Found this whiskey years ago in an independent shop and have struggled to find it since. Glad to see they've become well known enough to sell on Amazon, and kept at a sensible price unlike its AAA equivalent Aberlour Abunadh. I'm a big collector of sherry cask, cask strength non-chill filtered whiskeys specifically, and it remains my favourite. I've had friends over who are not fans of whiskey in general, or have brought round one of their own to try and commented at how smooth this one is.

I applaud GlenDronach in giving this whisky a name and an age statement. In doing so in sampling this whisky I am able to get a better appreciation of how the spirit is aging as I work upwards though the range GlenDronach has to offer. I strongly recommend this whisky in its own right as it is non chill filtered and with no added colouring but watch the purchase price as it fluctuates on a daily basis.

This young whisky is good but isn't at its peak. Orange grove driven, flavour wise, isn't bad but looking to try the 12yo next for a more all-rounded dram. Add a few drops of water and let it stand for 10-15 minutes and it improves a lot.
