Decided to buy my first stove top kettle aiming to save electricity and to stop using electric kettle. This rather little kettle well exceeded my expectations. It boils enough water to make around 4 large mugs of tea or a full teapot plus 1 mug. It whistles nicely, and pours very neatly, unlike other reviews stating that it splutters everywhere. For me it did no spluttering whatsoever. I can't believe that I am so happy about this little kettle (and I must admit, I am very picky). And oh, it boils really quickly, never found myself waiting and waiting for it to boil. Also, it brings water to the boil silently, and only whistles at the end.

I love the look of this solid little kettle. It’s whistle is rather quiet so you couldn’t go far from it. It pours well and the lid comes off for filling or you could fill through the spout. The handle didn’t get hot but I only boil enough for one cup , perhaps if it was full it may do, check other reviews for that. The colour matches my cooker perfectly , it’s mid to light cream. Delivery was super quick , it arrived 2 days after ordering even though they said it would be 4 days . There’s a small loose button (see photo) which I’ve no idea about but it doesn’t seem to need it. All in all I’m very pleased with it and should be cheaper than boiling a kettle ( a bit slower though).

Seems to work ok on a medium temperature without damaging the enamel finish. Looks attractive. Lid is a bit tight. Spout cover has a good mechanism. Takes a while after coming to boil to build up the pressure required to make it whistle. Because I put my induction cooker on 6 and dare not risk any higher as I don't want the enamel to come off or get discoloured, it takes a while to boil. If I was to buy a kettle again now, I'd just buy a stainless steel kettle without any finish, so I could boil it at maximum temperature and get that hot water faster!

We have the almond coloured Kettle. So far it has kept its colour and still looks good. You need to make sure you don't overfill it. I tip the Kettle to make sure of the water level. After boiling let it settle for at least 30 seconds. Then when you tip it the hot water wont splash out. It has a good whistle. Its well made. Good spout lifting operation.I found it best to lift the kettle from the back part of the kettle's handle so when you empty it you don't have to bend your hand as much. I would by another one.

This is a pretty little kettle (I have it in cream) and looks great on the hob. The whistle isn’t deafening but loud enough to hear. The only issue I have with it is trying to see if the water is above the maximum fill level. I’m so pleased with it though that I shall just guess. After all, if the water level is more than the recommended level what can happen other than water comes out of the spout?Would definitely recommend.

This is a great little kettle. It is attractive, looks neat left on the hob, suits my new modern grey kitchen and whistles very loudly. Don't be tempted to leave it alone if you have an induction hob though, it boils really quickly, and if you fill it quite full make sure you wait until the whistle has completely stopped before trying to pour, otherwise it will splutter.

This was bought for our motorhome and we wanted something smallish in size, attractive and not too ‘tinny’.On arrival we felt it was exactly right. It is large enough for two and small enough to store easily. The cream enamel finish seems to be good quality and the weight doesn’t shout out ‘camping kettle’, it’s substantial without being bulky.Very pleased with this.

An excellent smaller size kettle, perfect for a shaky hand like mine, and nice and safe because it whistles. Before this I was boiling water in a pan and my son was horrified at me. But now I have this lovely kettle instead. And what a lovely action it has for opening. I can do it with one hand. Perfect for an older person like me. Top quality. Much recommended.

Well reduced from £34 to £18 I was expecting reasonable quality but this far exceeded my expectations. So after reading that I had to 3/4 fill it up first and bring it to the boil I was surprised how quick it was to start whistling. We bought it for camping when no EHU is available and need hot drinks. Today it was used on a gas hob and worked a treat

We changed our kettle from a VERY well known brand because it dripped when pouring the water.This Prestige kettle is great. No drips, a quick wipe over when still warm cleans it, plus you are not heating up litres of water you do not use.Whistle works - the handle can get a little hot but I use a kettle cloth.Would buy this kettle again

Cute kettle, holds plenty of water for two. Works great on my induction hob. I like the lever on the handle that lifts the spout lid so you don't get burnt. haven't had it long so don't know longevity of it yet. UPDATE -I've now been using it for less than 2 months and its starting to rust inside where the spout is attached to the base.

On the small side but big enough to do the job ! Use it on electric hob no issues and that wonderful whistle takes me right back to childhood . Good quality finish and feels sturdy which is a bonus in my view . Recommended kettle for that retro experience , I'm genuinely chuffed by my purchase and all the fun is back to making a cuppa ?

I initially bought one of the many foldable handle type kettles by mistake and was concerned at how flimsy they were - not this one. Its a solid quality unit with a fixed handle. There is a lever under the handle which, when squeezed, lifts the spout cover for pouring. Worth paying a little extra for this kind of quality.

Takes 2:34 to boil 750ml water on a 2.2KW Induction ring. For comparison, my outgoing 3KW rapid boil kettle takes 1:59 mins to boil the same amount of water.Spout works good (free flow, no excessive drips). Inside is also enamelled. Water taste is good.So far so good- too early to comment on longevity yet.
