First and foremost, the Dyson Pure Cool Me will likely be purchased to provide cooling…And it does this exceptionally well. There are 10 speeds available and I could focus the air flow exactly where I wanted it - and with great precision too. I really liked what was called the Dyson Core Flow technology, which is a dome that I adjusted very simply with my hand. It doesn’t have a lot of movement/travel, but it’s precise and allowed me to direct the air flow very accurately. I found the airflow to be very effective when set at just speed 3, but it will still go all the way up to 10 for when you really need to cool down fast.…but close on the heels of providing cooling is the purification option…Andthis is very likely to be the unique and most important reason for purchasing this fan over any other fan for many people. It’s all very well using a fan to blow air at your face or body to cool down, but what I really appreciated was the noticeable difference in the quality of the air that I got directed at me. This was as a result of the purified air that is generated by the Dyson Core Air Flow’s filter. Apparently, there is a sealed filter (combining an activated carbon and glass HEPA layer) which captures gases and ultrafine particles that are in the air. I regularly feel “bunged up” and I’m aware of having mild allergies that affect breathing through my nose, but after an hour or so of having the fan blowing towards my face, I felt like I was breathing more easily through my nose. I also noticed over the course of the first day that I sneezed a lot less too. Whilst I’m not an asthma sufferer, it does come with an Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certification.Perfect for my office desk…I work from a dedicated home-based office and have been working with the fan on my desk for the past few weeks. Although I have previously used a standard desktop fan, to get any cooling effect I have to have it on full speed but the noise it makes means it has always been impossible to take a telephone call with it turned on. Turning it on and off for telephone calls is a hassle and I just get hot all over again during the call. As I said earlier, speed 3 is effective but barely audible - and I found I could even go up speed five whilst on telephone calls, without it having any effect on the conversation I am having.…but it’s even better for the bedroom…And this is because it sits perfectly on my bedside table and really helps to cool me down, whilst not making it difficult to sleep because of the noise. My wife particularly likes the Dyson Pure Cool Me as it was very effective at helping to make her more comfortable when she suffers her hot flushes during the night. I’m happy too because she sleeps better and doesn’t disturb me!Other useful features that I appreciated included…It can be set to oscillate silently through 70 degrees - which is enough to keep the body cool at night; it has a timer that can be set to turn the fan off after 30 minutes and up to 8 hours later; and the smart little remote controller can be attached magnetically to the body of the fan - so it will always be at hand until you need it next time. Although the filter would generally only need to be changed approximately every 12 months, I found it very easy to take out - and the little LCD screen even tells me how much filter life there is left.Like all other Dyson products that I have ever purchased the Dyson Pure Cool Me is aesthetically pleasing to have in my home and fulfils the purpose it was designed for flawlessly. I love it!

I bought the Dyson Pure Cool Me fan and purifier recently, and I must admit, I already have a few Dyson fans and purifiers that I love - so I had shoppers guilt and wondered whether I REALLY needed another one. But I’ve been working from home a lot more than normal with the lockdown, and my desk sits in a window nook, so even on a 24 degree day, it’s been feeling quite warm and I thought it might be time to invest in a desk fan. Then I saw this one was on sale and figured I’d give it a go seeing as I love my other Dyson products so much - I also know how generous Dyson are with returns and trial periods, so I thought that if it didn’t impress me as much as my other ones I could always send it back. But let me tell you - there’s no way this is being sent back! After one 25 degree day of working at my desk with this fan sitting next to me - I am hooked. I felt such a difference! It’s such a nice stream of air to have on your face all day. It feels just like a normal breeze which is amazing. Sounds odd I know, but its not like the air flow you get from a regular spinning fan which can be irritating, and blow your pages around everywhere. It’s such “fresh” purified air, and I like that it can be set to oscillate. It’s also so quiet. It can be on when I’m on zoom calls and Skype calls with not problem. The design is so compact and cute too. It’s very easy to control the direction of the airflow as well - much more than I had anticipated with the design. The remote is great too; I’d seen a lot of reviews complaining about the magnet at the front that holds the remote in place but it’s honestly not an issue. Just like any magnet you need to line the two up and it sticks just fine. You just need to make sure the buttons face the fan, not the outside. The only downsides for me is that it doesn’t have the air quality measure on the screen display that my other ones do, nor can you change the amount of oscillation. For example, 90 degrees, 180 degrees etc. BUT, it’s not enough to bother me really, I think it’s just because I enjoy those functions on my other ones. Highly recommend. Great as a desk fan, or a fan to have by your couch or bedside. The oscillating means it can cover your whole body with air flow when you are sleeping if it’s sat on your bedside table which I didn’t expect. I actually find this better than my floor ones for sleeping. Even with the other floor fans I have from Dyson, I still think this little compact personal fan is an essential. 5 stars. Shipping was a breeze - arrived the following day, within my requested time slot.

