If you like to give your food a good beating before you cook it this is the tool for you. Especially suited for forming escalopes of veal, pork and with the pimply side, quick fry quality steak. It really is up to the individual what they want to hammer, I sometimes use it for separating the garlic cloves by hitting the pod at the top. Cover the garlic with a tea towel before bashing it otherwise you will be chasing the cloves all round the kitchen like I did but only once.Avoid eggs at all cost not like my grandson who was helping make breadcrumb coating.Do not put it in your dishwasher EVER! it will go black and the black comes off on your hands unless you wash it and dry it conventionallyand even then wipe it two or three times with kitchen towel.

The purchased aluminium meat hammer is very practical. The tenderiser hammer is made of aluminum which is elegantly polished, without any sharp edges. It is smaller than other traditional ones, but it does the job perfectly (the handle is short but well balanced). You can make excellent roulades of various meats with fillings as a starters or snacks or excellent dinner dishes such as roulades, cutlets, schnitzels. All you need to do is take a piece of meat, place it between the cling film and pat it to any size and thickness.

When I first received this I scoffed at it. I thought it looked a bit rubbish and it didn't feel like it had any weight to it. Nonetheless, I was planning to make chicken burgers from giant breasts that day and wanted to flatten them out so I gave it a go. I pounded that poor chicken within an inch of it's life with very little effort at all. It's actually a really good little tool and I would definitely recommend it.

Good solid tenderizer, This item makes short work of chicken beast I simply tap the meat gently until I have the required thicknesswrap it around a little Paxo stuffing and bung it in the oven, Delish..I also tenderize chicken breast dip it in egg then breadcrumbs and shallow fry until golden brown.Tenderizing allows the meat to be cooked evenly because it's the same thickness all the way through.

This meat tenderiser allows me to bash meat. It is so much fun. I have now started cruising around and at the sight of any butchers, run in and just start tenderising away. I make no distinction between chicken and beef - all face the hammer of justice evenly. I love to tenderise my meat...nope, that was you that put that thought into your head, not me. Naughty!

My old wooden mallet fell to pieces so I went for the metal version. Not sure at the moment that it is as efficient, because my veal escallops were really pulverised, but maybe it's just that it is less worn than the old one and I need to reassess the about of pressure when using it. Pretty sure that it won't fall to pieces. It is sturdy but not heavy.

1st class piece of kit in one piece which is better than have the head fall off...lol it is heavy and sturdy.i have already used it a number of times and it does the job nicely, it comes with a spiked head one side for red meat and a flat head the other side for poultry.

A must have kitchen item for all meat eaters to help tenderise and flatten meat cuts before cooking, this is particulalrly useful when preparing meat for the bbq allowing equal cooking on the griddle. It has a ribbed and a flat side and is easily hung in the kitchen.

Very pleased with the quality and the weight of the product - it makes tenderising and flattening pieces of meat a doddle. My only disappointment is that it is not recommended for dishwasher use, which is a shame, and has lost it a star in my rating.

Service from Amazon good, However, Item no bigger than a Toffee Mallet, In fact, I think a Toffee Mallett is bigger. I would advise checking dimensions if this item is for you, i didnt hence ending up with a kids hammer.

It was brilliant until it went in the dishwasher and took the coating off and became useless.....whoops, probably should have read the care instructions. Using on raw meat I presumed it would be a better wash.

well. I bought a meat tenderiser...to tenderise meat. Its hefty without being too heavy, the pointy bits are not too pointy.there arent too many fine ridgy bits that food can get stuck in.It works fine.

I want to tip-toe around talking about beating meat as it feels a little wrong on a product review but quite simply I can't help myself. I could literally beat my meat all night long with this bad-boy.

My other half has been looking for a metal tenderiser for a long time as only wooden ones seemed to be available in most places. This is a much more sanitary option than wood and cleans up nicely.

There's not much to say about meat tenderiser, it does the job nicely and much, much better than wooden one I had before. No fuss with cleaning as well (compared to wood). I like it very much.
