Extremely happy with those walking boots. I am shoe size 7 – 7 ½ and bought the size 8 boots, which fit fine with just thin socks and slightly tighter lacing, but also allow for thick walking socks with room to move the toes. The boots are very light in weight and comfortable to wear. I broke them in by wearing them – almost non-stop for a week – in town. They kept my feet warm and dry in winter weather and, despite being new, never a blister in sight! After a day or so they developed a crease over the front of the boot, right above were the lacing starts. Initially that pressed down on my big toes, particularly on one foot, causing some discomfort, but no blisters or bruising.I persevered and the crease is now softened and causes no more pressure on the foot.I have now worn these boots in downtown Germany, on muddy trails in Scotland and on rocky mountain trails, damp bush walks, sandy beaches and dunes in New Zealand and found them comfortable to wear, withstanding all those different conditions and easy to clean. They keep feet comfortable and dry, the Vibram soles have decent grip over rocks and the boots give good ankle support, which I need.I would definitely buy them again both for comfort, light weight and nice looks. They are very good value and I happily recommend them for hiking over a variety of terrains and in all weathers.

Headed on a 10 day hiking holiday, and had been to 4 high st shops and nothing fitted. As a large but narrow size 8/9 it is very hard to find a boot to fit, and the thought of buying online without trying on 2 days before heading out on the Yorkshire Moors and dales was more desperation than sense. I read the reviews carefully, and the returns policy, so knew I could (and most probably would) send them pack. One reviewer said she bought a size 9 (42) as she was a "big" 8 and it was perfect, so I heeded her advice and went for it. When they arrived on time, I tried them on, they seemed great, a lovely fit and a little room for a hiking sock ... So good so far ...And so I set off (with my old ones just in case they weren't as comfy as expected after 15 miles a day!). Well, they have been through sand, sea, mud, water, up and down Moors and dales, through villages and cities, and a few pubs and they are sincerely the most comfortable, planted boot I have ever had ... And most definitely waterproof. I shall be buying a backup pair as soon as I get home. Absolutely brilliant.

Mrs H is very pleased with her new Grisport Hurricane boots - They are high quality, well-made and extremely comfortable boots (Straight out of the box). They are not at all "clunky" - so they don't make her petite feet look like they belong to a Yeti. The laces are just the right length (for a change) and the leather uppers are nicely stitched and properly sealed. She tells me that they have good ankle support and have a nice and grippy rubber (Vibram) sole. They are surprisingly lightweight too. Size-wise, she is normally UK 4'5 and the Size 5 Hurricane boot is a good fit for her slightly broader than average feet, allowing just enough room for some decent hiking socks too,We haven't tested them in extreme conditions yet but have no doubt they'll cope with wet conditions judging by the way they've been put together. The way our great British Summer is going this year, we'll know soon enough how watertight the boots are (!!)

I bought the Lady Hurricane brown boots for general use - back and forth to town, walking my dogs and general ambling about. They are very comfortable and very lightweight I don't yet know how water-resistant they are I haven't had to test that yet (I wear good wellies for wet weather dog walks). I have moderately wide feet and slightly (?) arthritic toes and have found these boots accommodate both, I can wear hand-knit woollen socks comfortably and the sole is firm enough to prevent too much over-flexing of the foot whilst still giving good shock-absorption. The ankle padding is just right giving good support and the back section is cut slightly lower, allowing a comfortable walking style with no rubbing. My toes stick up a bit and so I've found the toe box deep enough to allow good wriggle-room. So far I've found these to be a good, comfortable, lightweight and well-priced boot. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great quality boot - nice leather and great comfort - apart from a very small amount of breaking in across the left foot (toe line). The laces open low down and they are very easy to put on - I have a slightly wider than average foot and these fit very well. Bought these having returned two pairs of Hi-Tec boots - one pair let in water after 8 weeks and the lace eyelet on the replacement pair popped off after about 10 days! Very disappointing as I have worn Hi-Tec for the last few years although not the model I returned - previous model has been discontinued - why do they do that?!These boots are about £30 more expensive than the Hi-Tec but I thoroughly recommend them - dogs walked every dayso far and no complaints.Highly recommend the Grisport - in fact I'm looking at a lightweight pair of their boots for summer dog walking! Also have to say the service from Amazon re replacements/returns has been excellent.

This is my second pair of these boots. My old ones are about 9 years old and have developed a leak across the fold on top, but this is because I neglected to put dubbin on them often enough. I have worn them every day to walk the dog and up hill and down dale in all weathers. The new ones arrived today, and are just as comfortable:in fact I wore them straight away. They feel higher on the ankle but are exactly the same size as the old ones, so I think this is probably just the newness of the leather. Otherwise they feel great, and believe you me, I have problem feet. I am a size 7 but noticed the old ones were a 41 so ordered size 8 and they're perfect: roomy, but look neat on.If they last as long as the others I'll be well pleased!

