I just love this kettle it is the best kettle I have every had, the cream enamel had no dents or scratches as it was packaged carefully, the colour is a slightly darker cream than it looks on web its like rich clotted cream.... fabulous, the handle, spout spot button and lid handle stay cool to touch when kettle has boiled so I was very impressed with that feature, the whistle is nice and loud and the handle is easy to pour with and the kettle itself is a nice weight not too heavy even when full, it has a max fill level marker on the front outside of the kettle which gives it even more of a retro look to it .Point to mention is that when pouring the last of the boiled water out from the spoutthe shape of the kettle handle makes it a little awkward to get the last dregs out but I think this is a similar scenario for most kettles. The reason I bought this on the stove kettle was because I am fed up of replacing electric kettles a a few months out of the 1 year guarantee, every kettle I have owned bar 1 was a cheap under £20 number as I had tried a dear one which broke just out of the guarantee period so I thought I would not waste any more money buying a dearer one again just buy cheap ones with the expectation that I would only be looking at about 12 months usage from it, so when my last kettle died and I was looking for a new one I came across this one and I am so delighted with it and wish I had thought to buy one years ago I am a very very very happy owner of this wonderful fabulous kettle I just LOVE it.

We have been using this kettle now for a year. It gets almost daily use on a gas hob. We have the cream one. So far, I cannot fault it. It still looks good (only the maximum line sticker has fallen off) and it still does what it's supposed to do - boil water and sing when it's ready.I have noticed that lately the spout 'lid' isn't as tight as it used to be and so the 'singing' isn't quite as loud. Also, as someone else has mentioned, it can be a bit awkward to get the water into it and pour water out because of the handle design. However, none of these issues have made me love my singing kettle any less.Other members of my family have bought far more expensive kettles and they have tended to rust or look a bit tatty. For the price I am extremely pleased with it.It might be worth mentioning that I paid £12 for it :) but I would still be happy if I had paid the usual £24-ish price.

I love this kettle! I can't give any marks for endurance as it only arrived today .. however ...It looks great, and has a sturdy feel to it. It's also quite nice to pour from - I was a little worried about the shape as I'd had an electric one previously with a very wide bottom and it proved very tricky to get the last of the water out. This doesn't appear to be a problem. The whistle is nice and loud, can certainly hear it from the next room with the TV on. I have a bad habit of putting the kettle on and then forgetting about it, but this will break that habit! I have quite a small kitchen, and decided that in order to gain a bit more work surface, it was worth giving a gas kettle a try instead of my electric one.Not disappointed. The only slight drawback is that it is slower to boil than the electric ones I've had. However, a slower pace does none of us any harm!

I received an enormous electricity bill, so decided to change fuels, hence the purchase of a gas kettle. After reading all the other helpful reviews, I opted for the Kitchen Craft Le'Xpress, the price was right and the colour perfectly matched my kitchen. I wasn't disappointed, it is like going back in time, no rushing to make tea after a few seconds with electric kettles. Life is much more relaxed with this method of heating water. The other plus is that the kettle is on hand on the gas hob for topping up steaming veg etc. Also the whistle reminds me if I am not in the kitchen when it boils, and the kitchen is warmer too. The only small downside is that the angle of the handle is a bit awkward when pouring out to the bottom of the kettle.I don't find that the handle gets hot like a previous reviewer. I love my new kettle!

I've got fed up with paying for electric kettles that don't seem to last so some time ago I bought a whistling kettle and was very pleased with it. Unfortunately I left it behind when I moved so I've bought this Kitchen Craft kettle. I've only had it three or four weeks but it seems to be doing the job really well and boiling faster than the electric kettle provided by my landlady. It weighs enough to make me feel it's quite sturdy but not so much that it's a problem when filled. The handle has a rubberised feel to it and although it gets warm it's not too hot to handle. I do leave lifting the lid on the spout for about 30 secs after it's boiled so that the water doesn't come out in too much of a rush and start spitting, but that's a feature of hob kettles. I liked the cream colour as well, and the shape.

