To be up-front, this isn't the first item I have purchased from Dyson having previously purchased a V11 Vacuum and several vacuum's over the years [now all gifted to family members who still use them]. Expectations of quality was therefore high.First fan/air purifier - our existing upright generic fan needed replacing, with the recent change to hot weather we needed something that would "work" & another consideration was my health condition for which air quality has a major impact. After some research my partner and I decided on the Pure Cool Tower, order placed, the usual email communication from Dyson followed [help guides, links etc] delivery date set.Excellent follow up and delivery date and time notifications received and adhered to.Set up clear, easy and without incident, app downloaded [useful], link up straight forward and no issues. Not disappointed! You do get what you pay for - quality and function has been flawless, operation by phone [app] or included remote control have had no problems. The ability to control area covered [rotation/direction] has been good, air movement [strength] is good - noise levels not unexpected [no louder than our previous generic upright fan] but the flow of air is much better in comparison. We purchased during a period of extreme heat, the Cool Air would remain on all day [no gentle warm up period - thrown in at the deep end!] As expected has been preforming well. Air quality has improved - two cats [excellent filters], general house hold smells [cooking/food] all register on the notification read out and a constant read out of levels shows changes/levels [as filtration improves]. Take's up less floor space than the previous fan, easier to clean and more pleasing to the eye! What really put this in my mind when considering purchasing... attending a hospital appointment and seeing the Cool Air on ward helping to maintain temperature [this was prior to the Covid 19 situation] but the thought stuck there.... easy to clean and maintain but most of all does exactly what it is designed to do and doing it well.I notice on the review form it states "as a registered user I received a free product to help facilitate this review" - this was only noticed after I completed the review [not altered - except for adding this clarification] and to be clear no free product has been received [nor expected] purchased outright and the review supplied is an honest open review.

When I received the unit, it was securely packed and easy to unwrap and subsequently assemble. The individual components we clear - and although I could assemble without referring to the enclosed instruction guide, I did so just to make sure I didn't miss anything.I have set up the Pure Cool tower in my office - we use some plants to keep the air processed naturally - and have some fans on during the warmer days - but I immediately noticed a difference in the ambient air on turning the purifier. Maybe this was psycological? As it is - I love the idea of filtering out the particles - and the glass hepa and carbon filters are very simple to fit - and I'm looking forward to seeing the impact in the spring when the first pollens are around.I struggle with late onset hayfever, and irritation from pollens with my contact lenses - it will be interesting to see how much of a difference there is.On looks - the fan is arresting and there have been comments already on this. This is a quiet item (although you can certainly hear it on 10) - wonderfully calming - the night mode is even quieter. I still have to try out all of the modes - but I like that you can redirect the flow to point backwards - and the 350 degree oscillation is marvellous.I loaded up the app for my iPhoneX and this worked immediately. I followed the set up instructions and my phone immediately found the unit. I had a few connection lost moments - but I think this may have been more down to my WiFi having some connectivity issues - and since that day it has worked much better. The unit carried out a firmware update successfully. Which was indicated on the display. Talking of which, the display is lovely and clear and the graph is reassuring and eye-catching. I'm very much looking forward to looking at the data over time feature. I'm a data specialist - my business is all about data - and here we have data being collected in realtime about my environment - welcome to the Internet of Things.I will be continuing my learning with the Dyson Pure/Cool Tower. I can see this becoming a vital part of any place I spend time. Well done - a great machine!

We've been using the Dyson Pure Cool™ tower now for just under two months and once again we are very impressed right down to the eco way it was packaged. It has a very good build quality whilst still being light and easy to move around, with great attention to the smallest detail such as the fan returning to centre when you switch it off (which is surprisingly useful) and the display brightness auto adjusting in response to the ambient light. The biggest surprise for us is that the Pure Cool™ tower has shown us how clean our air was already, despite living on a main road. That said, and not to be outdone or made redundant, this Dyson has managed to clean the air in our house even further so it not only smells cleaner, but feels cleaner. We are also very impressed with how quickly the Pure Cool™ tower detects new pollutants such as spray-on deodorants or perfume (even when applied in another room), how quickly it responds and what a fantastic job the fan does at removing those pollutants from the air. We are slightly disappointed that the Pure Cool™ tower doesn’t do a better job at reducing the amount of dust that settles on surfaces, although as said before we do live on a main road which will increase the work the fan has to do. The range of fan speeds is perfect; with the low speeds such as 1 & 2 still provide enough cooling action at night whilst being so quite that I can still get off to sleep. Personally I think the night time mode is superfluous as the display already auto adjusts and you can set the fan speed to one that you are comfortable with. Do be mindful that the mains plug/transformer does get rather warm when using the fan on full speed. Overall a great product, which managed to allay all of the apprehension we had when deciding if we could justify spending the extra money, rather than buying yet another run of the mill cheaper fan. Honestly, I would have one in every room if I could.