I have several Dyson fans and air purifiers and find that they not only keep me cool and healthy they are extremely quiet too.I have been wanting to try the pure cool me fan for a while and did not realise how good it was until I started using it. Not only is it silent, cool and direct to where I want it, it also cleans the air from pollutants and smells .I set the timer for 2 hours and set it off nice and low to keep me cool at night as i go to sleep. The display turns dark automatically as the environment goes dark so it doesn’t keep you awake. It also oscillates so the beam of cool air can be directed to move as required, also very quietly.Bring able to move the beam of air around by sliding the front of the fan is awesome and ensures it goes directly where it is needed without disturbing anyone or anything else. From opening the box to using it took around 2 minutes. The filter is already installed and all i had to do was fit the power lead and turn it on.I have several Dyson fans and air purifiers and find that they not only keep me cool and healthy they are extremely quiet too.I have been wanting to try the pure cool me fan for a while and did not realise how good it was until I started using it. I initially bought this to have beside my bed for muggy nights - and for that scenario is performs perfectly. The fact you can have the fan on a bedside cabinet of any height and then angle the airflow means you can get it exactly where you want it. It’s not noisy to sleep next to when I have it on level 4 and then during the day when I want to cool my small bedroom I pop it on a higher setting of 9 or 10. Although this isn’t marketed as a fan to cool a room, I can feel the cool air from across the other side of my small bedroom so it works for me and my setting. The filters are expensive to replace but that being said I have noticed a small reduction in the pet smells I can often get when my dog has been indoors on a hot day.I wouldn’t say it purified and deodorises the entire room like one of the larger fan units would but for me and my home it is good. I do however wish this fan could also be controlled via the dyson app like the more expensive units can. Although this unit is cheaper it seems silly to have the same LCD screen but not have the mobile app functionality when this is still an expensive fan when compared to others. I think this fan would suit those wishing to be cooled when sleeping on hot nights, working at a desk in hot weather or general cooling for very small rooms or specific work spaces. The larger units function more like a normal fan with widespread cooling but this fan allows for specific targeted airflow. It is expensive but so far I have been happy with performance of the fan and the fact I could pay with 0% finance is good. The only other very small gripe is that I expected the remote control to feel slightly better quality than it is. It looks like a cold hard metal but it Infact more of a sturdy plastic. It is still a very chic, well designed remote that magnetically clicks to the front but I think it could be higher quality.

Firstly make no mistake this is not an air-conditioner, its just a fan, but a rather lovely one at that. It can get quite loud on maximum setting but at level 2 it does quite nicely keeping me cool at night without keeping me awake. The looks are super and although some reviewers have remarked on it feeling light and flimsy, to them I just say stick a couple of bricks in it and see if that makes you feel any happier. The little LED screen is cute and quite novel to have on a fan, but at the price, one would expect a few extra features. Considering the quality of the design I was surprised that an ESP8266 (wi-fi enabling chip at almost negligible cost) was not included. This would have provided Alexa /Google functionality which considering how small and how easily the remote control is lost really is rather a drawback. They do have a magnet on the inside of the main body of the fan which the remote attaches to, but its not nearly strong enough a definitely one neodymium short of a decent connection. This sort of gimmick is quite frankly like putting a little pouch for your remote control on the side of your telly (and honestly who ever uses that?)All-in-all, though super expensive for what some might rightly say is effectively a desk fan. I am very happy with this product. Its filters have helped me with my allergies at night (assuming I keep the windows closed), It looks 'fan'tastic (sorry couldn't help that one) sitting in my bedroom and although pricey makes any room look a little more sophisticated.

