This Scrabble set was purchased in memory of a late scrabble club member so it was important that we bought the best we could get. On the whole it fits the bill very nicely. The wooden box and board is of good quality, the book of score sheets is absolutely lovely and the timer is a nice addition. However, the wooden tiles are very flimsy and you have to check both sides for the letters as it is quite easy to mistake the reverse side of a lettered tile for one of the blank tiles. That said, we soon got used to them although we still prefer the old style plastic tiles. One of the main issues I had was that in the description of the item it said the set came with a brass plaque which could be engraved but it was missing from our set.

Games come and go, but Scrabble endures, re-invented either through mobile apps or boards. So I was looking for a quality set, that could be used in a semi-professional gaming environment.The Deluxe editions have received generally poor reviews, but when I saw this was very interested.I've unpacked it today (after only ordering yesterday, and have to say the quality is absouletely superb. Someone has put a lot of love and attention into designing this set, and I can't fault a single thing. From the green baize interiot surrounded to store the pieces to the wooded tiles, this has quality written all over it.

I've been an avid fan of Scrabble, playing a lot of games on various Scrabble editions, and I swear that this is one of the best Scrabble boards I've ever played on. While many so-called "deluxe" editions are in fact cheaply made of plastic, this Prestige Edition does truly live up to its name, with a sturdy and attractive game board. The wood is very beautiful, suitable for leaving out on your game table. The board rotates on a built-in turntable, the grooves hold tiles in place, and all the items including wooden tiles, racks, tile bag, sand timer can be easily stored in the storage compartments in the game board. A must have for all the Scrabble lovers.

Overall this is a really good quality product - and as a fairly avid Scrabble fan - one the the best sets I've used.My only problem with it is that the tile holders are overly lightweight and feel somewhat flimsy. I suspect that they're made from balsa wood - and they do not hold the tiles securely at all. I personally feel that they should be slightly larger.That being said - its still well worth purchasing.

This is a good quality set, this is my first Scrabble set and it feels strong and it is very nice to play with it.I like the feature that you can spin the board very easily. Happy with the purchase although it feels with a price that is on the high side, but I couldn't find any other set with same features at a lower price.

This is presented in a great box so can be left out on display. The tiles are held in place by ridges so it is harder to knock them out of position when playing with elderly people or children. It has provided new entertainment to our evenings. GREAT FUN.

Not as light to carry as the one luxury edition it replaced but nevertheless useful. Pointless including a score record book if used on a daily basis. Better to make the frame lighter.

I was a bit sceptical having read some of the other reviews but I have to say the product is beautifully constructed and is a very grand in appearance. Very pleased.

This is ace! All Scrabble players should have one of these - the turn table is especially useful as you don't have to argue over who gets the board facing them!

Bought it for a present it looked the best that I viewed nicely presented in a nice box with good features, arrived within the guided time and well packed

This was a gift for my daughter and arrived in time and in brilliant condition. It was well packaged and my daughter was delighted with her present.

Although a trifle expensive, this is a well made product that makes playing the game much easier with its turntable and raised grid.

This might sound a bit expensive but it really is worth every penny. Excellently presented. Super all round and Highly recommended.
