I do love this machine. It has been a breeze to setup and use.it looks fantastic and way more expensive than it is!I like the quick start function, no fiddling around with menus to start the process. I would like to be able to extend the keep warm function for a further 25 minutes, but I don't think this is possible. I have tried starting the brewing process and then immediately switching off again to trick it.More experimentation is needed.Other than that the options to change the strength of the coffee is great and the timer function completes the package.The coffee does come out very well brewed! I have used many machines but this is the first I've owned. It seems easy to clean,though a shame it states no parts are dishwasher safe in the manual.Saying that it seems fairly easy to rinse through.You can use paper filter elements, though they would need to be the same shape to fit the flat bottomed cupcake filter element in this coffee maker.The parts seem well made. All the plastics seem pretty durable and should last a long time.It is hard to see how much water you are putting in. The step/ladder water measure is a simple but hard to read design, especially if you place your machine on the worktop under the cupboards. I find I really need plenty of light to see the amount of cups. I think practice will get around this over time though.It is quiet and pretty quick to get your coffee brewed and ready. It uses special features that baristas use, apparently, those being:1) The cupcake filter, to ensure more coffee is evenly brewed to prevent a bitter tasting coffee2) The brewing process is a pour over technique, to deliver a small amount of water at the start to prevent blooming. This enhances the flavour.I like the way the machine keeps the steam to a minimum, rather than some that seem to vent it out of the top. This is good, again especially if you use your machine under the cupboard units.Overall, after plenty of research I am glad to have chosen this machine. it is priced right and delivers a great experience to brew your own coffee.

I am really pleased with this coffee maker. I drink coffee all day and make one or two pots a day. Coffee machines seem to last me about 18 months to two years so I've got through a few in my time. The unit looks more expensive than it is and feels solid. It is shorter than most others with the same capacity possibly because the square shape holds more than a cylinder of the same height. The controls are largely self explanatory and easy to use. The reservoir can be filled from either the left or right side and the opening is large enough that you rarely miss.It has a "cupcake" shape filter to hold the coffee grounds and includes a reusable filter. Personally I find reusable filters are a pain to clean and the coffee is "grittier".So I put normal 1/4 paper filter inside the reusable filter which makes cleaning easier and improves the taste. Since these filters are designed for a conical compartment I have to squash them a little to make them fit but it works.My one minor quibble is that when the unit is not operating the clock is not back lit and is almost impossible to read from any distance so it is little use a clock.

This is a great coffee maker. The shower spray inside seems to make a great difference to the flavour along with th cupcake shaped coffee basket. I also love that i can change the strength with the buttons, this means instead of one scoop of coffee per cup/person you can reduce this by almost half so you can save money and not need to buy coffee so often anymore. It also looks great. There is one downside for me though, the longest the warm plate stays on for is 25 minutes, but i like to make a bigger pot and drink throughout the day when i need it. This is apparently a regulation now in the EU so most others may be the same. Due to the design of the coffee pot being surrounded with the actual unit it does help keep it warmer a little longer.I would recommend this to any coffee lover.

Bought this to blend in with the other Morphy Richards products we have in red and as I prefer filter coffee to instant. This was well made and makes a nice cup of coffee. As with most it takes some getting used to with amounts of coffee and strength rating, it has 3 intensity ratings and squirts water onto the coffee first to let the flavour develop which I think is a great touch as I like a strong cup. Makes up to 12 cups in coffee cup size or 6 mugs worth. My first one broke just outside of the warranty with it just dying one day, Amazon were great sending out a new one without question and let me do wherever with the old one so could have tried to get it fixed but it ended up in theelectronics box at the recycling centre as I didn't need it and the new one worked perfectly.

Excellent strength and a smooth brew.Really pleased with this easy to use and attractive coffee maker. Open the top lid, pour in water, add the desired amount of ground coffee, hit go and you soon have a very good cup of coffee in your hand.I was a little sceptical having purchased a budget filter coffee maker in the past as with the previous one I had to put the brewed coffee back through the machine to get a decent strength cup. This machine however is in a different league with a built in strength selector which on max produces a good dark and flavoursome cup of coffee.Very easy to clean, probably more so than a cafetière and with a programmable timer it is coffee efficiency and superb taste bundled together.Go for it,buy one!