I have had a lot of trouble buying walking boots in the past as I have a drop foot which puts a lot of pressure on my toes and soles causing blisters and bruising. These are the best boots I have ever had. They were comfortable from day one, I have had no blisters or pain. Previous boots I've had have caused blisters and pain after wearing them periodically over several years. They are quite lightweight considering they are so sturdy. They are not too clumpy and almost smart enough to wear with jeans etc for walking in cities rather than in the great outdoors. The weight and the style are quite useful if you are backpacking or on a longer trip where you need to pack light.I have experience of this and found them useful.

Comfortable and easy to walk in from the word 'go'. I exchanged a pair of Grisport Dartmoor boots for these as the latter did not give me sufficient ankle support (thanks Amazon for a no-nonsense exchange). These boots now replace my existing pair of expensive ECCO boots which I gave up on after 8-months of uncomfortable walking and wet feet (so much for the Gortex label!). Grisport boots are definitely value for money and were recommended by my husband who has had a pair of Grisport Exmoor boots for 3-years and there's plenty of wear left in the sole and the uppers are in great condition given that he walks with our dog on most days for 2 miles on a stony beach plus walks in the country.

I have never bought a pair of walking boots before without trying them and was a little sceptical that these would be comfortable. I could be more wrong, these are the best boots that I have ever bought. They were instantly comfortable. There is plenty of room for my bent arthritic toes. They provide good snug ankle support such that I don't feel as though y ankle will turn over. I'm happy to tramp over uneven surfaces and know that all round these boots provide great protection and support. As a final test I paddled through a stream and thought, here goes, wet feet. Not a bit of it. I am so delighted with these boots, that I really can't recommend them highly enough. Love them.

I am a regular walker and have been wearing light weight boots and wellingtons. I decided I needed some proper walking boots and sought advice, I was told that I would need to wear them in and that they will be tough to walk in to start with too.I thought long and hard about buying a pair from the internet, but I am so pleased I did, not only are these the most comfortable boots they were a good price too. I walked 5 miles the the first time I wore them and have done plenty more since. As for the waterproofing they are fine. Another plus is they make my size 7 feet look so small. They look great, are very comfortable, waterproof and grip well, GREAT Boots.

Nicest boots I’ve owned. Nice hard toe but leather is extremely supple and the boot is very light. I broke these in with three short 2 mile walks. At first the break did rub the top of my toes on the right foot but I put on some dubbin and they now feel very comfortable. I’m a 5.5 UK and bought a 6. They’re roomy around the toe without feeling loose, wearing everyday socks, and are perfect in hiking socks. Laces are firm and stay tied. Soles don’t feel that thick which I quite like as it means I getter sense of underfoot conditions. Waterproof so far and I did extensive research which indicate that these boots will be an excellent purchase at the price.

Just arrived today, first dog walk completed! Very pleased with my purchase, so comfortable from the word go. Had not heard of this make before but the reviews on Amazon were very positive so I decided buy them, and I am so pleased I did. Perfect for the predicted wet cold winter ahead of us, good rugged sole and a very well made boot. Incidentally, my husband used to sell outdoor clothing and footwear, he had not heard of Grisport either but when I told him they were Italian and made in the Dolomites he took more interest. He is very impressed with the quality.

I do a lot of walking, mostly in trainers and was looking for hiking boots that were waterproof and comfortable. I ordered these boots as reviews were great and I'm so happy with them! Wore them straight out of the box for a walk and continue to wear them. They have been keeping my feet warm too.True to size, but go up if you are likely to wear thick socks. These boots are waterproof as have walked through rain and light snow with no issues at all.The leather does wear easily so may be a good idea to buy some type of product to protect the leather.

I am now retired and been a keen walker all my life - I have experienced many different kinds of walking boots. These Grisport Hurricane boots are by far the best boots I have ever owned. They fit perfectly and are surprisingly light weight for a leather boot. My feet are warm and dry in all weathers. I walk every day whatever the weather so my boots really have to be good and sturdy which these are. I would thoroughly recommend these boots and I will be looking for a lighter summer pair in the next few months.

I was dreading buying new boots as my old ones were so comfortable and I have sensitive feet. I need plenty of room for my toes - both width and height (plenty of wriggle room) or my toes go numb.I have worn these boots five times now, for about two hours each time. They are wonderful! I walked for two and a half hours today and at the end I was thrilled that my feet were completely comfortable. They give good support while feeling roomy - perfect!
