I bought this as it was described as loose fibre free, it is definitely not that, cut a piece off and there are a lot of loose fibres, shaking helps remove a lot of these but not all.You get more than the picture leads you to believe, the packet is the size of a long pillow.For the cost I would say it’s just ok value for money as there are many options out there for filter wool, I got it on the amazon discount code offer so feel it’s worth the money I paid, at full price I don’t think it is, good it says it’s chemical free, just wish it was also loose fibre free too as it was described, I won’t be buying this filter wool again, used better in the past, though the filter felt JBL sell is very compact,

Swapped the biorb base media for Eheim bioballs gravel, and tipped everything out of the filter cartridge and just filled it with this stuff. These changes along with using Prime for water changes has given me crystal clear water. This foam is so easy to use, I just tear a line off the end & wedge it in the cartridge & I'm done. As long as I gravel vac the bio media, my tank stays lovely & clean. This really does polish the water nicely.

I use this on an external pond, I used a plastic bucket and filled with the wool and ran an extra slow flow to it and draped it over the pond as an extra filter. It catches all the small stuff and helps to keep the water clear and I don`t have to strip the main filter down as much. Added to this the fish seem to like an extra flow into the pond which helps to put oxygen in.

This filter wool is ideal for sizing and cutting to replace the pads in my top filter system. The long roll should last a good while, and will work out a fraction of the price compared to my filer manufacturer's pre-cut pads. Fantastic price, real value for money.

Works great, even though I had 2 filters running on my aquarium, the water still had a cloudiness to it, took out one of the filters, added some of this to the filter In the aquarium and by the next morning my water was crystal clear. Will never be without this.

Great! I bought this for my Lay-Z-Spa filter and it works a treat. Really helps remove all the rubbish and really helps the water. I just wrap around my filter cartridge and pop back in its holder and change after very use. Great stuff.

Excellent but only works with enclosed filters and not open flow through type for which you need sheets . I found it far more economic to buy enclosed filter and use this wool. Follow instructions on packet carefully. !!!!!!

Polishes water very well, plenty in the bag for the cost. It comes as a thick folded, flat material that can easily be ripped/cut to fit square canisters.Give it a wash out first and pop it into the filter.

Have added this to my fx4 in addition to the supplied filter and it's night and day difference in terms of water clarity. Highly recommend will be using again (although this big bag will last me a life time)

Love this product and highly recommend it to anyone with a fish tank. I put some onto of my juwel bio flow filter. Very good value for the money and would last for very long time.

This is great value for money. I paid half the price for about a quarter of the size of this bag at a Fish Store for exactly the same product. I certainly would buy this again.

Good product but needs a really good rinse before it goes in the tank. First I put in I rinsed under tap for around 3 mins and it still made my water have particles in it

Efficient, economical, convenient. really polishes the water well, water stays very clear. cheap enough to replace as needed, and keep sludge out of the motor head.

Very good filter medium; when you take it out you can see how much it has filtered from the water. Helpful to keep my nitrates down by removing waste.

This filter wool is much better at clearing the water and keeping it clear than the candy floss type filter wool that I had previously been usin.
