This arrived the next day.. . Perfect as we were all melting in the living room. Slowly loosing about 10 pints of sweat a day.When it was hot a few weeks back.Kids all moaning. To hot in the house. And out.Driving me mad... But to be honest. I was too... Trying to cook a meal. Jeeze... All the hobs on. And the oven. Despite windows and doors open... It was like a sauna. And with the added jumanji feel of the flies coming in and random moths appearing at night when trying to sleep.So when it arrived. I plugged it in after spending the whole of 30 seconds building it... Bonus!!Did not expect much, as like my husband repeated to me a thousand times when I said I'd bought it... ( does not like spending money!!)I was wasting my time. Blowing hot air around... This theory backed by both his mother and mine surprisingly. As there fans do this.Despite there thoughts. We plugged it in. Me and the kids together. Real family moment.Turned the timer ( has a handy timer. So you can put it on and forget about it and it won't Carry on when you don't need)Clicked the number 3...... And wow.Instantly we were cooled!!! Its swayed back and forth. Whilst we all sat there. Feeling like we had win the lottery.So yes. It works... Brilliant to be exact. Husband nodded and said... Oh yeah. Well most don't so I dunno... When he returned home. He then sat in front of it for a hour!I now use in the kitchen. And kids in the bedroom. I got 2 more!And it was brill.So soon as it is warm again. Maybe a whole week next year??!! It will be used again!!!

I bought this fan for my 5 year old sons bedroom. Ideally I would have liked a smaller fan (maybe 8 or 10 inches) but this one I fitted very easily on the wall in 5 minutes.TIP : Plug it in before fixing it to the wall so you know how high you can have it. I live in a new build so plug sockets are 2 feet up the wall so that helps with height. The lead is approximately 1.5 metres long.This fan is fairly quiet, quiet enough not to prevent my 5 year old son from sleeping. It really is a decent fan but it's not for small rooms at all. I don't know is the manufacturer/seller do have small versions of it but it's worth enquirung first which is something I should have done. Other than that,this fan works brilliantly with it's speeds and oscilating. It only needs to be on speed 1 (the lowest setting) to keep my sons room cool over night and we don't use the oscilating function but both do work perfectly.Feedback for the manufacturer - as you can see from my pictures, why have you decided to have the power lead come out of the top of the fan and out of the bottom of the plug. If you changed the design to have the power lead come out of the bottom of the fan and out of the top of the plug, you'd give your customers an extra 6 to 8 inches of height from the plug socket - something to think about.

Thanks to global warming, nearly every day is hotter than you think it's going to be. I'm no fan of hot weather, and I finally had enough over the last two months. Because of this I needed a decent fan, but I didn't want to spend too much for fear that we may be seeing the tale end of the hot season.Well we're still getting hot spells, and I'm so happy I decided to get the Q-Connect 760mm 30 inch Tower Fan. I read reviews that were both complimentary and also ones that complained about build quality. However for just over £20 I thought it would be worth the risk and decided to dive in and give it a go.The fan arrived in perfect condition, so I had none of the issues described by some other reviewers.I can however appreciate that if knocked it will break, as the build quality isn't incredible. However it costs around the same as a steak dinner, so I think the overall quality is fine for the price.It was ridiculously easy to set up. You get the fan itself and then the base comes in two pieces. Took about 30 seconds to get it out of the box, attach the base and before I knew it I was sitting blissfully in a wonderful cool breeze.If I ever need a fan again, I'll definitely be picking another one of these up, and I'll be sure to let my friends know that this is a fan worth buying

Brilliant value for money, and so good to be able to get it from Prime the next day. It's helped with the heat a lot: a couple of nights I've even switched it off after getting too cold! It's not too noisy (no extra noise at all from the oscillating feature). The timer setting is good to have - but for a second I thought the fan didn't work as it arrived with the timer at 0. Because it's a tower fan it blows onto my bed without having to put it on anything and take up space/balance it on a chair. I ended up buying another after a couple of days because my mum was jealous! She used to have two round ones blowing from different directions but now she just has this.Being fully enclosed it's not going to look quite so grim when it's inevitably got cat fur in it, but it also might not be easy to clean. Speaking of: the cats seem to enjoy the breeze and aren't frightened by the motor. The only downside is I don't think the white plastic would be attractive in a living room, but looks fine in my bedroom.

The review is for the product I should have had !I have the q connect fan in my office ,its a 4 speed oscillating fan ,which is almost silent and cools my office nicely ,based on this I ordered one for home ,however what has been delivered is an ELPINE 3 speed fan ,I can only assume this is a picking mistake in the warehouse ? Or an alternative ,to which I was not informed about !I decided to keep the fan anyway because of the recent heatwave and did not want to wait for a replacement .Like the q connect fan ,assembly was easy and the fan operation is also almost silentThe ELPINE being a 3 speed does not cool the room as effectively as I would like .Amazon is my go to site for home shoppingfor many reasons .This is the first time I have recieved the wrong item.Like i say i could have returned the fan and waited for a replacement ,but i needed a fan that night .

