I've only had this kettle for 3 weeks, but have used it daily, sometimes two or three times a day. I've not noticed any dripping or difficulty pouring. The handle stays cool and the top comes off with a bit of a tug - I like that there's a little resistance, but your mileage may vary. I have a lot of pain in my hands but it is not enough to give me difficulty. It fills very easily. The whistle is not train-loud (like my mother's older Chantal kettle) but is loud enough for our small house. I am usually quite close to the stove while using it, but have been able to hear it upstairs as well. It's a bit thin and wavering especially at the beginning but is charming in my opinion.I've accidentally clunked it a couple times and was worried about chipping, but it's still in one piece. I like the weight of it as well. It isn't heavy but it doesn't feel cheap.I am concerned about possible future rusting as I don't dry it thoroughly after every use, but I do try to dry around the inside of the lid and the spout.Aesthetically it is GORGEOUS. I love the shape of this kettle, and the color matches my canisters perfectly. It was only 12£ more than the red kettle in our local kitchen store. Not a huge price to pay for the added benefits of the design and color. I'd recommend it but am grateful for the more critical reviews.Updated September 2013. We've now had the kettle for a little over a year and despite daily use and almost never drying it off at all (let alone thoroughly, or after use, just its once a week washing), it hasn't rusted, hasn't chipped, doesn't drip, and continues to have a pleasing, loud-enough-for-me whistle. A very good kettle.Updated June 2016 - the kettle is still going strong with no rust or chipping.Updated August 2018 - Alas, the kettle has now developed rust on the inside, where the spout connects to the body. Otherwise it is still perfect, and it seems to have come on rather quickly...I can't think of anything I was doing differently. It's disappointing.

We love the Zen kettle and have been using it for a few weeks now. It looks great and comes to the boil quickly and quietly. Every electric kettle we have had has started out quietly and gradually over time become noisier and noisier to the point where it's just incredibly irritating. The only noise from the Zen is the whistle which is loud enough in our house. Reading other reviews we empty out unused water, especially as we live in a very hard water area. The minor gripe is that you have to fill the kettle from the top rather than the spout and the lid is a little stiff.Would recommend this kettle.

I bought because I love the style and colour and it’s a great brand. I realise it is not the most affordable kettle but I treated myself. I had read other reviews so I will be careful not to overfill and be gentle with the open closing of the whistling part. I love it so much, I am little hard of hearing so kept burning my old kettle the whistle is a cheerful sound. I also have a beautiful Orla Keilly kettle without whistle and when boiling the water came out the spout. But in the case of this kettle it’s perfect design and I am really very happy with my extravagant purchase x

A new kitchen and a new cooker left our old, electric kettle looking more than a tad shabby and out-of-place.The obvious was a stove-top alternative. It takes time to get used to, since it doesn't boil as fast as an electric one, but this is far outweighed by the advantages.First, it looks really good – and is lighter than you might expect of Le Creuset. Not having an automatic cut-off when the water just hits boiling point helps make far better tea – and perhaps best of all, with no element inside, it's easy to clean regularly and thus avoid the build-up of limescale.

After previously viewing some reviews on this kettle I was a bit hesitant to buy it but I am so pleased I ignored some of the negative remarks. If you use the kettle as directed in the instructions, empty it of unused water and fill it to the indicated level then you will have no trouble what so ever. The comments about the whistle not being loud enough! I can hear the kettle at the bottom of my garden.I would encourage people to buy this item and follow the instructions for use. You will be pleased you did..We definitely are.Thank you so much for an excellent product

Dear Amazon,I am happy to keep this item for now, but want to register with you that there is a chip in the lid (see attached photo). The packaging wasn't damaged, so I assume that either this went unnoticed or it is a seconds item. There is no other way that I can easily discern to let you know of this without travelling the route of returning it.I am happy to keep this item for now, but wanted to register this minor fault with you in case it becomes worse and I have to return it in the future. This item comes with a 5 year guarantee, so I'll be keeping an eye on it.

I purchased this kettle in June and it is, by far, the best kettle I have ever owned. It is so easy to clean that it looks as new now as when I bought it. I recommend cleaning the inside with a very soft brush once a week. I wipe the outside with a microfibre cloth - the blue ones from Lakeland are the best.If you allow the water to 'settle' before pouring, the kettle will not drip. This applies to other kettles, too. I cannot comment on the whistle, as I do not use it.The design is stunning and would look good in a modern or traditional kitchen.

I read the other reviews before purchasing. This is a perfect kettle. The whistle blows loud and strong, and the water boils in about 7 minutes - about the same as my old electric kettle. The water pours perfectly into the tea pot or French press. The handle gets hot and you cannot lift it with your bare hand (hot pad, tea towel etc all work) - BUT this is not a criticism - what do you expect from a stove top kettle? I recommend this kettle and will likely be purchasing more for gifts at Christmas and weddings.

Just lovely! Have wood burner and not much space from wood burner top to chimney plinth - 8in! - and 'cone-'type' kettles would not fit. This 'JUST' fits! Water takes 13mins from 'best burn' start to boil and whistle slowly starts. Thought it was 'wind' coming down through chimney at first! Someone said tea tastes different and thought a fallacy but..... it is true! couple of friends though the same! Would definitely recommend.

i decided not to replace my electric kettle, so bought this one, and very pleased i am with it, i always put fresh water in it and tea taste's better for it, it does not scale up as the electric kettle did, i find it ridiculous some user's complained that hot water spurted out when they poured out the content's what did the expect? wait 10 seconds then proceed. i enjoy the process of making a cuppa now,

I was bought this kettle for use on my boat. It is excellent, colour is fantastic and as long as you follow the instructions NOT to fill it too much and to leave it a couple of seconds after boiling in order to pour the water out, then it's great. The whistle is more than loud enough to let you know when to turn to heat off and aesthetically it really looks fab in the galley.

26.9.2013

smaller capacity than most hob kettles which suits my small household, the lid can be a little stiff but needs to be to avoid boiling over. The wide base means it boils pretty quickly, haven't noticed much difference in time taken from my previous electric kettle. I have not had too much problem with scaling in a very hard water area, and a good choice of colours

The jug heats water extremely quickly on an induction hob, but due to the shape it is only possible to fill the jug up to a third of its total volume. That is the price you have to pay for a beautiful shape. The whistle is high enough, but maybe a little too light for my personal taste. On the other hand, the bright tone may be heard farther away.

I was a little on the fence with this kettle because I read reviews that it didn't pour well and that the stickers didn't want to come off but they must have fixed these because mine pours beautifully and the stickers just came off so easily. I love it, and looking forward to a greener life from here now I've dumped my electric kettle.

Does as it say's on the tin, well kettle! It's Le creuset need I say more! Any way a great service from provider, and quick delivery as promised. Spout drips a little after boiling but small price to pay, but ai love it, great colour too. Not as loud as my kone kettle but that's no problem. Would purchase again from provider.
