I had first tried a Merrill boot and the heel was so wide I walked right out of them. Then I tried a Columbia trail shoe. Same problem with wide heels, slipping out of them. Even wearing my heavy socks. I read the eviews for these Ecco trail shoes and people were complaining they were too narrow so that made me think they might work for me. I just put them on. The heels don't slip. They seem to be longer than a 6-6.5. I usually wear a 6 but like to go a half size bigger in trail/hiking shoes so my toe doesnt start hitting the front after long walks. But this seems much longer than usual. Not sure that's good or bad yet. Also, very little arch support. Again,

This is my second pair in two years as I have worn and worn the first pair, which are beginning to fall apart and couldn't imagine life without them. I have a narrow foot, high instep and narrow heel and these are the best shoes ever for my feet for anything from hiking up trails in Italy, dogwalking at home, gardening and wearing with fairly smart shoes for city breaks. I intend to use the old ones for the dirty jobs now and keep the new ones for the smarter occasions. The shoes are so soft they have never rubbed on my feet and caused blisters. The tread is great in the winter when icy, wet or slippery and they're not an ugly, practical shoe.

Great looking shoe but unfortunately there's no room to even wear socks, I am normally a size 5.1/2 but with a foot problemI'm now taking a size 6 which normally leaves a little room for socks, movement etc, unfortunately these are a very narrow fit and I have narrow feet anyway but with these there was no room for movement, so a very tightly fitting shoe and they came up small,they felt very uncomfortable. I had to send back but would have had them if sizing was good.It's a shame because they are a good looking shoe and well made! Ecco sort you're sizing out!

Lovely shoes. They are lightweight trainer/casual walking shoes rather than hiking shoes and are just what I wanted. They have been comfortable straight out of the box and waterproof. They are a slightly long fit and fairly narrow so I wouldn't recommend them if you have wide feet.They look well made so I am hopeful they will wear well.

I have 2 other Ecco athletic shows and wanted a black shoe. I need a 10 - 10.5 AAA and this fits me perfectly. Great arch support for me...my arch is neither too high or flat. Love the goretex protection for any damp or wet hiking trails. If you have to wear narrow shoes, this shoe is for you.

I've only recently discovered Ecco trainers; this will be my third pair. The quality is excellent. Having very narrow feet, I find it difficult to get shoes / trainers that fit, but these do. I have a pair of these in black as well. The navy pair are soft nubuck and look great with jeans.

This shoe is one of the most comfortable I have had in a long time. I wore it for a week walking the cobblestone streets of Germany-no complaints. One reason I bought it was because it is waterproof. I do think it runs narrow; I normally would buy narrow and it fit perfectly.

These shoes look really good and are made of robust materials. I loved the look of them but was very sad that one shoe was just too small. I am a size 6 usually but the size 6 in this shoe seems a bit tight. I will try a 7. Returns policy for them is superb and simple.

So far so good. I've worn them for a few days now. Comfortable straight out of the box. I've walk about 6 km a day in them with no blisters or rubbing. I also really like the style - not a frumpy walking shoe for a change, hurray!!

Super comfy.Look really high quality, feel high quality and look very smart.Fit my narrow feet well and are generously sized, they're as you would expect-moderately large.They seem pretty water resistant too which is nice.

Really good shoes. They fit as expected, and I like the colour too. Comfy and sturdy, as all ecco trainers. (I've got a number of different ones.) Looking forward to wearing them when I'm out and about.

I ordered these for my wife to wear at work - she's on her feet60 hours a week. She loves them - for fit, comfort, and appearance!I just ordered a 2nd pair for her, so you know we like this shoe!

When I ordered a shoe at my usual size, it was too small. I returned it and ordered a replacement 1 size larger. That worked well. Your return and replacement process when smoothly and quickly.

Ecco shoes are great! After years of hurting feet I can now walk for long periods of time without pain and believe me I have tried every brand there is.

Good fit and look quite smart for walking shoes. Not as springy as others I have but certainly solid and waterproof so looking forward to using them.