I ordered this wall fan before there were any reviews for it. I've ordered things before that have had no reviews and they have turned out to be big mistakes. This fan however, was a good choice. It has 3 speeds which you can change by pulling the cord or turning a switch. It has a fitted plug and the cable length is about 150cm long. The fan oscillates at a nice steady speed. It was straight forward to fix the fan to the wall. You screw a small bracket to the wall and then screw the fan to the bracket. The screws for the wall were a little short in my opinion (2cm) so I use my own 3cm screws. It arrived in 2 days even though I was emailed and told I might have to wait a week for delivery.The fan itself has enough power so that I can feel a good breeze from 3 metres away when it is on speed setting number 3. I'm also pleased that it is fairly quiet too.

Well, what can I say here apart from the fact that if you order this fan then don't expect what you see in the picture! I thought the picture showed a sturdy, nicely finished unit. What I received was a very plasticky piece of 'stuff'! The whole thing feels very cheap and flimsy and if it survives a year then I'll be totally amazed. The description is almost right....as it certainly is a 12" fan that oscillates and tilts although the wattage is 40w and not the stated 50w. It works just fine too. And delivery was excellent on a one day turnaround. It's just very annoying that I thought I was buying a nice looking fan that ended up looking like a piece of s***e! Anyway, 4 stars for service,delivery and the fact that it works, but the seller really should update the product details.

Ordered this on Friday 19/07/13 after my trusty fan of many years died. Like the other reviewer I couldn't source a replacement locally and turned to Amazon. Very impressed with the service as the fan arrived the next morning. Just to clarify this is a 2 speed fan (some confusion in description) which tilts and oscillates and is much quieter than my old one. The base differs from the photo but is sturdy and stable. I found it a bit fiddly to assemble but that probably says more about me than the product. Although very impressed with the product and the excellent service I'm resisting purchasing another as I intended as the price has risen from £21.27 to £35.54 since Friday.It gets 4 stars due to the confusing description which also refers to it as being a 3 speed fan.

This arrived with attention to detail in the packaging... so no damage.I wondered how they managed to get the box so slim; and this is because the base is separate. It clicks into place with ease and is secured with one screw. The fan unit also has a bit of weight to it.Assembly is easy and the parts are sturdy - even a spare nut and bolt was provided for the cage. This is a good idea, because they are tiny and easily lost.There are two speed adjustments, which is fine for our needs, and the fan is very quiet on both settings which also makes it ideal for the many people who like some white noise to get them off to sleep.I use this one for creating a good draft when I'm on the exercise bike.I'mvery pleased with my purchase.

It works fine, does the job. However nowhere on the product description did it say it came in bits and you had to assemble! hence only 4 stars. Anyone who has manual dexterity problems like I do will find it a tiresome job and I have never ever seen a nut and bolt (which was needed on part of the cage part) so small . Lost count of how many times I dropped the nut bit and the last time it fell into my pot plant and sunk oh and eventually lost skrew/bolt bit. After an hour of sweat and toil I had it assembled and stood in front of it to cool off. (Have threaded a small piece of wire thru the bit where the 'offensive' lit nut thingy should of gone, so the frame is stable).Like I said does the job.

Great value. Purchased for the conservatory and ideal as it takes up the minimum of floor space and looks good in white. Reasonably quiet except on the fastest of the 3 speeds but as it shifts the air very well even on speed 1, the fastest speed probably won't ever be needed. The timer is useful and the oscillation function is easily switched on or off. Hard to understand some of the comments about this item - especially the one about the wire coming out of the front! Just put the stand on the right way round! The base/stand does appear flimsy and very light but there are no problems at all when used on a hard floor; it might be less stable on carpet. All in all - love it!

It's a great quality fan, made with an excellent quality of plastic, and price is affordable. I have purchased 1 of these then decided to buy more and went to buy another cheaper brand but it was disappointing, so I returned them and purchased 3 more of these Q-connect fans. The only two down sides are short cable since it's gonna be hanging on the wall and usually sockets are near the floor level, and the screws that keeps the fan safety covers locked are loose in the box and they should be bagged with the other screws or at least tapped to the instructions manual or something. All in all, it's great quality fan. ?

Received this fan in two days, that's alright. Has a timer on that I probably won't ever use, still that's pretty cool. The lead is longer than I thought, pretty happy about that. 3 power settings, pretty average. Not silent but not loud, alright. Rotates about 140 degrees there about, would be good if i could control it's rotation but I'm not too fussed, alright. The heights alright a part from the fact you have to put it on boxes for it to get your upper body, probs the biggest problem. Paid 20 bar, not bad. Keeps me cool when I'm watching Game Of Thrones, can't complain. I'm chuffed with it, decent buy.

I ordered this fan for some relief during the July 2019 heatwave. At £13.76 I was a little dubious regarding its quality anticipating it to be flimsy and wobbly. However, I've been happily surprised. The fan took 10 minutes to assemble from the box, the parts fitted together perfectly, it is height-adjustable and with its 3 speeds and oscillating function it provides a cooling breeze with no vibration on a lightly carpeted floor and produces little noise and no rattles. It provides a welcome flow of air overnight while sleeping and offers exceptional value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Lifesaver for drowning out noise at night. My last one lasted about 3 years of nightly use before it suddenly died, and I knocked it over a good number of times over those years. There are endless noises I simply can't sleep to, and this fan isn't one of them!Of course, it's cheaply made, but it works like any other fan. From time to time, and likely depending on each uniquely manufactured fan, it may have a slight rattling/clanking sound, perhaps from time to time, so may need a few random "adjustments" in such moments. As for use as an actual fan, it was pretty decent if I remember correctly.
