PROS:1) Retains sharpness2) Inexpensive3) Stylish packagingCONS: NO APPARENT DOWNSIDESI’ve been using the Derby Extras for the last few years. 1 box of blades (5 blades) lasts me typically 5 weeks. Thus, one package of 100 blades is good for 100 weeks. This knocks the spots of the Gilette £15/£20 a month, since if I was using Gillette I’d have forked out nearly £450 in the same time I spent £6 for the Derby Extra. These Derby Premium are noticeably sharper than the Derby Extra, on account, I think, of the use of Swedish Steel. Swedish Steel is the reason why British Steel closed down in the UK. It’s far superior and this is witnessed in how long these blades retain their sharpness. The Derby Extra towards the end of the week were noticeably dragging on my skin. These were still gliding on the very last day of use.The packaging looks premium, with a nice Black and Gold colour scheme....not that makes any difference, it’s just nicer on the eye than the green Derby Extra. They are more expensive, but considering I won’t be buying any more blades until 2021/2022 I think I can stretch the extra couple of pounds to £8 odd.I would highly recommend these blades, which I use in my Muehle razor.

I purchased the 100 pack of blades and am on my 3rd week of use, also, I have been wetshaving for almost 6 months. I've used 12 blades so far and use a new blade every shave. I have used the other Derby blades and they were good but these Derby premium blades are better in my opinion. These blades have almost no "grab" and I think I could get two shaves per blade but for the price it isn't worth testing the waters for razor burn. I would recommend these over the other Derby blades for new or experienced wetshavers. I just wanted to add that I bought a 30 pack of Feather Japanese blades and they were way to sharp for my face,so after trying four different blades I will be sticking with these for now.

I have be debating on whether to buy these blades for quite some time now. It wasn't the price of the blades that I had a problem with it was that I can't stand to waste anything so if I hated them I would have to suffer through it until they were all gone just like I did when I bought a 100 pack of the personna blades. I know some people swear they are the best blades they have ever used but for me they were way too sharp. I am 28 and I've been fighting acne most of my life and the personna blades just ripped it off. So I read the reviews on the Derby blades and said what the hell and I'm so glad I did these blades are sharp and smooth all at the same time I couldn't be happier with mypurchase.

Finally! I found a double edge blade that I actually enjoy shaving with. I've tried several brands, like Personna, Astra, Derby (original), Van Der Hagen, and Feather. And I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting at the moment, but these are the brands I've used the most. I typically use these Derby Premiums for wet shaving, but occasionally break them into two for my straight razor for edging my beard and hairline. They perform well in both roles. So far, these are the only double edge blades that don't cause me severe irritation or razor burn. I also rarely nick myself with them, and they stay sharp for 2-3 shaves. They're well worth the price and I'll definitely be buying more.

After trying several different blades I had been using exclusively green Derby blades for several years. They just seem to get along very well wit my razor. Came across these and decided to give them a try. Not an improvement. They have a slightly different grind angle (not really an issue, just a preference) and they seem fuller out of the package and full much more quickly. Where I was getting ~two weeks from a green Derby I find these struggling after 5-7 shaves. I will say, though, that the 2nd through 5th are closer and more comfortable than with the green Derby’s. I wish I didn’t have 100 of them to use up, but at least I should go through them quick.

These are by far the best quality DE blades I’ve bought so far. Ignore the other reviews about far too much plastic packaging, I would rather my blades came in a neat and safe to use plastic feeder than the cardboard ones used in my last purchase of DE blades which fall apart when they get slightly wet. Excellent shave from these blades, others have complained that you only get two shaves from each blade, at this price compared to Mac 3’s etc I use them once, then put them inside one of the old feeder boxes until it’s full then bin it, far safer for everyone when they go in the bin. Really is the best shave I have ever had from these type of blades

When my Derby Extra blades finally ran out I thought I'd play it safe and get more but then noticed the Premium for the same price. I thought it would just be a name and still change but these are fantastic blades. The Extras were good, but started off dangerously sharp, I'd cut my head so easily, until they got the sweet spot for a few shaves before becoming too dull. These start cutting well without accidently cutting my scalpe when I shave my head and then just stay pretty consistent until it's time to change out. I'm glad I bought such a big pack because I'll want to keep using these for the foreseeable future.

I use these in a short handle Merkur screw together safety razor, good close shave on a very coarse beard with less irritation than Astra blades. Merkur blades have been the least irritating I've used, but the shave isn't as close. These Derby blades are in the middle, pretty close shave and not harsh. I would buy them again for sure over the Astras I've been using since they're pretty inexpensive, right in the middle price wise of most of the legit blades out there and the shave is as good as I need it to be around my beard (shaving neck, upper lip and upper cheeks)

Been using the Derby blades since I started wet shaving. I threw away those expensive plastic multi-blade razors and bought several vintage Gillette double edge razors. Like a 1959 Gillette 195 Fat Boy adjustable DE razor and a 1932 Gillette Tech DE razor. These Derby blades are not too sharp as to irritate the skin. Still very sharp and get the job done nicely. One blade lasts about a week shaving everyday. The price is really a great value for the amount you get. Dump those over priced plastic razors, save money and get a great smooth shave in the process.

I have tried shark, van der hagan, feather, dorco, astra, and these so far in my shaving journey. They are not as sharp as the feather blades but they are more forgiving. You can angle your handle to allow a more aggressive approach to the skin without the razor burn or irritation that a slightly sharper feather would cause. I can get 4-5 shaves out of a feather and 2-3 out of one of these blades, but at the price I’m not sweating that. They leave me irritation free, smooth, and satisfied with my ability to use a DE razor

I like this blades, They work very well. I new on wet shaving but I got Two razors:- Vikings Blade Emperor Augustus- Merkur FuturAnd I use 2 blades the derby premium and the Dorco prime platinum. And always durability and close shave the derby beats Dorco.Nevertheless I’m now going to try the Kai double edge razor blades and the Personna.Do you know overall this is a very good blade for the price durability you can get at least four shavesAnd I strongly encourage you to change every two shaves.Have a great shave

As a new DE shaver, but not a new wet shaver, these are perhaps my favourite blades so far for a good clean workaday shave. They perform well without being over aggressive and leaving you with that sore feeling for a couple of hours afterwards that can occur with the really sharp Feather blades for example. As all these things can vary for different skin types, beard thickness and so on, it really is best to find the best blade for you, and that can only be done by trying as many brands as you can.

I like the Derby Premium blades. But two of the first 5-pack I opened were LION blades, and so far one of the second 5-pack has been a LION blade. They may be the same blades made in the same factory, just with a different label. I tried one of the LION blades and didn't like it as much, but this may just be psychological on my part if they are the same. At any rate, I just throw the LION blades out. I don't think this is the seller's fault, as each 5-pack is sealed.

I bought the razor for my husband. He is quiet high maintenance so I was sceptical due to the inconclusive feedbacks. He has a very hard and tough hair and shaving is like a battle. However, he shaved well, the skin was smooth and not many cuts, so it is a plus. I cannot comment on how many times you can use the razor since he always uses once and then bin it. The other plus is that it is made in Turkey not in China! He is satisfied but not over the moon so it works!

Despite the fact that these are very thin if I shave every day or two I can get 3 shaves out of one blade before it needs changed. The blades are well made and don't nick due to tough hair (which is how I can use them as often. Paired with a good razor you get a nice smooth and close shave, and the bonus is you seriously reduce your costs and plastic waste when compared to modern disposables. I will never go back to those after getting used to a traditional razor.