I've owned a Dyson Hot and Cold Air for many years and whilst the whole family like it, It can be a bit noisy on full blast. So it was a really pleasant surprise to find that this Pure Cool Me model is really really quiet with the added benefit of purified air.The main usage was going to be for my sons bedroom. Not only does it get hot in there but he suffers badly from allergies and breathing issues so we are constantly dusting in there. In the course of a week it actually felt like we were dusting less but I guess time will tell and above all may son really likes it. Because its also nice and compact I also wanted to try it on my office desk. Mainly because I've given up on noisy fans.Could have done with some nice hot weather but it is the first fan that I could use and still make phone calls without it becoming a big distraction. The only downside is my son has taken it back and now I'm going to have to buy another one for me!I'll also have to investigate whether they do a heat/cooling versioning this model as would love that. The remote and displays on the unit are a nice added bonus and very useful. I love the way you can store the remote as it magnetically attaches to the unit so you don't lose it. The display despite being so small is really clear and easy to read and gives all info you would need including filter usage which is really helpful.Hard to fault the unit but as mentioned I'd love to know if there isa cool/hot version but overall I really do like this and very happy with it :)

It was easy to set up; plug in and go. It’s compact but powerful. As with the other Dyson products we have it feels like a quality product, only concern is around the airflow control which you manually push up or down to control airflow direction – time will tell how this will last but works OK now. I find the remote control particularly handy to control airspeed, especially when working from home, able to adjust when I receive a call. At low setting can barely notice it’s on. However, it’s a little noisy at higher settings (6 and over).Whilst it filters the air, there is no information on current air quality levels (as with Dyson Pure Cool™ desk purifier fan). Also not able to control via app or view current air quality and filter status via app but I can live without that given its a cheaper model. It does give a status on the filters, so I’ll know when to change them.We were aware this was only a fan but the CoolMe name (with cool in blue text) could suggest it outputs cool air. That said I wouldn’t invest this amount of money in a product without doing a bit of research. Whilst it doesn’t cool the air, as a fan it functions perfectly well and does cool you down when in contact with the airflow.

Having at home a big version of this fan I knew what I was getting with this new one. I like the design a lot and is quiet compact (compare with the full size one). Airflow is strong for the size of the machine and is adjustable to a more focus steam. Although I have finally managed to understand how the new flow system works I don’t really feel there was any need to re-design this element compare to previous models. That said, although it takes a while to understand how it works it is more customisable, specially if you have this fan in a desk like me. Coming from a model with wifi I really miss that in this model, is a shame that the price point doesn’t allow it. I love to use Siri to control other Dyson products. The remote tho is as good as usual, small and it has a great range.Otherwise construction is solid, as usual with the brand, and the screen offers a bit more of information that just a number. Like the old models I’m curious to see the long term benefits of the filter and how quickly the filters need to be replaced. So far, very happy with this item. If you need a compact machine to not only refresh but as well clean the air around you this is a great product.

I own several Dyson fans and this one is just as powerful and quiet as the others. As usual, great design and is quite compact, so it can be placed on smaller tables without looking too dominating and it has a great range, so you don't need to be on top of it to feel the air. A few minor niggles:The plug is ENORMOUS, so you can't hide the power cable very easily, and the cable itself is quite short. You could use an extension lead of course, but DYSON don't recommend it, so that's a little frustrating.Unlike some other DYSON products, it isn't app enabled so although they go to great pains to emphasise it is filtering the toxins from the air, you can't monitor it doing so.As it isn't app enabled, you have to use the remote to change the fan's settings. This sits snugly on the front of the unit and is magnetised. It could be a slightly more powerful magnet so it snaps onto the front rather than you having to place it there, as I could see it being lost behind wardrobes etc if it doesn't connect properly. As mentioned above, minor niggles for what is ultimately a great fan. Looking forward to weather heating up so I can exploit it's features properly.

This was a frustration purchase as a result of lack of sleep and being allergic to everything. I have it in my bedroom and have been using it for a couple of weeks.Good points:It does keep the room cool, and if you have it on the lowest setting at night, and set on still as opposed to rotate, it doesn’t make too much noise. I am still waking up but not sneezing nearly as much or hard.Could do better. While I appreciate this is a personal fan and not a room fan, it would have been good if it had a clock timer so you could set it to come on an hour before going to bed, in order to cool the room area. When set on a higher setting, it does really cool the room down well. Instead,I have to remember to turn it on before I go to bed to cool my room and clear the air.Not so good. The plug is huge. I mean it’s the size of a brick. So big that it’s difficult to plug it in to the restricted space where my wall socket is. A plug this size is difficult to place in the restricted areas around beds and bedside tables. Would I recommend? Yes, but think what you require it for and where you are going to place it before purchasing, because of it’s size.

