When I got this out of the box I thought I was going to be disappointed as the stand is short and so at full height the fan only reaches about 1m from the floor but as it cannot be returned I thought hey-ho, I will stand it on something.Once I plugged it in all my concerns dissaperaed, this is a strong fan and is deceptively small. Also I realised that although most pedestal fans are taller, I don't actually need the extra height and as it can be tilted up if required there would need to be a specific requirement for a taller one for it to be necessary. I would normally only spend around £30 on a fan but mine broke and (due to a heat wave) all options for this price were out of stock.

being a bionaire, i was expecting better quality, hence the four stars. the motor housing, fins and grill was far better quality on the fan it has replaced. i wanted a more compact fan, as i live in a one bedroom flat and storage is an issue. this fits that bill perfectly, as it will collapse down to a very small foot print. i am hoping that the motor is something special and that it will last. the basis of the fan is a great idea (adjustable stand and desktop option), but i would rather pay a little extra for better quality! the fan performs well, and i am kept cool from about 10 feet away, on the number 1 setting. the noise level is higher than some plastic models out there,

Bough as a gift for my mother during this hot summer weve had recently, although smaller than what i thought it would be its still very nice and doesnt take over the room. It can easily be put anywhere in the room without getting in the way as its not too big. Very plaesed with this purchase, it was fairly easy to put together from the box when received although it all came in a lot more parts than i thought. Lovely stand, good quality, easily adjustable to a size that suits, i would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good quality fan. It looks quite fancy too :) I'm glad I got it in the sale.

Arrived this morning, just in time for the predicted heat wave over the next few days. Was a little bit fiddly to put together, (especially the screw to fix the blades onto the fan head as it's a weird angle, and the teeny screw to fix the cage together) but not too bad. It's pretty powerful, and surprisingly quiet.Lost a star as it's quite short - was expecting the usual height for this type of fan (obviously didn't read measurements properly!) That said, it's probably more stable being shorter.Overall I'm happy with my purchase which I'm sure is going to get plenty of use over the coming days!

Bought it because some of the reviews mentioned it was quite powerful and it is. There are three speeds and it starts on the fastest, then goes slower. You can put either of two legs on, one to use as a desk fan and the other as a sort of floor fan, though this makes it only about two foot tall so really it needs to be in front of something like the TV or standing on a stool. Overall it's very good for keeping cool, I use one in the kitchen but have to turn it off when I'm cooking as it blows the gas out and another for work where I really enjoy the benefit.

I bought this fan it is a solid fan quality metal , strong . You can have it on a desk use as desk fan or stand . Safe for kids room not like the cheap plastic ones that ive previously purchased . That eventually come apart . Value for money . I did think it was going to be bigger than it was but I didn't check the size . However like I said powerful and compact is how I'd describe it . Looks good too not like the ugly white fans . That get in ure way . Round compact base is trip free hazard too lol .!Daily use due to eczema keeps room temp just right .

I bought this a week ago and found it easy to put together - it comes with a heavy base to which you can attach either a small desk-top stand or the longer extendible stand. I chose the extendible one as I wanted the option to put it on a desk or on the floor. Its got 3 speed settings and even the lowest speed creates a lovely cooling breeze. It can be set to static or to oscilate side-to-side. I would recommend this fan although I have had to tell my younger children not to touch it while its on.

Bought two of these as fed up with cheap supermarket fans - relatively easy to assemble and look very stylish. Although they do convert from desktop size to tall, the height when extended is not as high as a conventional tall fan. The fans have 3 settings the highest being next to off which is a bit strange, so you have to click through the settings if you want it on the lowest setting. Overall very happy with the power as the fans are strong - good quality and sturdy.

The only thing I love more on a hot day than a fan is assembling a fan. You have to actually put the fan bit together which is really fiddly and the instructions is just 6 small images that don't have any explanation. It didn't take too long but it was very frustrating trying to screw this thing together!! The screws are tiny. It does worry me that it's not that stable but so far I've not had any issues. Its a powerful fan and is the best I've owned by far!

Bought this due to my old fan dying during the recent hot spell and I'm glad I did, it's air flow is great, it's quiet and sits in the corner doing it's job without any fuss.I don't know why some people thought it would arrive fully assembled? It's very easy to put together and takes about 5 minutes to get it up and running.It looks nice and stylish and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a good fan at a good price.

i bought this fan as last minute buy due to bedroom getting hot at night, delivery was next day and when i opened the box, i noticed not too many parts and instruction were very clear to understand. fan was assembled in about 5 mins and used straight away and it cooled off our 11x12 bedroom in about 10-15 mins using just number 1 setting and rotation setting.. great buy and am thinking about getting another for down stairs.

Great fan. Has 3 speeds. Even on 1 it's a great speed. Personally, I don't find it noisy. It also occilates, which is great on these warm clamy days. There is two heights. Stand on floor or desk. Haven't tried desk top yet, so can't comment. Easy to put together, except there are 2 tiny screws which need to be used, and with my long nails it was very fiddly :) but I got there in the end

Really happy with this but would prefer the blades were screwed into axle part rather than just into a ridge, I hope it doesn't work loose after some time of use, so will need clean often to check, this really does worry me and is why I would not recommend to anybody as wouldn't want to be to blame if a accident happened. Love the stand and choice of height options, good powerful breeze.

I'd wondered, when I was assembling this fan, why there was a massive weight that needed to be installed in the base. When I turned it on, I wondered no more - this thing blows quite a gale, even on the lowest setting! It's not exactly quiet, but when you're boiling alive in your room, you'll not necessarily care about the sound level. I am incredibly grateful that I bought this...

This is my second fan of the same make and model but this time what I have received is not in a proper new condition.It got some scratches on the pole and the protective net is smashed on few place.Looked like boxed has been slamed or it has been thrown on the floor.But working fine.They should be more careful while dealing with the orders.
