The OXO Good Grips Extendable Tub and Tile Scrubber is simply superb, and I'm not the type of person who gets excited about cleaning products. As usual the package arrived on time and in good condition and I opened it up just to have a quick look. I'd noticed a few reviews saying it may not be extendable enough but I'm 6ft 2in tall and if I wanted to I could easily scrub the floor with this extended and without bending down. But that's not why I bought it, I bought it to help clean the world's worst designed shower cubicle. The shower in the flat that I rent is so badly designed that you have to be IN it to clean it, you can't do it from the outside. It's all curved glass which looks lovely but is an absolute nightmare to clean, and once you ARE in it you can't clean anything below your knee level if you're as tall as I am as you can't bend down enough to do so because of the confined space. As I had the scrubber out of the packaging I thought I'd give it a quick go to see how much easier it would be - and in 15 minutes I'd cleaned the whole shower! Brilliant! It is so much easier using this, my shower is floor to ceiling tiles and it was an absolute breeze - the glass, tiles and chrome are now all gleaming and I was only intending on trying it out on a couple of hard to reach tiles to see how it would do. If you're thinking of buying one of these because it MAY be useful then stop thinking about it and just buy it, you honestly will not regret it and you'll wonder how you got by without it for so long.

I am not often compelled to write a review on Amazon. Bought this for cleaning the walls after a grubby tenancy. The pad looked worse for wear after, I did not. A real energy saver.First impressions, the pad was smaller than I thought. In fact the whole thing looked tiny, until I realised it was extendable. The actual pad is harder than I thought, similar to green pan scourers, but thicker and possibly not as scratchy. I was pleasantly surprised by this as I thought it was quite durable. Top marks for durability, it was well and truly tested on the walls and removing loosened grime on the floor. It does look a bit worse for wear but having cleaned it I am going to keep it for floors. The handle could be a little longer but it would probably lose sturdiness.I see what others mean about the looseness of the angling head but I didn't find this an issue. It is not designed for extreme pressure. It definitely would not make much dent on textured concrete floor (I tried). For that you need a wire broom. For wiping down walls and a general floor scrub (pre-mopping)- great job. I am getting another head so I can use it for general cleaning of bathroom tiles as it is such a back saver.Yes the pad could be bigger but you would lose the pressure. For a small bathroom, no problem. The only other thing is it gets very wet, so for walls you have to squeeze excess water off (rubber gloves a must). You could also press it in a flat bucket or onto something absorbent, if too much water was a concern.

This dustpan and brush is EXCELLENT. I have tried many different brands of dustpan and brushes over the years and this one is the best I have found by far!The flexible rubber strip on the dustpan stops all dust going under the pan making it quick and easy to use. Over time this strip does harden and then it will need replacing. I had my last one quite a few years before this gradually happened and I would have to start going over areas a couple of times (like you do with other dustpans and brushes from new) I store my dustpan on the rubber strip so this possible shorten its life too. Having children I use mine several times a day. Our flooring is quite uneven in places and this does not make any difference to quality and ease of use.The brush pushes into a slot on the dustpan and this keeps them together. This also keep the brush looking like new several years later. It might cost slightly more than non branded versions but for home use it is well worth the extra cost. I have never had one of these snap on the handles and have only had to replace as the rubber strip hardened and I would have to go over what I am trying to clear up more than once. My old one was several years old and the brush was in perfect condition... no loss of bristles.I would highly recommend if you want to make cleaning up quicker and easier.

I thought I'd write a different style of review answering the questions we asked ourselves before buying. We have had numerous sweep sets. They have all been very poor in doing the job and longevity. So after research, we choose the OXO set.Is it robust, well made? YesIt looks heavy. Is it? No. It is surprisingly light and easy to use.Does the dirt go under the pan instead of in it? No. The flexible edge on our's moulds to the floor.Does the comb thing help? Yes. It is easy to get rid of those bits of fluff trapped on the brush without using your handsDoes the pan lock into the horizontal (use) position? YesDoes it stay in the use position while emptying the pan?YesIs it easy to return the pan to the vertical (hanging storage) position YesIs it easy to store hanging from a hook? Yes, a large hole in the handle facilitates this.Does it stand up on it's own without falling over? YesIs the pan a sensible size, too big or small? It is ideal for collecting small debris. (On carpets too) If I want to sweep the kitchen then I use a household broom first, then use the OXO to sweep the dirt into the pan. Easy.It is expensive. Is it worth the extra cost? YesWould you buy another? I all ready have, for the garage.