I’ve had the Dyson Pure Cool Link for 2 weeks now and I cannot speak highly enough of this machine. I’ve noticed such a difference in the room already. It is very easy to set up and use straight from the box. I have had the machine set to ‘auto’ since I set it up and I love how it constantly monitors the air quality, reading different levels of pollution, small particles gases and humidity. I was amazed at how quick the Pure Cool Link ‘fired up’ after spraying aftershave near it. I have suffered from asthma for around 25 year now and I can honestly say, I’ve seen an improvement in my health since using this machine. It really works! The build quality of this product is what you would expect from Dyson, very good! It is reasonably quiet when it’s on, and even has a night mode, reducing the brightness of the display and lowering the intensity of the fan. I’ve never had trouble sleeping with the Purifier on.The machine oscillates from 45degrees of motion all the way up to 350 degrees of motion offering a wide range of purification depending on room size. The display on the Dyson is very clear and tells you what it is doing along with the air quality, temperature and humidity. I especially like how it gives youu the status of the filters too.The app for your phone is so easy to use and is connected with Bluetooth or wi-fi. It gives you so much information that the Dyson has collected and shows it on easy to read graphs. The difffused air mode is very handy too, purifying the air, without actually blowing on you. A lot of thought has gone into this product, even down to the magnet ontop so the remote sits snug and looks a part of the machine. I’m so pleased I have the Dyson Pure Cool Link, I don’t think I could do without it now.

I am no stranger to Air Purifiers. Suffering from hayfever and living in a rural location with a massive field outside my back garden, and being generally concerned about the air means I have had several different purifiers, from several different manufacturers, and having only taken delivery of my new Dyson Pure Cool Tower today, I am very impressed, it literally bets the unit it replaced (which is a massive white box. I also own a AM02 tower fan which is before the quiet mark was awarded, and so I was concerned about noise levels, I needn't have been. Its totally fine, and I am more than happy with the noise this pure cool produces. When its on the lower settings 1 - 4, you dont even notice it.On 1 its literally silent, and it'll only escalate to a higher speed when it detects something iffy in the air, which it will then work to remove, and then drop back down to lower levels anyway! I also love the face that you can set the air to come out of the units back so the cooling effect of the fan isnt there! I have used the Dyson app, to set up a schedule so the system will enter night mode at 9pm, the screen will dim and the speed will not go above level 4, its then set to re-enter normal settings at 7am, as i'll either be up, away at at the gym since 5:30 or getting up for work at 7 anyway. You can set the days, and adjust all the settings to your hearts content within the app, and then save the schedule. I literally opened the box and set this up at 5:40pm, and within minutes of setup the air in my bedroom smelt cleaner, and my previous unit had been running all day before I unpacked my Dyson If you are considering whether or not to get this unit, do it, you will not be disappointed in my opinion!

I’ve been very impressed with the performance of the two Dyson fans I've bought over the years but this is the first purifier fan I’ve owned and have got to say it’s a massive step forward. The design is excellent (as you’d expect from Dyson) and having a good sized LCD allows you to always see the current air quality when you select that option from the info button on the remote control.Talking of which, the info button appears to be missing from the Dyson Link app so you need to use the remote to cycle through the display options but over time I’ve settled on having the current air quality as the default display and have not used the remote since. This fan seems even quieter than the Cool towerfan and the Hot + Cool jet focus fan heater I have and the fact you can set the oscillation up to 350 degrees is really useful when it’s positioned more centrally in a room. From the moment I took it out the box it also struck me how much more sturdy and solid it felt.It looks much more stylish than my other fans and doesn’t look out of place in any room it’s in.One of the most useful features I’ve found is being able to direct the airflow so rather than it blowing cool air forwards into the room, it blows cool air backwards via the slots on the side. It’s a small observation but I’m glad the power cord is now white as they are dark grey on the two other white fans I have which didn’t go with the sleek design in my opinion. What I wasn’t expecting is just how smart and efficient it is at detecting and removing various cooking smells and making a cleaner and fresher environment throughout my home.

