I thought I'd write a different style of review, answering the questions we had before buying.Mopping floors is really tiring and the hard bit has always been rinsing the mop and then squeezing out the water in the thing in the top of the bucket. This product gets very good reviews so we thought we'd try one.The bucket looks very large and long. Is it? It is marginally longer than the usual bucket but easier to use because of this.Is the bucket heavy? No, it is surprisingly light. How easy is it get into sink to fill it with water.? Better on a draining area under a rotating tap although no problem on large sinks. Is the easy wring mechanism removable for cleaning? No it is fixed to the bucket in a very robust fashionHow does the easy wring work? You press a pedal at the bottom of the bucket and steady the mop, in the upright position, with the mop head in the ''bowl' on the top of the bucket. The bowl revolves a great speed and the dirty water flies out. You have to let the handle rotate in your hand by forming an 'O' with your fingers and thumb. Easier than it sounds. How hard is it to press the pedal? Very easy. Only light pressure required. How many times do you have to press the pedal? Once or twice to return to mopping the floor. The mop handle is extensible. Is this robust, doesn't slip? YesIs the mop heavy and easy to use? It is not heavy. The handle is not flexible so easy to use.Can the mop be held by a clip on the top bucket for storage? There is no hole or clip for the mop to be secured. It has a large hole in the handle for hanging or if it has to be stored in the bucket it will need to be leant against a wall. The mop head is triangular. Does this help? Yes, enormously in the corners. The mop looks like a traditional cotton one but is microfibre. Does this make a difference? it reduces weight, makes it easier to use and allows the water to flow away in the wringer.Any other benefits with the mop? It cleans out the grout lines on a tiled floor, something no other mop we've had has ever achieved very easily. Is the mop head easy to replace? Yes, they are available on Amazon and easy to change as long as you put you foot on the microfibre, not the metal in mop head.Any other things relevant? Yes, we think it has halved the time to clean a floor and is much easier to use.Is it worth the money? Yes, its about the same as meal out for two. No comparison in the value for money.

Well there's some things I don't normally review. What can you say about a mop and bucket?Well I can honestly say this has changed my life! Yes seriously. This has changed mopping from being a chaw to a dream. All the floors in our house are tiled and need daily mopping to keep them clean.Prior to buying this I used a standard mop and bucket which took forever to mop and then forever to dry. I was completely fed up of trying to time cleaning the floor around the kid, dogs and visitors walking all over it. It took forever to dry. When our old mop broke I decided to give this one a go. Amazing!!The bucket is well constructed and looks build to last. Its fairly large and I noted that some reviews say they struggle to get it in their sinks. It's fine for me, it is big but you can easily fill it beyond the fill line when you angle it in to the tap. I wouldn't want to see this any smaller as it really seats well on the floor. My old bucket would occasionally tip over emptying water all over the floor. This sits well on the floor with very little chance of tipping over. The mop head places into the spinner and you then press on the pedal to spin dry the mop head. I've got to say this is the products best feature. One gentle press wrings out the mop enough so it doesn't drip but retains a fair amount of water to really get a good amount of water on the floor for cleaning. (For those real tough dried on dirt)Two gentle presses wrings the mop out nicely for general mopping.Several spins wrings the mop out to its almost dry. Ideal for going over for the final time. This leaves the floor almost completely dry. The floors are mopped and completely dry within a couple of minutes!!The mop head is large which means mopping the larges floor only takes a few minutes. It also has a hinge on the top of the mop head meaning you can get this mop under furniture and do a proper mop job without moving the world to do it.The microfibre head on the mop is ideal for mopping up spills. Simply wring the mop head out by a couple of spins and then it soaks up all the spill and holds it whilst you transfer it to the bucket. If you only have a small area to mop then I wouldn't say this is worth spending the money. It's pretty expensive for a mop and bucket. For me it was worth every penny. Just in time saved alone means this has paid for itself.