Just had this delivered and given it its first outing. I have fibro so I bought this to help with mobility issues. I’m also tall, and deliberated over whether or not to opt for the extendable version and pay the extra. I wish I had.As a cleaning product it’s exceptional. I have cats and floor brushes often clog with hair, but the built-in brush cleaner deals with that issue very well, and anything on the brush drops straight into the pan. The pan is easily emptied and the set sits nicely together for storage. It’s probably not that heavy feeling if you don’t have Fibro, but I certainly felt the effort involved in using it. As I said, I’m tall (6ft) and I do have to bend just to use it,which hurts a bit, particularly around the wrists and elbows, but I’m not going to downgrade it’s rating for that, just mention it for those who might be looking for this sort of product for similar reasons. If and when this one falls to bits (which by the looks of it might be long after I do, it’s very well made) I’d want to replace it with the extendable version personally, but I cannot argue with the quality or its ability to do the job it’s intended for.

I bought this for my wife since she wanted a long handled dust pan and brush set for sweeping up the moss off the roof that lands on the patio. The brush is a bit soft for this ( to be fair, it is designed for indoors, not outdoors ). Using it indoors seems to do the job well, and has a soft lip to ensure that the dust does not easily go under the pan. The handles are too short for me ( I am about 6 foot ), but are ok for my 5ft 2inch wife. (so luckily I won't be able to use it!). The slight angling of the brush head is a nice touch, since it does enable the brush head to be parallel to the ground without twisting your hands. I bought it when there was a massive reduction on the Amazon site, but think I would have struggled to pay £20 for it, when there are others on the market at substantially less. What would be even nicer would be to be able to buy alternative brush heads with stiffer brushes for outdoor use ( and indoor use on carpets ). Or maybe even supply a set with both brush-heads, since I am sure the majority of people would have a use for both. With two brush heads, the £20 would be a reasonable price.

This is a very well made and sturdy sweep set. I initially thought it was expensive compared to other options for this type of product but having used other oxo good grips products, I did not think I would be disappointed. The sweep set is a good height and feels very solid. It does exactly as you would expect it to and is easy to store away. The quality is very good as you usually get with OXO products so I don't regret having gone for the more expensive option. My only criticism would be targeted at the delivery of this item. I gave 5 stars to the product as I cannot criticise the product for this, but Amazon Logistics threw this item over a high fence. The item was only packaged in plastic (not is a box or with protective wrap)so not happy with Amazon for the packaging (or lack of) and certainly not impressed with Amazon Logistics for their lazy method of delivery. Saying that though, the product was not damaged or broken, which adds to my comments above with regards to the quality and how well made this item is.

I have owned a few dust pan and brushes in my life. I suppose like most woman have. This I bought because my old one was cracked, kept asking my husband to pick a new one up, but he kept forgetting. I can’t get out now due to palliative lung cancer. Because my husband kept forgetting I ended up looking on Amazon. I am glad I did. Yes there are cheaper ones. However looking at the cheaper one and this one there was no comparison. You could definitely see the quality in this compared to others. I love it. When having swept up and then get your dust pan and brush at a ready when you sweep the rubbish onto the dustpan it leaves a small line of dust behind so yoh sweep that up and brush onto dustpan again it leaves a tiny line of dust.Well not with this one. It doesn’t leave any traces of dust behind when swept onto dustpan. This has got to be by far the best dustpan and brush I have ever owns. Yet worth every single penny. Plus I can not see any dust left behind. Far superior quality

I have developed a bad back and wanted a duster that was light and efficient. I am very pleased with this duster. It is light and bends to reach the nooks and crannies. I have even dusted places that when I was more able did not bother with. For example between the wall and the furniture in cases where the piece of furniture does not fit flush to the wall. It is also more efficient in dusting wooden shutters (mine are from Hilaries - not sure of the exact shutter size gaps but approx 1.5inches). The duster just fits nicely between the lats and manages to dust both the bottom and top ledges. Better job than a product I have bought especially for this purpose! The duster does shed a few bits /strands when new but this is only minimal. The aluminium handle extension is easy to tighten and loosen again. I am very pleased with this product. I wish I had bought a replacement duster head at the same time so I could have a clean spare whilst the dirty one was being laundered.