Having been an owner of a Dyson Pure Cool Link (desktop) previously, we were keen to see how the new model compared. We have the new model TP04 (tower) Pure Cool Link. The build quality is still the excellent quality you would expect from any Dyson product. Sturdy, and made with quality materials. At first glance there are no huge differences in how the machine looks. However, when the machine is plugged in and switched on, that's when the changes become apparent.Firstly, the small display on the previous model has been replaced with a larger LCD display that enables you to cycle through various modes. This is a big improvement on the older model, as you can now easily see what the machine is doing, and how it is performing. There are 2 other major performance improvements that I immediately noticed with the newer model. 1) The Oscillation. This can now be set to various degrees of "turn", and can turn 350 degrees, rather than the limited oscillation the previous model had.2) There is now a "diffused air mode". What this allows you to do is still clean and purify the air, but not necessarily having to have the machine blowing in a Fan mode. The machine still connects to the Dyson Link app, and there is a wealth of information that can be learned from using this. Outdoor air quality and temperature, in addition to how the quality and temperature of the air in your own room/house, to name just a few.I would certainly recommend this new and improved model to anyone, and especially for those who have any issues or allergies such as asthma/hayfever etc.

As an owner of the previous model I was curious to see what had changed with the new release. The new unit, as with the previous models, is simple to set up on the Dyson iOS app and is easy to operate. As we use the purifiers mostly at night due to both myself and parter having numerous allergies between us, we were very please to see that the new model retained the screen / device lighting dimming and the low level of noise when in night mode. This has been even more reduced by the new feature where by the unit can just purify without the cool air flow, which makes the unit almost silent. The new unit feeds back more detail of the air quality than the previous model by breaking the air quality down into its contributing factors, providing more infomation which can be viewed on the app or small screen on the unit when running in day mode.As with previous models the air flow is fully adjustable and a good flow and cooling effect is achievable, but can also be left in auto when just wanting to maintain air quality. As with all Dyson products the unit is a good balance of function and style. Our only slight criticisms are the noise the unit makes when changing from cooling flow to purification only mode which causes a weird creaking noise, which if scheduled wrong could interrupt sleep. Also the lack of a cable tidy similar to other Dyson products would be useful.Overall very happy with the new purifier and would strongly recommend.

I was sent the Dyson Pure Cool to test. I have two of the Dyson desk fans at home already which I use in my children’s bedrooms. The new model has lots of information feed back about the air quality; particlulate matter which includes dust, mound pollen, smoke, bacteria and allergens; nitrogen dioxide and other oxidising gases that can be harmful; volatile organic compounds which are odours which can be harmful from products such as cleaning products and paint; indoor temperature; indoor humidity and remaining filter life. It also shows the WiFi connection because there is an app for your phone where you can monitor all the readings and even control the fan. This is the one area I have struggled with as I found it difficult to connect the fan to the app. However this doesn’t impair the performance of the fan. It is great at cooling down a room on a hot day or evening. In about 10 minutes it cooled my bedroom from 25c to 22c just on fan speed 2 and reduced the humidity from 70 to 60. I’ve used it on the auto setting and left it on all night without disturbing my sleep. My son has eczema and I use the desk version of the fan in his room all year round to clean the air. He sleeps well with it on. It is simple to use and the remote control is magnetic so you can keep it attached to the machine on the top. It’s quite large but it’s design makes it easy to find a space for it without it being intrusive in the room. It’s essy to clean too.

Living in the middle of London with small children within shouting distance of a busy road, obviously air quality is a huge issue to me. This product gives great peace of mind that at least inside our flat the air is clean. We own the previous model of this product as well, which I liked because unlike a conventional fan it wasn't dangerous for little children. The best innovation of the current model is the ability to have the air blow backwards so that the air doesn't rush past you when its cold but is still filtering the air, which meant we could still have it on even when it was so cold there was snow outside. This came in handy when the cooking went a bit wrong but it was too cold to open the windows. No doubt in summer though, switching to air blowing forward, it will also come in handy as a fan. I also like the monitoring graphs that you can view on your phone with breakdown of pollutants - small & big particulates & NO2 (wasn't sure it the previous model was taking out the NO2) - not only peace of mind but endlessly fascinating working out what causes the fluctuations (think our oven needs a clean!). I like to have the air filter on all the time on auto because it switches itself off if its not needed and cranks right up when needed. Delighted to own this model. My husband's only criticism is that maybe if could come in other colours as the white is a bit jarring in our room.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago when we were having another small heatwave. I have also been suffering with hot flushes at night, which is why I was shopping around for another fan.I already had a fan in the bedroom that was keeping my partner awake due to the noise, so this was an important factor. I also felt my old fan was affecting my sinuses so I felt I had a cold every morning.I spoke to an expert in the store who explained the Dyson would clean the air while being used and would also be very quiet. I used the demo fan in store and was satisfied with the workings and the speeds, however on reflection I should have stood further away from the fan during the demo.I find the fan needs to be on the top speed for me to get any relief at all.I found the sound of the Dyson much less noisy than my old fan, but it did cut out any noise from the landing and next door rooms so it wasn't very quiet. My partner also went to another room due to the noise. I can't confirm the Dyson helped with my sinuses completely, but I did feel my noise was less blocked in the mornings. The filter action wasn't evident as the machine didn't appear to go into the red, but stayed in the green while I use it.I cant say the fan was worth the cost at all and would suggest people shop around before considering a purchase.

