This little beauty arrived on Saturday and was out of its pristine packaging and up and running within minutes. This has baby has proudly taken the place of an AM01 in our family of Dysons and is so welcome!You casually mentioned that it would be quieter than my AM01, 04 or 05 and when talking about power consumption, that it used even less than its economical relatives. Yes, yes and YES! I am so pleased that you have at last actually put these incredible facts on your product boxes - this has been my one complaint since my first Dyson, my cheerful DC02, that you have been incredibly coy when it comes to some of the unique and wonderful advantages of your products.

Not had this more than an hour so bare that in mind. The first question i was asked for this review was would i recommend this to a friend? My answer was no on the basis of pounds per results. I'm going to contradict myself as i write this. Power level 10 its like a Hair Dryer in the room. I think i was expecting too much from 75% quieter. You get a good kick of wind at that speed. In a quiet room you need to have the settings at least number 3 or lower or the noise will become a nuisance. On level 1 its pretty much silent. The oscillating is silent and very precise in its movement. Level 1 i'm sitting 6ft away and its a nice steady breeze and quiet, not silent but acceptable not to be come a nuisance a light hummm.

Love it - if you think spending nearly £200 on a fan is exorbitant think again.As a night-shift worker I wanted something to keep the air flowing whilst the windows were shut so that I can sleep in hot weather; equally I needed something quieter than the average bladed fan, so after doing some research came upon this product.On settings 1-5 the fan is exceptionally quiet, even more so if you put something sound-deadening under the motor located in the base of the unit. On settings 6 and above the fan is more noisy, but still less so than a standard bladed fan.One reason I cannot sleep with a bladed-fan on is the vibration that gets transmitted through the fan's use,

I toyed with buying a Dyson Air Multiplier for some time, but was deterred by the price. However, in the recent hot weather, I'd been using a conventional fan and decide that I couldn't stand another summer of the noise and rough air movement that goes with it, so I decided to take the plunge. Right from day one, I was delighted with it.Assembly, which consists of putting the top onto the base and turning until it clicks, is simple. Once assembled, it looks clean, modern and stylishPlug it in an use the small slim remote control to turn it on, set the speed (1 to 10) and set it to oscillate, if desired. A great touch is the sleep timer which allows you to get off to sleep with the fan running,

I’ve wanted one of these fans for ages and when it started getting hot, I started looking again as I’ve been working every week through lockdown and at work in my office, it’s warm even with a window open.I decided I’d try the desk top one for work but try it out at home first in our bedroom.I was impressed at how big the actual diameter is of the fan Itself as bigger than I thought. It’s perfect for our needs in bedroom and I’ll take it to work to use through the day.The noise is really quiet! I didn’t find it loud at all on 10, highest setting but I’m writing this in bed watching tv and I can’t hear it on level 4 but I can feel it.I especially love the tilt on the base backward or forward to get it exactly where I want it to direct that lovely ‘breeze’ and the remote,

we just purchased the AM06 desk fan for our bedroom, after reading a few bad point reviews i was hoping the new model didn't have the mentioned faults it is so quiet it does not click while oscillating and over just the first night made a massive difference to myself and my wifes night sleep,it definitely does not have any of the mentioned and it does cool you down as is claimed in some reviews that it doesn't we had it on just number 3 allnight and did not hear it but felt the gentle breeze allnight long. i have the 75% quieter newer model and it truly is remarkable, its a bit expensive but what isnt these days id still rather pay for the quality and silence some say it dont cool but it does

The AM06 is about my fifth or 6th Dyson product. I love well engineered electronic goods and gadgets and grew up listening to music on high quality HiFi systems. The Dyson products remind me of my HiFi products - they are first and foremost superbly designed and manufactured , the performance is awesome and they look stunning into the bargain. So much so that they just make you smile as it is a pleasure to do even the most mundane things in life like vacuuming. I used to hate vacuuming, it was a task which had to be done but the noise was so annoying. Now with my cordless DC59 the noise and cables have gone - wow I love cleaning the floors now ! Back to the AM06 fan - just try one !!!!!