Worth every hard earned penny! At £29.99 this may seem ridiculously, nay extortionately expensive for what is essentially a mop and bucket. However, as a cleaner by occupation, I can assure you this has to be one of the best labour saving devices I've used in a long time. I've yet to find out just how long the mechanism on the bucket will last, (it's very sturdy and robustly made!) and whether it can stand up to the rigours of daily use, but as I've never regretted the purchase of ANY Vileda products I'm confident that this too will be with me for quite some time! I've currently been it's proud owner and user for a couple of months already and so far no problems to report! The level of effort required to operate the foot pedal is,quite fankly, hard to put into one word! So I'll use four! Effortlessly and satisfyingly easy!! Think, 'hot knife through butter' and you've got it! The action is so well constructed it doesn't feel fragile 'under foot' at all. The mop head is quickly spun to the level of moisture you desire - too wet? Step on the pedal again! (Yeah it's THAT easy!) And away you go! The mop head quickly makes short work of my floors - it's thick strands removing even difficult dried on spills. I'm done in next to no time at all and with minimum effort on my part!! Hell yeah to that sister!!I've never felt any emotion towards a mop and bucket set. I mean, that's hardly normal behaviour, is it?! But I think I'm actually in love with this one! I've found myself taking the time to lovingly rinse then dry the bucket with a cloth after each use. It's brought joy to a task that previously only provoked loathing, who wouldn't respect it thus?!Last thing - yes, the bucket IS larger than average but as it has a fairly shallow fill line it's easily placed at an angle into the sink without fear of spilling. Alternatively you can ease your old bucket more gently into retirement by using it to fill this magnificent new one! There's more than one way to skin a cat!!Go on, buy one! You won't regret it and you might even enjoy using it - I do!! ;-)

I would have given this five stars if the mop was as sturdy as the bucket ;)I'm a very happy owner of a lot of vileda products and any time i've brought another brand has been because i needed a quick replacement while waiting for my new vileda product to turn up!At 6ft 3 i've always liked the vileda designs as they're adjustable and save me a lot of bending over, making housework a lot easier and less backbreaking, the mop is good, but it's not as substantial as i'd like, it would be better if it was as well made as my vileda flat mop, but i'm afraid it's a lot more flimsy. The joint where it meets the mop head buckles under any vigorous pressure (i must explain, i have children and dogs,so scrubbing the floor has to be done) however, in a house where the floor only has to be tickled with a mop to end up sparkiling clean i guess it should be ok.The bucket, for me, does exactly as it says, three presses on the pedal and the mop is almost dry, i mopped my laminate and less than three minutes later the floor was dry, with my cheap mop i'd have to have doors and windows open and still hope it'd all be dry in ten minutes ...I'm also lucky enough to have a downstairs bathroom because the only downside of the bucket is that you'd struggle to get it in and out of a sink, i had to fill it up using the bath tap. This may present a problem for those less able bodied and/or without a large/downstairs sink. All in all, the bucket is great but on the large sideThe mop could do with being a bit less flimsyThe combination cleans well, dries quicklyBut if i had to buy it again i wouldn't be paying £30 for it, i'd say £15-20 at a push the way it stands and maybe slightly more if the mop handle design is improved.

I like to call this thing a poodle, since it kinda resembles poodle's hair, but joking aside, it is a very cool product and it does its job very well. The wringing mechanism is awesome. If you pedal enough you'll wring your mop, so the drying process will be swifter than with a hand-wring mop. It's way better than some of the mops I've used in the past - no half-hour waiting time for the floor to properly dry out and so easy to put away and store (bucket is a bit bigger than an ordinary mop bucket though)It did take me a while to expand the stick to its full potential. At first it only went out halfway, because there are two telescopes (and one of them wasn't exactly easy to spot and pull out).My first thought was to get rid of it, since it was only suitable for a child's height (my back complained). But luckily, after the second inspection, I was able to pull it out fully and use it without doubling over. After I'm done with cleaning, I throw the mop head in the washer and it comes out nice and clean to be used again.Great product, probably won't need another one, unless I break the bucket. Will buy replacement mops though.

