Arrived today, in use for a couple of hours above an internal door to push warm air from our stove into the next room.Pros:~ solid construction to the clip, cage and most of the adjustable spindle~ the clip has two screw slots for wall-mounting~ very quiet~ the head turns by a solid snap-position mechanism on the clip~ It's only 18W on high speed~ minimal packaging and all recyclable~ easy to disassemble for cleaning, both cage and motor housing.~ The breeze can be felt 3-4 feet away. It's not for cooling a room.cons:~ The internal wiring of the switch uses a push-and-trap method for the mains cable. In mine, the positive had come out. A screw or solder method might have been more robust.~ the angle of tilt mechanism uses a wing-nut and friction.

We took our vacation from American to England, right in the middle of a drought with unusually high temps for the UK. Of course, NO ONE had fans in stock, because rarely are they ever needed. We checked store after store after store and each time they either never had any, or the small "emergency" stock they'd gotten in had already flown off the shelves.As a last ditch effort to avoid two weeks tossing in bed at night, too hot and sweaty to sleep, we ordered six of these online (one for each member of our group), over-night shipped to our cottage. They were PERFECT for using at night, when we needed a cool breeze to break up the stale hot air in our bedrooms. It's much bigger than the picture gives it credit for,

I was immediately impressed with this fan, it's well made and runs very quietly and smoothly. The fan can be manually pan + tilted and then locked in place (but it doesn't auto-rotate. I think that's a plus with this little fan because it's often the auto rotate mechanism that causes a fan to be noisey|). It works perfectly wherever you need a small fan up to a distance of +/- 4 or 5 feet from you. The "clamp-On jaws" are strong and rubber padded so it clamps tightly but doesn't leave marks on the surface of whatever you clamped it to. The clamp opens up to 2 inches/5 centimeters so it will clamp to most kitchen worktops, tables/coffee tables, shelves, office desktops or even a windowsill.

I bought of these last summer to get a bit more air flowing in my bedroom and it did exactly the job it needed to. Despite its size it is powerful enough to aerate a reasonably sized room.I have a couple of minor quibbles. The power cable could do with being another 2 or 3 feet longer in my opinion, just to make life easier, but I can still position the fan where I like without having to overstretch extension blocks to get it connected up. Secondly, it's be nice if this had an additional adjustable hinge on it to make it easier to angle it in the direction you want, but again this can be worked around with a bit of careful placement.Suffice to say I will be making use of this again if this

I bought one of these fans several years ago. It was brilliant and has had heavy use. It now looks a little sad so decided to replace it with a new one. Sometime ago I decided to get a second fan for elsewhere and ordered the first one that came up but was very disappointed with it (flimsy, noisy, poor quality, poor airflow). This time I took care to buy a 'Draper' again. Please, if you're looking for a fan of this type, choose this one, you will not get better. The quality is second to none - not flimsy at all. It gives a great wave of air, fantastic power (or less if you wish, two settings) It can be angled anyway you wish and is not noisy.

After scouring my whole city and the internet for a fan during the recent heatwave, I found EVERYWHERE was sold out. I had dismissed the clip on fans until that point thinking they would be like the USB ones that clip to your computer. I was wrong. I am glad I took a chance on this. It is sturdy, has a very big clip, and is only slightly smaller than your regular cheap desk fan. It has two settings, and the higher setting is enough to cool you down during the heatwaves. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to osccilate on it's own. As it is I'm happy to move it about myself as needed, as it is possible to turn it around.

This is a pretty cool fan, it is compact and light enough to clip onto any sturdy surface. The clip itself is wide enough to bite upwards of about an inch and a half. The blades themselves are 6 inches in diameter, however together with the casing it is actually about 8 inches in total in diameter. The only negative is that the cord could be a bit longer given the ability of the fan to be mounted in high places off the ground, but this can be remedied if you have an extension cord. There are two speeds on the fan and the switch is located on the back of the fan unit rather than on the cord. It is relatively quieter compared to most desk fans on the lower setting.

This fan is a real workhorse. It works extremely well and is really convenient because you can just clip it onto what ever is nearby.I have run it from an inverter with a modified sine wave output when camping, and both speeds still worked fine.I have two minor criticisms, both of which are easy to fix yourself. The first is that the screw retaining the swivel base works its self loose over time. You can easily tighten it back up, and I put a dab of thread lock on mine and it has stayed tight since. The other is that there is no indication from the front which way to push the switch for high speed or low speed. I just wrote it on the front with a sharpie.

After being messed about for a number of years since lloydtron fans stopped production,i have found an ideal replacement.I have constantly been sold sub-standed products claiming to be ideal for grow tents, each in turn stopped working usually by motor. But my main problem seemed to be with the actual length of the 360 degree rachett housing and the flexibility of the fans body, also alot of times the fans head would not be held in place. But my search is over, I would recommend this fan again and again, anyone looking for a replacement for there lloydtron model this is it, only time will tell if the motor stands the test of time.

Having bought various Draper goods i knew this would be a pretty good product for the price and so it is. Good construction and building quality, good clip, its fairly light and provides a decent amount of airflow are its strengths. My only niggles would be it is slightly more noisier than expected and the switch gives medium and strong airflow, would of been nice to have a low option which would eliminate the noise element too. Great stuff anyways, bargain at the price and going to be invaluable over summer.

I've noticed over the years Some people embarrass themselves with these reviews , the one who says this is not Draper is one such . It's exactly as described and exactly what i wanted . Sturdy build , good quality and deceptively powerful for its size. Highly recommended in every way , oh and it has Draper stamped on the tough mounting clip , the booklet has Draper all over it as does the box , Lord knows why it was ever queried

This fan is very versatile. I've had it clipped to the front of a spinning bike (which is where it usually stays) and in the days when the summer used to be summery I used to clip it to the bed's headboard as the clip can open to around 2" or so.There are two speeds, high and low but really you just keep it on the high setting.I'd definitely buy another one if mine packs up. I've had it for a year so far with no problems.

I bought 2 of these fans for my children's bedrooms during the heatwave we've currently been experiencing in the UK. I have been really impressed, especially for the price! They are very quiet and my children fall asleep straight away with them on. The clip is very sturdy and wide and can clip onto most things easily. The head of the fan is also adjustable so you can get the perfect angle.I would definitely recommend!

Well built, the clip is strong enough to hold on to a headboard all by itself and there's holes for screw fittings. It gives a decent amount of breeze and is no noiser than you'd expect a reasonable powerful fan to be - my one minor gripe would be that there isn't much difference between the 'fast' and ''slow' settings (both pretty fast, so there isn't a gentle option).

This fan is a well made product made from quality plastic and the spring loaded spring is very strong.....good for gripping but if you have weak hands for any reason then you might have trouble with the clamp. The fan itself runs quietly, in fact this product was so good i bought a second one.Yes i very much would recommend this item.
