This review is part of a story about a compacted lawn! The three parts include an auger, a drill and this jam funnel. See my review at for more of the story at https://amzn.to/3mBVDLFI use the auger and drill to make holes in my lawn because it is heavily compacted and needs to be aerated if it is ever again going to look like a real lawn. The auger makes a hole large enough to pour in sharp sand, fertilizer etc. The lower end of this jam funnel is 40 mm in diameter and fits exactly into the hole made by the auger. It makes it very easy to pour chicken manure pellets (see: https://amzn.to/3mzElyF) into the hole - although I have to tamp the pellets down into the hole with a stick.A jam funnel? No, it is a manure funnel! On the other hand because it is made of quality stainless steel washing it properly (it is dishwasher safe) means that I can then use it to fill jars with jam! But as I do not have a clue how to make jam that is highly unlikely.Made in the UK. Quality. Durability. Reasonable price. What's not to like?

I have been making jam for about five years and can fill 12oz jars with my usual funnel purchased from Lakeland. However, to fill the 4oz jars I have been using the top from a squash bottle cut off to make a funnel......................However, I have just received the Home Made Kitchen Craft Stainless Steel Adjustable Jam Funnel or HMKCSSAJF but whatever you call it it is my new best friend. I can now fill small jars with jam, chutney, curd or jelly without a sticky nasty mess to clear up afterwards.Thank you Home Made Kitchen Craft for this amazing simple yet wonderful piece of kit. My only problem is that although it is adjustable I have difficulty removing the small funnel from the largerone.......I don't care it works so well and cleans so well in the dish washer I just leave it on and use the whole thing when filling small jars.If I could give this little gem 10 stars then I would give it 12. Love it love it love it.

This jam funnel is fine. For pity's sake don't spend any more than this. It does the job. Sometimes I wouldn't mind a slightly wider opening at the base for chunky chutneys, but then it would be too wide for my narrowest jars, so I deal with it and push through the chunky bits with the spoon. Whose kitchen is big enough to store two sizes of jam funnel, anyway? It's surprising that they're not all made the same, really - how difficult can it be to design the perfect jam funnel, once and for all time? Haven't our engineers got something more useful to do with their energy? The handle isn't a lavish affair, admittedly, but it does the job.Assuming that you'll be using a spatula it's pointless spending more on a non-stick funnel which will eventually lose its coating. This one will outlive me. It ought to cost about 50p, but the laugh's on us as usual.

I bought this funnel as I needed something to reduce mess when filing soup bags and sauce jars. I am also going to use it when I make and can jam in the summer.I must say very impressed with the funnel I purchased. Made from a resistant stainless steel material that appears to have some non stick coating. The liquids just glide straight off and into jar (even the thicker soups). It has a useful little handle for handling when the funnel becomes hot from liquid. My only criticism is that it will not fit the really small individual jars I have. However, there is an option to buy with or purchase later a convertor for smaller jars. Which I will probably end up doing.Overall I would recommend this product as it does appear built to last.It would make a nice gift for a home cook and the tag provided contains a gift label. Will be using often.

As stated in other reviews, the size of the bottom opening of the funnel is 3.5cm, not 7 as stated. But I actually find this an advantage (the smaller opening, not the misleading description!) as most of the jars I use are perfectly fit for the funnel size. The handle is ideal as most of the time I use it with hot food. I wash it regularly in the dishwasher and, as you would expect form stainless steel, it's still as good as new (I've had it for 2 years now). The size and shape of this funnel are perfectly suitable not only for jam, but also for sauces like bolognese or vegetable/chicken chunky soups. I regularly use it also for storing my raw and cooked pulses. Overall I find it a very useful little tool,to the point that I bought 3 more for my mum, mother-in-law and great-aunt.

I only wanted one but they sent two. Each one is 146 mm wide, 95 mm tall and the outlet tube is 40mm diameter. The handle is spot welded on so should be very strong. It is highly polished with smooth edges. Very nicely made. I use it for pouring nuts, bolts, screws etc into jars in my workshop. I offered my spare one to my partner but she didn't want it because she already had one, this one was too tall to fit in her gadget drawer, not as wide and with a narrower outlet hole than her existing one. I would have preferred it to be a bit wider but it's pefectly good. This is one of those cases where the product is better than expected for the price so I am very happy with it (them).