Dyson provided me with this fan specifically for me to review. I must admin I had already considered purchasing one as I suffer from rhinitis (all-year round) mostly due to dust mites, mould spores, pollen and the like.I have set it up by my bed and have it running all night on low speed and boy has it made a difference to my sleep. Where I used to wake every few hours I now get a full nights kip (which in itself is amazing) and no longer wake with a stuffy nose that I need to immediately blow. Sleeping with a gentle breeze of clean purified air (which also feels cooler than the surrounding air by some amazing feat) has become addictive and now use this Dyson fan everything I go to bed.It is also very quiet (which is helpful) and unlike previous Dyson fans that I have owned - it does not have any bright lights on it so my room remains nice and dark. The remote control it comes with is very handy and attached easily to the side using a magnet. The only unknown thing at the moment is how long the filter will last with me running it all night, every night. Time will tell.Other than that, I wholly recommend this product :-)

I replaced my AM06 with one of these as the compact size meant it made more sense for my desk use, plus it's nice to have the purifier in a room I spend most of the day in! This one is much less likely to be knocked over. Airflow probably isn't quite as much as the AM06 at equivalent noise levels but the noise this one makes is almost more tolerable as it's just sounds like air, less of a hum. To be expected without the amplifier design though. I'd quite like a setting in between level 1 and 2 and 2 can be too much sometimes and 1 not quite enough. 1 is almost silent though and if it's not too hot in the room, the gentlest of breezes this level makes is very pleasant in a desk environment.Level 2 is fine for all but the hottest of days of the year when you might forget about noise and just crank it up!The design and user experience is excellent. It's stunning to look at and the animated colour display makes is a nice touch. Quality control wasn't quite there as had to return it twice to get one that wasn't damaged and didn't make a funny noise! Dyson dealt with this no trouble at all with next day swap overs though.

We have a Dyson Tower in the living room and this little machine is perfect in the bedroom as the nights warm up. I’m also using it at the moment working from home without aircon and keeps my little office lovely and cool. I was really impressed by the power and reach of this machine, small but powerful and keeps us cool all through the night. It’s much quieter than our old fan we had in the bedroom and much more effective, and a fraction of the size. It’s also great to know it’s cleaning the air while you sleep, especially as pollen season is upon us. As you’d expect, the design is superb with lovely little touches, the remote is magnetic and clips to the front of the machine and the LCD screen on the device turns off when you turn the lights off for the night,so you’re not disturbed by any glow. Only downside, and I’m having to dig deep, is that it would be nice if it connected to the Dyson app like the other machines so you can monitor the pollutants the machine is picking up, but it’s doing the job and that’s what counts to me. Would highly recommend for a powerful small machine that doesn’t take up space.

The Dyson Pure Cool Me fan is the perfect size for using on a desk, table or in the bedroom. It works almost straight from the box - you only need to plug it in. Handy little remote control which allows you to change the airflow, oscillation, timer etc and being magnetic it fits neatly to the front of the fan for storage. I found the fan to be very quiet when running on any speed up to around 6 (which is high enough for most) but it gets slightly noisier when on the highest speeds. Most of the time I find that setting 4 is more than adequate to provide a good flow of cool, clean air and the slight noise is not intrusive. Like the fact that you can set the timer and then forget about it as it switches itself off.The filters are supposed to last about 12 months based on 12 hours of use per day but I haven't used it long enough to know whether this is the case. It's unlikely most people would use it for 12 hours even in summer so would expect the filters to last longer than stated. The quality of the product more than makes up for the price. Another great product from Dyson.

This is a great little fan, with lots of features and whilst it is not AC it is pretty cool. Now of course, here in Blighty we only need AC for a few days a year so this little wonder is perfect for giving some fresh cool air whilst working at your desk. The power settings are from 1 to 10 and 10 is pretty powerful, whereas 1 is almost silent. Of course, as you would expect from Dyson there is no spinning finger destroyer as with traditional fans and this is quite simply, cool on your desk! The fan oscillates like a dream, has a timer (30mins, 1hr, 2hr, 4hr, or 8hr), nice little LCD to show what it is doing, and has the coolest of remote controls, which sticks to the fan unit magnetically. How cool. The direction of the flow is also cool with a sliding piece in the middle of the fan, although it is maybe not the most obvious way with the little graphic not being too clear. All in all, this is expensive for sure but like most Dyson products it is truly worth it! Effective and cool so what more can you ask for!