After my JML spin bucket died, I started to check out a replacement as I definitely was not going back to the old way of mop wringing. The vileda mop and bucket had very good reviews and although more expensive than some others, looked very sturdy.Having now used it for some months, I can confirm that it is all I wanted and more.I have dogs and cats and hard wood floors and the combination can at times be a nightmare. Muddy paw prints from walks and garden, water sloshed about when drinking and the odd bout of sickness all demand a good mop and bucket and this vileda buy was just the job.To be truthful it leaves the JML standing, is very stable in use and does not shoot across the floor when using the foot peddle. The mop head comes out pleasingly dry and the other mops of this type easily fit the spinner. The handle is telescopic and I have had no problems with the handle losing its ability to stay where you want it.Yes, only one mop head comes with the purchase but spares are easily found. So having used it on a daily basis I can happily recommend this vileda mop and spinner bucket set.

FANTASTIC mop I swear. I can basically dry mop the floor if you need to do that quick and can't wait for the floor to dry over time or if your floor doesn't respond well to being watered. It also helps in storing the mop as you can wring it properly until it's almost dry.It gets to corners of the rooms neatly as they say.Good capacity of the bucket. The shape of the bucket is convenient for storageWe have it for over 6 months and couldn't be more satisfied, honestly. We wash the floor a couple of times a month (no kids in the house so don't have to do it more often than that) and the head doesn't smell or calls for replacement. We haven't had a chance to battle tough stains but can't imagine that it would change anything.I haven't tried to machine-wash the head yet so can't tell how it comes out.Haven't tried to remove the wringing mechanism from the bucket to wash the bucket properly but will attempt to do that soon but I can only predict it that it's properly fitted and won't be that easy to take off. Hope that it's not affixed to the bucket.

We recently has a litter of 11 Boxer puppies and as beautiful as they were, they were messy! The poundshop mop and bucket just were not up to the task. Got this for around £15 on a deal and delivered with Prime the next day and from that point it was in constant use. Only fault I could put to it is it doesn't get as dry as I would have liked it but if you are doing a larger area it doesn't matter that much as a quick run back over when the mop is dryer rectifies. Maybe if I had bought it for general use I would have given 4/5 due to the mop retaining a bit too much water however with the battering it took (and I mean it was being used from the moment they woke up at 0600 to when they decided to sleep at around 2200)over a couple of months and the head getting washed daily it performed great. Plus the little buggers thought the mop was a toy so would hang onto it at every opportunity and it insisting on getting dragged along. That says a lot for the build quality.

Comes very well packaged and extremely easy to assemble the mop. The bucket itself looks very stylish (if a bucket can be stylish) with its matte black and red colour and it feels very durable. It has a large capacity therefore the bucket is fairly big but it doesn't look or feel clunky at all.The spinning pedal seems very strong which is vital as I've broken many cheaper spinning mop buckets from the pedal cracking or malfunctioning making it unable to spin, the pedal on this bucket seems very strong and smooth drying the mop perfectly. Some have concerns on getting burns from the handle of the mop whilst it spins but as the surface of the mop handle is very comfortable and smooth, this shouldn't be a problem when resting it on your skin.Overall I'm extremely pleased with how this performs. It is very easy to use because of the efficiency of drying and its quality is faultless, Vileda always make products of exceptional quality and this is no exception.

We have flooring all around the house, and I am a stickler for keeping it clean. After having checked out reviews on other mops, I went ahead and purchased this one. Is it expensive for a mop? Yes. But I feel you're paying for the bucket....any mop could go in it. The bucket is large but it is quite slim..well, rectangular I guess. It does what every other mop and bucket would do, however, the mop is sturdy and adjustable. Also triangular so easily gets into corners. As you wash the mop out, 2-3 pumps in the ringer and you're good to go again....it's effortless. And that, I feel is the USP with this mop and bucket set. It makes easy work out of a boring chore and it also makes you feel "gadgety" and slightly smug! Can't put a price on those things! It will probably be the last one I'll ever buy as it is good quality. Like Triggers broom, I may change the handle or the head, but it will always be the same mop!