Dyson as a whole have been such a reliable manufacturer of the latest technology in cleaning and air. I have always trusted this brand and feel that they treat existing customers, as well as new ones, so professionally and friendly that they offer one of the best services I have experienced from such a large company. I have issues with keeping cool and saw the Dyson AM06 in my local Currys. Although I was originally reluctant with the price of the product, I had read several reviews and took the plunge to buy one. The desk fan is so sleek in design and so quiet. The air just flows out and has made such a huge difference for me.

I had been considering buying this fan for a few years but the price put me off. I needed it for night time in the bedroom, I am a light sleeper and could not sleep with a normal fan in the room due to noise. I live on ground floor so cannot have window open that much. I am so glad I bought this and wish I had bought it years ago! On the lower setting such as 1 or 2 (it goes up to 10) I can sleep at night. I was struggling with menopausal symptoms and another health problem that makes it difficult to control my body temperature(I have a 1 tog duvet and that is sometimes too hot!) The fan is not completely silent but having looked at noise levels in decibels of air con units I felt this would be quieter.

With the recent spell of warm weather (I shouldn't moan but isn't that the English way?) it's been rather uncomfortable in my west facing room of an evening... so a fan was a must! Having previously read reviews of earlier models I researched the AM06 prior to purchase and everything seemed to indicate a quieter machine.Having something that is functional yet looks aesthetically pleasing is very important to me and for that I will pay more than the 'average' which often leads me to Dyson as they seem to have both elements covered.Straight out of the box it was merely a case of clicking two parts together, plugging it in and off you go! It comes with a remote and a button on the console - speeds of 1-10,

Although some may say that the Dyson Air Multiplier is a expensive fan, its much more than just a ordinary fan. The clever technology of using a turbine like fan inside of the machine enables it to produce a constant, uncut flow of cool air whilst still drawing air in form all directions using the unique blade-less technology.I am very happy with my purchase, it is a quality fan, far more easier to clean than ordinary blade fans, it has 10 specific fan speeds, oscillating function, sleep timer, and you can control it all with a handy remote control that magnetically attaches to the top of the machine when not in use so you do not lose it!It is especially quiet at night when i use it most,

Overall this is good fan, but think it is very expensive. Although the details say it is 75% quieter than the previous model, when it is on full power at 10 speed I think it is quite noisy, particularly if used in a bedroom at night. My main negative about this fan is again if used in a bedroom at night, the digital display is very bright and illuminates the room, which is not what you want when trying to sleep. If the design had been tested properly in all situations then this should have been picked up as a slight problem. With all the technology I would have thought that when it had been set to what speed etc you want, the digital display should fade and then as soon as any of the buttons are pressed on the remote control they should light up again.

I spent a long time deciding whether to spend the money and buy this fan and now I wish I hadn't waited so long! Well done Dyson, you have made the perfect answer to hot days and muggy nights. I initially bought this product to help with my 'night sweats' and indeed it worked perfectly, producing just the right amount of cooling breeze and a very pleasant 'white noise' hum which lulled me to sleep. However, once my daughter had a go with it during the night, she now keeps it firmly in her room and it enables her to have a relaxing and restful full nights sleep.During the day, I carry it around with me from room to room, my new best friend, and I took it to work one day and experienced a lot of fan envy!This air multiplier is,

This fan is fantastic! I no longer dread the hot summer nights as I now have the fan on alongside my bed and I am kept lovely and cool all night. The air is smooth and cool and the fan is practically silent on the low settings. Put it on level 4 and you here the fan but it is a low hum and I could certainly sleep with it but I only need level 1. The timer is a wonderful and the remote control makes life so much easier with not having to get out of bed to switch it off. Yes the fan is expensive but compared to an ordinary fan, there is no competition. As I will have the hot flushes for some years to come, this was a worthy investment.

I bought an AM06 Air Multiplier in May last year and I can honestly say its been a lifesaver so far. It really has cooled me down when I needed it to and its nice and quiet and the air flow is powerful yet very smooth plus it also doesn't guzzle power like a traditional fan does. I Bought the AM06 at the end of may last year as I was having a big operation on my wrist in June, so I would have a cast on for a while after it, which was likely to cause itching. However thanks to the Dyson AM06, my wrist was kept nice and cool so itching was minimised. It even helps me get to sleep some nights if I happen to get too hot, just set the fan going on a nice speed and then set the timer and your sorted.