Having made jam for years I thought I'd got the process licked. But having accidentally come across this gadget I thought I'd give it a whirl. How glad I am that I did. Transferring jam from the pan to the jar is so much easier, quicker and there's no more fiddly jam to clear of the top and sides of the jar before putting the lid on. It took me less than 5 minutes to pot up the entire batch. Marvellous. Some reviewers have pointed out that the bottom of the funnel is smaller than the dimensions given. This makes absolutely no difference to the end result as there's still plenty of room for your fruit or chunky veg to pass through. No fuss, no mess, no worries.

Small nozzle allows you to fill even the small 1oz jam jars which makes this a great piece of kit. Also I never had a jam funnel with a handle. Since buying this one the other two I have are now in the bin, this is because after filling a few dozen jars you inadvertently get jam all around the rim and your gloves then touch a small spot and you then transfer onto the outside of the jars being filled. Not the end of the world but another job to do before labelling them! Having a handle prevents this mess and for such a little piece of metal it certainly saves time in the long run. Two great features that make this better than any big brand funnel.

I love this funnel. I've not used it for jam yet but it's already proved invaluable so many times. The large and small nozzle means it's perfect for decanting into any jar or storage. So far... Coffee, pasta, rice into storage jars, salt into a tiny salt cellar, peppercorns into a mill, bird food into feeders. Each time, zero mess and it makes everything so much easier. Never appreciated how useful a funnel could be in day-to-day life. Plus this particular one looks elegant, is plastic free and is superbly multifunctional and minimalistic with the two sizes of nozzle working for any need. LOVE IT!

I have to say that I bought this to put rice in a large jar that I have. I chose this one because if you check measurements it's a lot bigger than some of the cheaper ones for sale. The bigger the better.. there is less chance of you missing and stuff ending up on the floor! So, yes, I was delighted. It really is a good size, almost six inches in diameter and, seriously, even I can't miss that. In passing it would also work for flour, pasta, almost anything. A great, general purpose funnel but takes up a lot less space in the cupboard than a comparable funnel, so it's a really great buy.

I purchased this after even after reading reviews about the narrowness of the funnel neck. I thought that after considering the neck diameter of 30 something mm that it would be fine BUT it does look much small in practice. I haven't used it yet and it may not be a problem, but one does wonder why it couldn't have been made with a wider - say 50mm - neck. Having said that it seems to be well enough made.Since buying this I have bought a Tala one which has a wider neck BUT the Tala one is two wide for certain (reused) jars (e.g. Hartley jam jars) so this one does have it's uses!

The first time I made jam it took hours to carefully transfer the hot jam into the jars using a spoon or ladle, the first time I made chutney I used massive jars to avoid spilling it when filling them... both times I ended up with as much contents on the outside of the jar or over the work surface as I did inside the jar itself! This is nice and wide so you can be a lot quicker and sits easily on top of the jar so is pretty stable. Nice wide opening at the bottom so would be fine for chunky chutneys or using with dried beans etc.Went through the dishwasher fine too.

This was a replacement for a battered, holey old aluminium one so it was in with a chance anyway. I have to say it's even better than I hoped it would be, the funnel part is narrower than my old one so it fits all the funny little jars one inevitably collects, but not so narrow that whole strawberries have trouble going through. It has the bonus of a handle which stays cool enough to transfer it from jar to jar without the oven gloves knocking the full jars over and getting covered with hot jam. It comes out of the dishwasher smiling. I wish I'd had one years ago

Can't believe I've struggled all these years trying to jug my chutney into jars! This is so much easier & less messy. Bought the adjustable one but not sure I'll need the extra nozzle (an occasion might crop up though...). This one seems well made & the extra nozzle attaches by lining up the notches & twisting so very easy to get on & off (this may be a new feature as previous reviews mentioned a problem with nozzle either falling off & or being impossible to remove. Good size...neat enough to store away but large enough to not splash.

I have been looking for a smaller neck jam funnel for awhile my Lakeland jM funnel fits my chutney jars but nt my hexagonal jam jars, I read the reviews from people who were dissapointed with the funnel being smaller than advertised but seen as this is what I was looking for I couldn't get it into my amazon cart fast enough. Fits my jars a treat, love the handle which my lakeland one doesn't have. Well made and Arrived fast. Listing in correct as people have stated but if it's what your looking for then go for it
