have been using this product every day for 2 weeks with no problems. it grinds coffee to a consistent size. i found that giving the grinder a shake while grinding helps to even out the grind consistency. normally it takes approx 15 seconds to grind strong coffee for 2 people. i have also used this product for spices with very good results.one minor gripe is that you need to make sure the lid is on correctly before attempting to grind as the ground material can escape into the outer section of the grinder making re-assembly difficult. also the brush can be tricky to replace into its slots when the bristles become flared.neither of these problems pose any real concern.over all i would def recommend.

I was very surprised with the quality of this grinder, it not only looks smart it actually grinds as good if not better that some of the more expensive grinders I have had. Not only do I use this for coffee beans, I use it for various herbs and spices on a daily basis. The instructions do state not to use it for rice as it is too hard, I ground 2 kilos of rice to a fine flour yesterday without any problems, most other grinders start to overheat after about 10 to 15 mins of use, this one worked for nearly an hour of constant use before is only just started to get warm. Overall I can find no problems with purchasing this grinder and will happily recommend to anybody.

i bought this for a different purpose. i bought this to hopefully grind flax seeds, when i got it home i thought that it might not be upto the job but when we first used it i was pleasantly surprised as it done the job great.as far as coffee beans go, i have not tried it for that but i have to say it is a great sturdy product for the money and does the job for what i wanted it to do. so grinding coffee beans i can see no problem at all. so easy to use and also easy to clean. just a push on the lid to get it going and then to clean it it is so easy as the cup comes out, so its easy to clean with the supplied brush.i would recommend this to anyone.

This was bought for use as a spice grinder. It does a great job, and I expect it would do coffe beans brilliantly.Being able to take the container out for cleaning is very useful, but it would be a big help if the instructions didn't take great care to tell you to turn it clockwise to remove it: I wasted a couple of minutes before I discovered that it acutually turns anitclockwise to remove. As there's a diagram as well, it's obviously not a typo: somebody's brain obviously slipped. A very minor point, but prospective purchasers please note, you turn it the way you'd expect, not the way it says.

This machine is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. Not only does it look good sat neatly next to the microwave, it also does a great job grinding the spices. Previously I used the Kenwood blender with a mill attachment which caused a lot of annoyance taking it out of the cupboard and putting it together not to mention the cleaning. But with this product the cleaning is so easy with the brush provided although I use a paper towel as well. Just remember to read the instructions carefully, which are also easy and do not immerse the jar in water like I almost did thinking I knew it all.

Updated version of a decent but fiddly grinder. This new version irons out the small flaws of its elder brother making it easier to clean & adding a seperate chamber that decants the grinded coffee for easier use etc. It is basically the same size and weight, just a better design. The flashing lights are gone which were more than just bling (they told you how fine you were grinding) but this isnt really a big issue as you soon learn how long to grind for your taste..... very good for herbs, nuts and seeds too... at this price a highly recommended product.

I dont like coffee and dont use coffee beans. I've been searching for a mill to mill seeds, with no luck. Finally I've found one that works. The delonghi is simple to use, one hand is all thats needed. The inner dish removes for ease of cleaning, a must in my mind. I can grind my seeds and decide how fine I want by simple grinding a little longer. Works fast and isnt noisy. Safety feature that it wont work if the lid isnt on properly is good, good price too. I just love my new delonghi coffee grinder.

Good price. Some grinders are much more. All it has to do is grind coffee beans and it achieves that, you. The little brush is essential, ground coffee is stickier than I thought.Bad points. Why is it so big? I'm sure it could be half the size. As in the picture the base and motor are twice the size of the container to grind the coffee. It isn't a 'button' on top, the whole top depresses. I've tried a number of ways but coffee still works it's way up and out of the inner part when grinding.

It is good and it does what it is supposed to do but the only downside I have is that it took a bit longer than I thought it would to grind the coffee beans into a powder but apart from that its good and it isnt like the grinders at coffee shops either as it will not "burn" the coffee as some of these machines in the shops sometimes does (sometimes the machines in the coffee shops can be set too fast or too slow and end up making the coffee not as nice but that grinder doesnt do that)...

I bought this grinder a year ago and recently purchased another one as a gift for my auntie. I use it to grind whole spices such as cinnamon and whole nuts like almonds.I have bought a few grinders in the past that hover around this price range and I think this De'longhi grinder is the most powerful, and durable I have had so far. The plastic lids tend to crack easily and tend not to grind evenly, but this grinder can deal with very hard cased nuts/beans and is bearing well so far.

I wanted a coffee grinder to grind my coffee beans without a lot of fuss. I tried with my grinder attachments and they were noisy and the beans kept getting caught up. I looked at the reviews and thought I would take a chance on this wonderful little machine. I'm so glad I did. I put the coffee beans in and pressed down with my hand. The coffee was ground within seconds to the right consistency. It wasn't noisy like my attachments on my blender and they didn't get caught in the blades.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas as a surprise! He's one of those guys who doesn't trust anyone to buy him something without him having "vetted" it first for pros and cons. So i was nervous when he opened the coffee grinder. To my surprise he couldn't find a single negative thing to say about the product. He loves it and uses it regularly at least 3 times a day! Quality of product is great good value for money not too expensive... all in all a very good buy indeed.

This is a good coffee and spice grinder. Simple ti use and looks stylish. The 'cup' is part plastic and part metal so you can see the beans as they are ground up. The materials and build quality are great, as you would expect from De'Longhi. My only criticism is that the fine ground coffee tends to stick to it due to static electricity. This means that some ground coffee always seems to drop off on to the work surface or around the edge of the cup. Overall score 8/10.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I had contemplated buying the model with grind settings on it, but it was considerably more expensive. After a few trial runs with my machine I got the grind correct for the cafetiere. It's simple once you have gauged the right amount of beans, and the time. Keep opened bags of beans, and ground coffee in airtight containers in your refrigerator, and only grind as much as you will use. Machine is easy to clean, well pleased.

A good quality coffee grinder. It only has a single setting however you can still get some variability in the type of grind but holding for longer or shorter times. Keeps the grounds contained and is fairly mess-free. The only slight issue is the mechanism is fairly strong so requires a strong downward press with a slight turn. It's easy enough once you get the hang of it although may be difficult for people with any strength issues in their hands or wrists.