Smart looking unit, makes a fantastic pot of coffee and keeps it nice and hot for 25 minutes. Easy to use, and the programmable timer for making your coffee for when you wake up is a lovely touch. I will note that I placed it pretty badly under a cupboard unit so I have to pull it out every time I want to fill it but that's not a fault of the machine itself just my lack of kitchen space - as a result it can be hard to work out how much water is inside as the 'ladder' measure isn't easily viewed but I just measure it out in a jug first. Overall an excellent purchase nonetheless!

This is by far my favourite Christmas present from Christmas 2016. It's been used literally everyday since I got it. My only gripe is the water is a bit awkward to fill.The best thing about this machine and the reason I got it is that it can be programmed to start at any time. Which is great for when you have to wake up at 4/5am like I do. I set the machine up to start brewing when my alarm goes off and by the time I've got up and into the kitchen it's done (takes about 5 minutes to brew on the strongest/slowest setting to do a large Starbucks style mug) highly recommend it.

Absolutely love it. I was a little bit worried that it would be a bit complicated to set up (I get lost easily in such things) but it's not. It's soooo easy! You really don't even need the manual, it's just self explanatory. The coffee comes out very nice, you just need to find your favorite brand to go with it. The timer works really well, and it's brill to wake up to a fresh, warm cup of coffee every morning. It's fantastic in smaller kitchens as it really doesn't take up much space on the counter. For me worth every penny. Very happy with this purchase.

I love this machine, the timer feature is just perfect! Being able to adjust the strength of your brew is a real plus...... It's easy to clean and being a little ocd about fingerprints on things is not a problem with this wonderful shiny surface. The brewing time I find really quick and a nice smooth coffee each time, the keep warm feature is excellent it tells you time since brewed and taste just as good as the first cup everytime. By far this is the best filter coffee machine I've ever used and would definitely recommend.

Simple and easy to use. Comes with a reusable 'plastic filter' (at least, the phrase I've been using for starbucks grinding :P) which is easy to wash. Set the coffee brewing whilst you sort out the rest of the breakfast, and come back to a fresh pot a couple of minutes later. The system has a hot plate to keep the coffee warm (you can configure how long the plate stays hot) and you can also customise how slowly you want the water to flow through the grounds (how strong you'd like the resulting coffee to be)

This coffee maker is stylish & sits neatly in the kitchen. I makes a smooth tasting coffee without the bitter after taste. It is easy to clean & I have put all removable parts in the dish washer without a problem. I love the timer feature that means I have coffee waiting for mr when I awake in the morning & the smell of coffee is great to wake up to. The 30 minute warmer plate is a great feature too, as well as safety it stops the coffee from becoming stewed. Overall an excellent coffee machine.

Fantastic, no sludge or grinds in coffee cup (unlike a well known brand) lovely hot coffee first thing in the morning, I use 2 spoons of ground coffee instead of the advised 1 spoon ( I like my coffee stand your spoon up in it strong) easy to clean the filter with a weak solution of Milton, easy to use instructions ( the first time only with water and a lot of steam comes out, but not when making coffee) easy to fill with water, does not take a lot of room on the work top, recommended best buy

Fantastic, the instructions are very clear making this product very easy to use for the first time.The machine has a feature which allows you to choose the strength of coffee you require. The 'cupcake' filter is easy to clean - even dishwasher safe. Once the coffee has been made the hot plate keeps the coffee warm for a further 25 minutes. It also has a useful feature that allows you to choose the number of cups you require rather than having to brew a full jug each time.

We've used this every day for about six months now and it's brilliant.We live in a hard water area so we have to descale it more often than is recommended in the booklet.One problem is that after a few months the timer for the heating pad under the jug went out of sync. It is supposed to stay heated for half an hour after the coffee has finished brewing, but now starts as soon as the coffee starts brewing, and we haven't been able to find a fix for that yet.

Neat coffee maker with simple instructions. Easy to fill with water and brews a good filter coffee.Downside, it doesn't retain the heat in standby without remembering to press the 'keep warm' button, which lasts 25 min.On the coffee maker, the lid has twisted slightly after only a few uses, this stops the lid from clipping 'shut' without an extra push. Without this being sealed, steam escapes.The colour is rich and the glass jug is easy to pour.
