifugal force you no longer have to wait half an hour or an hour waiting for the floor to dry, just open a window and wait 10 minutes. All in all, I would highly recommend this to anybody but especially students…. Spilt drinks, filthy floors and no will power to get the mop out (you know who you are?). Spend the extra few pounds now and thank yourself later.

I have had such awful luck with mops and buckets so it was a pleasant surprise when I bought this one and it turned out to be everything I wanted in a mop. The bucket is very tough and the pedal spinner is a treat. It wrings out the mop head really well and a bit of fun while doing it brightens up a normally dull task. The opening at the end makes it easy to pour out the dirty water when you have finished. The mop head clicks on easily to the handle and I am pleased that you can replace the mop heads easily. A word of warning about filling the bucket, It gets very heavy once it is filled up to the recommended mark. I lifted the bucket up over the bath to fill it and then struggled a bit to put it back down on the floor. The bucket itself is quite heavy compared to any regular bucket I have used before. The handle is strong too and is lengthwise across the bucket which is also different.I would highly recommend this bucket and mop and it does seem much better than any I have used before but time will tell. I will update this review in a few weeks time but so far so good.Update 9.9.2019I have had this mop now since April last year. I use it most days and it is still like new. I have bought replacement heads but that is all. It is really a great investment. I bought another for my son and he really likes it too.

"It's a mop and a bucket", well that was my opinion being a man. I was surprised to see that this is actually a lot better than your standard mop and bucket, although not perfect.Pros -Easy to fill.Easy to ring out the mop after dunking in the bucket, the spinner is superb and very efficient.Doesn't leave your floors soaking after giving them a good clean.Sturdy foot pedal.Great Mop head for cleaning and collecting the dirt and grime.Cons -Handle could do with being longer, although I find this with all mop handles. Being just over 6ft this is too short to be comfortable. As its and adjustable length handle I fail to understand why they don't make it longer to account for slightly taller people. It is fine to work with for no longer than 20mins, which gets most areas done but any longer and you start to feel it in the lower back. The mop pole needs a clip within the bucket to hold it upright, the handle is not ideal and a balancing act ensues when you want to leave the handle connected to the small clip on the handle, not the most ideal design but not a deal breaker. All in all, this is a recommended purchase, and despite the small minor failings, I do actually enjoy using it and would recommend this over other cheaper, and more expensive mop and buckets.
