I have this running as an additional filter, backing up a Juwel internal in a 180l tank which is currently holding a (rescued and to-be-rehomed)common pleco amongst other fish.The filter comes with three sponges, one of which I took out and filled the chamber with used and thus bacteria loaded, filter floss from my other 3 filters plus some Fluval biomedia. I have not yet used the optional spraybar which is included but the output flow is strong. I have cleaned the filter twice in a month, and not had any problems. I find it easier to remove and replace the media baskets and not fill the tank with loose waste than I do on the Fluval U3 and U4.It is quiet, and adheres to the tank sides well,

I had no problems using this but did upgrade to 100i as i wanted more flow and extensibility.It is quietThe sucker mechanism works fine though the older model with mag version is preferable.Main issue i had with it are its extensibility.Yes you can extend and add other filter cases (prob another 1 max) on but you cant just buy an empty case to put what you want in and the ones out there for it are expensive.Its not compatible with previous models (had magnetic attachment) even though it looks virtually identical so even if you see those filter cases (e.g. carbon) come up cheap you cant use them.The 100i is better value for money as you get 3 cases with 3 lots of mech sponges that you can then

This is an excellent filter it does what it says but buy the filter start at the same time ,2 days and my 4 foot tank was crystal clear ,it has an adjustable flow rate and is very quiet when running ,all in all the best filter out there .

Excellent little filter, use in my isolation tank, which has ended up being planted and shrimps added? Very quiet, easy to maintain. Ideal if you want a small tank in a bedroom

Be aware that this product comes with a fitted two pin plug so you'll need to buy an adapter in order to use it! The filter works well though.