I inadvertently left my original OXO dustpan and brush behind when we moved house seven months ago, and knowing that the OXO was rather expensive (I'd paid twenty pounds for my first one) bought a cheaper £15 version by a different manufacturer, a grey one which had no 'comb', and which never really sat properly flush on the floor. This was a completely false economy and frustrating to be constantly sweeping everything UNDER the lip of the dustpan. Not so my new OXO - the teeth are perfect for combing off cat and human hairs that get stuck on the brush and, although I can't say 'never', the rubber lip of the pan rarely fails to sit tight on the floor, so almost invariably everything goes in first time. The brush is soft at the tips of the bristles, but there's enough clout to easily get the carpets and hard floors clean enough to avoid hauling out the hoover every day. I know, it's true...lazy people do take the most pains.

My previous set was bought from a pound shop for £3.99 and lasted a few weeks before it started to crumble in all the wrong places! False economy. This one however is quite a substantial set, made from moulded plastic with a useful "fringe" where you can pull the brush head through to dislodge bits of fluff or whatever else inhabits you particular abode! Quite expensive at £20+ but worth it if you live with 3 outdoors men who (despite their best efforts) bring in detritus on their boots every time they come in the back door. My only niggle is that the handle of the brush is a bit difficult to hold comfortably. I do have a touch of arthritis in my thumb joint and this doesn't help. However it is definitely a bit of a design issue with all these long handled jobs as I've spoken to other people who have the same problem. Anyway this one works fine, and will probably last quite well so was worth the money.

It’s easy to use, very sturdy and collects a lot of dust. I’ve been using it to get to hard to reach places like under shelves, under the fridge and behind the radiators. It does have a few flaws though. On one side the red fluff is a bit longer which means if you’re using it in a tight space under things that bit often gets caught and results in a cleaning tug of war with your furniture. It does lose quite a lot of its red fluff when you first use it. I’d recommend vacuuming this before you use it, thirdly while the end is removable and washable mine immediately got so matted with dust that even washing it hasn’t made all the dust come out. It basically looks quite disgusting and there’s nothing I can do to de clog it.I tried vacuuming it and washing it to no avail.Overall it’s good, it has an easy to hold handle and it does trap dust. Sadly it’s not perfect though.

I bought this tool because I have arthritis. I find cleaning shower difficult because I can not get up and down from cleaning the shower tray. I would recommend people buy this gadget before they get arthritis, it just may limit the wear and tear on you knees and back. I can get around the bathroom in the time it took to do the tiles and shower tray. I was worried that I might not get a good clean but using this and a sonic scrubbing brush, I do better because I can reach up and polish down. It is one of my best buys. I am now looking out for the duster type. The tiny issue is that rinsing is not easy with this tool because it gets soapy and squeezing is not possible.Having said that if you are fit and able use a duster to finish. If you are not just compromise, because if you are like me, you couldn't do better before because of pain.

Can’t even say how pleased I am with this product never had something like this before but it’s made cleaning the bath so much easier especially the bottom of the bath. It’s harder to get in those rounded corners owing to the shape of the head but it’s no problem for me as I still go over with a Sponge after anyway where I want to, this just somehow feels like a deeper clean. Being able to clean the tiles in the bathroom as well was brilliant and so I have since bought replacement heads, the material of the head is particularly good at scrubbing if you need it and I didn’t realise how much it absorbed until squeezing flash bathroom out of it.Very impressed would highly recommend can only imagine how much easier it makes cleaning for people with back problems or older people as well as I felt the benefit and I am in my 20s.

We have just had porcelain wall tiles fitted around our bath and shower. We live in a very hard water area and I was gutted to see how bad the tiles were so quickly. We have high ceilings, and also condensation marks really show up on the tiles. I wasn't expecting much of this device, but it is GREAT. So easy to use, very light and feels sturdy. Moves around the nooks and crannies attached to the wall really easily. I stuck a microfibre cloth under it to dry the walls and shower screen and it stayed on which is great. I hope they do softer attachments for floors to help with dust and hair etc, I need to have a look. Will store very easily too as it is telescopic and light.I feel very middleaged raving about a flaming scrubbing brush but it has stopped me regretting the tiles and so it's 5 stars from me!
