I chose this because it had just one button. Many other coffee makers have way too many buttons and spill over functionality into apps, which is only a recipe for more things going wrong. My use case was only making coffee when I needed it and keeping it warm for a little while; no need for timer or any other statistics, analytics, etc. This machine matches perfectly. If I had a nitpick, the coffee machine beeps 3 times when it's finished and I wish there were a way to turn the beeping off.

Having owned many filter coffee makers and discarded them through bad design and quality of construction such as, hard to fill, insecure carafe handle fittings etc. This machine is a gem and well worth its price, it makes excellent coffee in both it's modes. The front water fill is a really useful feature as is the coffee compartment situated on the front. The carafe is a sturdy shape and has a substantial handle firmly fixed to the top. There is not a timer on this model which I did not require.

Deliberately went for a De Longhi to replace previous. Did not want to take a chance on one which may not keep the coffee hot. I had a couple of mishaps because my last one had an internal filter ( I always used paper as well). This model is paper only. One mishap was due to a hole in paper therefore water everywhere, the other due to paper folded over and resulted in coffee everywhere. I am now more careful and machine makes excellent coffee and lovely and hot and stays hot for the second cup.

Been brewing coffee in a Swan machine for years. Expect to use 3 spoons of coffee and take 10-15 minutes of gurgling to produce a brew. This machine transformed expectations. Produces the same amount of coffee, using only 2 spoons of grounds (Aldi Italian - highly recommended). In 2-3 minutes.Easy to fill too, with pull out drawer for grounds, taking the Melitta 2cup paper filter. The U shape of the water container means you can fill it without pulling it out.Who needs an Espresso machine!

This our third De Longhi coffee maker, over a period of 8 years.. Does exactly what you need of a simple no-nonsense.filter coffee makerThe machine holds around 2.5 litres. This takes less than 10 minutes to go through. The machine produces coffee at just the right temperature.Turns off after 40 minutes. This is not a problem for use. If we want to keep the pot warm, just switch it off and back-on].If we want just one cup, we pour the coffee into a mug and microwave for 1.5 minutes

My old De'Longhi packed in after many years of service so I decided to replace it with one from the same manufacturer! It's every bit as good as it's predecessor but a word of warning - if you're making a big pot of coffee, as I invariably do, use Number 4 filters! I used Number 2 filters at first (as I did with my old machine) and I ended up with a spillage. Possibly the flow on this machine is greater, I really don't know, all I know is that with Number 4 filters it's perfectly fine!

Bought a more expensive coffee maker which fused all my switches as it got wet for some reason. The other product had a revolutionary water spray system, however then the water filters through the coffee too quickly. This slower traditional mechanism is ideal as it has more time to pass through the coffee. The only feature it doesn't have is a timer but then I question who, after the initial trial, actually uses this timer on a regular basis. It does however require filter paper

Very neat little coffee maker, easy to use and clean. Must make sure you use the large white bags as the smaller beige ones don't work. Also make sure you have the jug in place correctly or the water runs all over the plate. Other than those points, a nice and very reasonably priced machine. Operates easily, and quick to deliver a really good cup of coffee. Would recommend for price, and efficiency. Didn't want a fancy machine, had one before and a nuisance. This is good.

I bought this to replace one of a different make which had a load of features, but blew up less than two weeks after I bought it.This one has no frills, apart from a useful beep which sounds once the coffee has finished brewing. It's a great machine which I would recommend to anyone. The only downside is that it uses filter papers, which I thought had gone out with the ark, rather than a built in filter, which is why Ease of use and Features only get 4 stars.

Needed a decent coffee machine for this office. This one was on offer.Easy to use. Disappointed there isn't a removable filter, to make cleaning easier. It did come with a few paper filters. It has a timer which turns the machine off after about 40 minutes - not ideal in an office. We're constantly having to turn it back on.Overall, it does make a quick and easy pot of coffee. Would be better with a removable filter and without the automatic shut off.

I've only been using this for around a week and very happy with it so far. Does what I need and want it to do. Easy to clean, quick and simple to make my filter coffee in the morning. Does not take up too much space and looks nice enough. Also the coffee is reasonably hot compared with other machines that I've had in the past. If I was going to be critical, it is a bit lightweight due to its plastic construction but all in all seems to be a good purchase so far.

I have low cupboards in the kitchen. This coffee maker is only 45cm high with the water filling lid open. This is an improvement over other filter coffee makers. As usual for most coffee makers, this unit required 3 jugfuls of water to be heated to get rid of the plastic smell.Easy unit to clean. I lever off the jug lid and then put the jug in the dishwasher. The levering action requires some care to avoid hinge damage.I am pleased with the item.

this coffee maker was bought to replace a previous De Longhi item which gave many years of good service before failing. The new maker is a smartet looking appliance and is easier to fill with water - it even bleeps when the coffee's made - but it always seems to be dripping water behind the glass jug when in use, which drops onto the hot plate, causing sizzling and odour. Can't find the source(s) of any leaks. Apart from that it works very well.

Quite a bulky device, but looks quite good and does the job perfectly well. At 900 watts it's fast, but it does retain condensation, meaning that the filter compartment is wet when putting in a fresh filter. I hate the 40-minute timer, but that appears to be standard on all filter machines now. A loud beep when the 40 minutes has elapsed would be good, to remind me to switch it off and on again to keep my coffee hot for longer than 40 minutes.

Bought this to replace a previous one of the same make. I did not want any fancy features, such as timers etc. Just a simple machine that would make good coffee when I press the button. This machine does exactly that. It is easy to fill and has a good sized jug. The only "extra" feature it has is that it beeps once when you start the process and beeps three times when the filtering is complete. It will then keep the coffee warm for 40 minutes.
