I'd tried this before in a blind tasting and actually didn't think it was Scotch, it had such a light taste putting me in mind of Suntory Hakushu (I think the colour put me off too). After a remark on my Whisky Geeks Facebook page, a friend of mine was kind enough to give me a bottle for Christmas.Because of my good fortune I sent some samples out to friends who when blind tasting were surprised too.It has a nice tingle on the tongue with plenty of fruit and a little floral background. It's smooth as anything and just a lovely dram. No smoke or peat so not for the heavy whisky lovers but you can probably tell that by the colour.Very nice.

Now this is a beautiful relatively unknown gem of a malt. Easily one of the best speyside expressions out there in my opionion. It delicately balances notes of citrus, sweet honey and a long creamy finish. Also this beauty is bottled at a nice 46% which is indiscernible under the nose. Coupled with this nice alcoholic strength is the fact this is a non-coloured, chill-filtered malt, offering a very nice craft presentation. Of final note this malt can be quite expensive, however, I would recommend paying ~40 english sterlings for it.

Not a common everyday one. It's beautifully light and smooth with a fruitiness that is lovely and clean. It needs no water, perhaps a pipette or two if you desire. No smoke, no peat, no anything to taint this refreshingly light and little known wee dram that traditionally was a favourite of the "blenders". A nice alternative to sherry bombs or mouthfuls of iodine and peat....all of which I am also a fan. A nice wee intro for non whisky drinkers.

This is the first time I have tried Aultmore and my goodness what a great single malt it is. The colour is a really light colour and my goodness the taste just hits you, being 46% volume it really does have a hit. I will be buying another bottle of Aultmore soon, what a cracking single malt.

Bought this from another retailer. Find it quite buttery and minty with a hint of peat. Tasted rather like a Hakushu single malt. It would be a great bottle for gifting as it comes in an nice tin and very thick walled bottle!

Interesting whisky, very fresh on the nose and palate, apples, grass and quite floral. Very different to the usual spaysides.Worth trying if like me you like something a bit different now and then.