My fiancé and I bought this kettle as we were about to buy our third electric kettle in two years (not cheap ones either!) and were after something a bit more hard wearing. My aunty had recently bought one similar after having problems with electric kettles as well and this one seemed perfect when we found it. We really love it! The whistle is really loud and because the water is properly boiled in its own time, drinks seem much smoother and you can get a real frothy coffee! The pouring spout doesn't spill. It takes a little bit longer to wait for the water to boil compared to a kettle but if you're after a speedy drink then you presumably wouldn't be searching for this type of kettle anyway!Great product, would absolutely recommend.

I wanted a traditional looking kettle to use on my range cooker, was not sure how I would get on using a stove top kettle after using an electric kettle for so long so did not want to spend a lot of money. This kettle has just the look I was looking for (actually looks better than it does in the picture). I have not found any faults with this kettle at all. I really love this kettle and the sound of the whistle when the kettle boils instantly takes me back to years ago sitting in my nanna's kitchen. I would defiantly recommend this kettle to anyone who like me loves the vintage look, no need to spend more, you get everything you want in this kettle.

Lovely kettle, which really whistles. This is the 2nd one we've bought, only because we needed another one and the first one met all our expectations. First one was red, this one is cream, both are lovely colours, each was the cheapest at the time if I'm totally honest! It's the whistle that was important to us though, as we need to be able to hear it from outside the caravan at our field; and the capacity is bigger than most others - we needed 2 to cater for a party, and we managed to do just that. Totally recommend this kettle to anyone who needs large volume, robust kettle with a proper good whistle!

The colour matches my kitchen and sits on cooker being admired by visitors. Whistle sounds good and loud even when in different room I can hear it. The handle is very comfortable to hold when boiled and easy to pour out when hot. The rubber bobble on whistle makes it easy to open the end and is not hot to touch. Flips back easily when finished without problems. Yes I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice looking product and the enamel makes it easy to wipeclean. The lid was a little stiff for a few times but getting easier with use. A great product for the price.

I don't believe in rushing a review, so have left in almost 2 years before posting! This solid kettle is still going strong, paintwork fine, whistle clear and audible, shiny bits still shiny. It's not used every day, but there's not much to go wrong, and it hasn't. I can see some people's point about the handle insulation being a bit short, but for someone with no wrist or hand articulation problems, it's not a problem to tip the kettle over a long way to pour out without contacting hot metal. It pouts well with no drips or spurts.

I purchased this on the back of all the positive reviews and can confirm it is a Fabulous kettle, good retro look, nice finish, good quality, easy to clean and use. You can leave the whistle up if you don’t want the noise and It’s perfect for an Aga.It boils quickly and haven’t had to use a mitt to handle it. And an excellent price. I have wasted too much time reviewing more expensive, big named items which have all had a unacceptable flaw.. I cannot rate this one highly enough.

I was really surprised at the very high quality of this kettle. It is made out of ONE piece of alloy with no nasty tin bottom to rust. The handle is really sturdy, with a very good black grip that fits the hand really well. The lid is an excellent fit too.The whole kettle is properly stove enamelled which is something only usually seen in much more expensive kettles. The whistle is really good and loud.Because of the quality it boils fairly quickly.

i decided to puchase a gas hob kettle as my Britta filter kettle had given up the ghost after many years.I was a bit hesitant as being in a hard water area, the water taste is not that good. However, I already have a water filter so what good be easier than to fill the Kitchen Craft Le'Xpress kettle with the filtered water. The result is perfect, what a fab kettle and it looks amazing on the stove.i would definately recommend this product.

I love this kettle. I love the retro look (and the whistle!!) and it looks great on my new hob. It's quick to boil, easy to fill and empty and I haven't found a problem with the handle or whistle getting hot. I did remove the max fill sticker as it was a bit cheap and tacky looking on the outside but it isn't a problem as the kettle has a "waistline"! Just fill to there and no higher! This kettle makes me smile when I see it boiling away!

I'm the young population mostly preferring electric kettles but when our went bust after just 6 months I decided to buy traditional one. It's GREAT! I love it and all my friends does to. No one minds to wait a little longer for their drink. And you can make proper coffee pouring over boiling water. I'm really really pleased with it. Handle is not to hot and it's whistles beautifully. Maybe a little heavy when full but what are men for?