I chose this mop based on it's reviews, having gone through many different types of mop and been disappointed with them all. I then realised that my brush and dustpan, which I have found to be very good, were the same brand, so my expectations were high.I have to say that my expectations have been met and exceeded. The mop head is great for getting into corners and actually getting stuff off the floor. The spinner gets the right amount of water out, with just one spin, and when putting it all away I spin it a couple of times to try to dry the mop as much as possible. The whole thing works really well, and my floors dry much quicker than with previous mops. The one thing you need to bear in mind is to place the bucket so that the opposite end to the pedal is against something (e.g.a wall, cupboard, whatever) so that when you push down on the peddle it does not move.Overall I highly recommend it :)

I must admit I was dubious about the effectiveness of this mop before I used it and felt it was rather expensive. However after using it is must conclude that it is definitely worth the money.I have 3 rooms tiled in high gloss white porcelain tiles and every mop I have used prior to this has either left streaks on the floor or left too much water making drying it lengthy and difficult. I had thought prior to buying this mop and bucket set that i was going to have to get used to washing and drying the floor the old fashioned way on my hands and knees. How pleased I was when the mop and bucket arrived and i mopped the floor leaving barely any water requiring just a light wipe with a dry mop toprevent streaks.Just wanted to say that the handle of the mop is in three parts that extend and lock into position creating a standard length mop handle then easily collapse again so it can be stored.

It is very good! Water rinses out well, no drips. Mop was still wet and moist (just like u would expect of a mop though! I mean it has been dipped in water). It was not "dry" as some claim, unless they meant it wasn't dripping wet. Don't have to use excess body energy to wring out the mop, the foot pedal does it for you, easily. Foot pedal is strong, wont break and good bucket too.Downside:I am yet to learn or practice how to take the mop off to put it in the wash. So tried using my hands, yuk. Will practice with feet next time though!Definitely better than your traditional mop and bucket. Plus you can wash the mop head which means more hygienic cleaning! Wahay!Ps.I only gave it 4 star because I didn't take the mop off with my feet, but that was more me than a flaw of the mop really.Oh yes I have recommended to my sister in law to purchase! So there - defo worth buying and trying!

Bought for my son because I have a Vileda mop as well, it rung the water out so much it looked like the mop hadn't any water on it. the floor took so little time to dry, in fact as fast as i was mopping it was drying. I only found out that vileda mop handle was adjustable on my own mop after about a year ! .... The foot mechanism on the vileda is better than the one on the JML but be careful with the handle it can sometimes come off the side of the bucket so when I am filling it up with water I pick it up by the bucket instead of the handle ! once you place it on the floor it is ok to pick it up by the handle, I don't think the handles can cope with the initial weight of water but don't be put off by that,it is a fantastic mop and an essential if you have a wooden or lino floor ....you can buy cheaper versions on the market but go with the brand names and you won't go far wrong....

I have had a number of these spin mop contraptions from Vileda. When they are working they do the job very well indeed. Mop heads are easly change and I also use mine for cleaning walls and ceilings (make sure you use a clean mop head though)One major problem I have found is the bucket spin mechanism, it doesn't last very long before the plastic gearing wears out making the whole cleaning system useless, the mop will only work with the Vileda bucket. You can expect around 3-6 months use before the bucket fails which some may consider rather poor given the highish purchase price. I am on my fifth bucket but still using my second mop. There is a similar system from an Italian maker that is longer lived and just as good where the spin mechanism is contained in the handle (mine is still going after 18 months) but sadly not available online.