I bought this product on Monday and it arrived the next day. On top of this I was offered a range of delivery slots which made the process very easy & straightforward to arrange somebody being in. Once the product arrived, I was initially impressed by how well packaged the unit was & therefore how unlikely it was to be damaged in transportation. The purification action is of excellent quality and the app allows you to monitor its affects straight away. The pairing of the device to a phone will be straight forward for most but may be more difficult for users with less familiarity with wireless devices and using apps. That being said, the app is excellent once set up and allows for easy controlling of the device. As has been pointed out before, the "cooling" element of the device does not reduce the temperature, it merely fans you with air so that you feel cooler. Whilst this is what you would, in general, expect from a fan, the Dyson adverts do seem to suggest that they do cool the room & so I can see why people would be confused. As a fan, the unit lacks the punch of some more standard tower fans but is more than powerful enough for our flat. The varying fan speeds and night time display options are also good, and allow it to be on overnight without disrupting your sleep with noise.

Arrived in readiness for the BBQ Summer (yes I know), initially living in the Midlands I was bemused as to why I had received a fan, our warm days are few and far between but my family suffer from allergic rhinitis (hayfever all year round) and I was keen to see if it would minimise the pollen/dust etc in the main room. I understand the need for a separate remote control if you don’t have a smart phone but have found it to be very weak, I could press the buttons by the time I have got close enough for it to work. Now all the positives I can monitor the air quality and temp of the room from anywhere in the world, and if necessary pop it on for a while. It is quiet, doesn’t send every piece of paper in the room flying and I have definitely noticed a difference in our rhinitis symptoms. Of course as with all Dyson products it is the topic of every conversation when it is spotted. I run it for an hour a day even when the house is cool; reversing the flow is great for this, removes the air debris doesn’t cool. And longer when the weather is warm (last two days). If it somehow removed airborn odours that would be even better but in fairness this is a great product and one I now can’t imagine living without. I would and have recommended this product to family and friends.

This is an impressive fan that does so much more than just move the air around. It comes almost ready assembled (although the filter covers do need a firm push to get them to seat properly). In use it is extremely quiet, particularly on the night setting. There is a wide range of fan speeds from very gentle to gale force. The ability to direct the airflow upwards at 45 degrees is useful if you do not want the airflow aimed directly at you. As with our previous Dyson fan it manages to cool the air rather than just move hot air around as is the case with conventional fans. The air purification feature displays the current air conditions including temperature, humidity, particulate and nitrous oxide contamination. It is surprising how the humidity can vary in a domestic room throughout the day. It will, no doubt, become even more useful when the pollen levels start to rise and the nights (hopefully) become warmer. The remote control means you don't even need to get out of your chair! It can also be controlled remotely from your mobile by using the Dyson app, this will also give you a record of air quality in much the same way as the app that comes with your favorite fitness tracker. Overall this product comes highly recommended.

I am really enjoying having this air purifier and I think it will really come into it's own in the summer when having the air flow across your face on a summers night will be perfect (it does have the facility so you don't have to have the draft). Right now though, there are still many reasons to have and use this machine. I am using it in our bedroom and when I went into another room the air just didn't feel as clean/fresh, it felt like there was more oxygen in the room that had been purified. When the machine is in auto-mode, it comes in if cooking smells have made their way up and are in the air which is great. A fab feature is having the app on my phone, I can change the settings, switch it on/off from where ever I am. It tells me the room temperature, outside temperature, air quality, etc at all times. For this tower version, it is just important to decide on where you want it, in relation to it's size and power point. It is larger than I thought it would be, but I hadn't read the dimensions, the plus point of this makes it very stable. It suits my OCD ways by always centralizing when it finishes and the remote control magnetically sits very neatly on top. Overall, a fantastic machine.
