It is tiny, it is super fast, it looks and smells like 1979 and it can easily fit on a desk, next to the monitor.Bought it for 5 reasons:I wanted to move away from supporting a company like Nestle. (Nespresso)I couldn't be bothered to invest in and maintain a proper espresso machine.I wanted to try the full range of available coffees instead of a selection of capsules.I like filter coffee.Nostalgia. (Obvioulsy you need to get the beige version)Now I'm 5star happy. It does everything you might expect it to do: Quickly makes two cups (not mugs!) of coffee, keeps it warm for 40min (unless extended) and does not have to be cleaned other than just removing the used filter.

A diminutive coffee machine. Largely plastic, hinge on lid looks a bit vulnerable. Makes one 300ml mug of black coffee when reservoir is filled to 'max' mark. This is said in the instructions to be two and a half cups. Unfortunately I bought six months supply of Melitta 1x2 filter papers before the 1x2 Melitta machine was delivered only to find that it actually takes smaller Melitta size 100 filter papers. Much cutting down! Would be a good idea for Amazon to mention this in the specification. A nice moulded German continental plug was fitted. The only option was to chop it off and fit a UK 13A plug. With respect, don't be tempted to use a razor adaptor.

This little coffee machine works with a smart plug.I looked for ages trying to find a small coffee maker, with a mechanical switch, that works with a smart plug. Set up my smart plug with Alexa (or google home), I have mine set in the routines so when I say “Alexa, make the coffee” it turns on the plug.As long as you have set the machine up (I do mine the night before), and you have switched on the mechanical switch on the coffee machine, the voice command turns on the plug and the coffee machine gets to work. It still switches itself off after 40 mins for safety.It makes one full mug of coffee which is exactly what I wanted.

It's maximum capacity makes one 300ml mug of very good coffee. You will need the size 1 (100) filter papers or cut down size twos. You don't get a "crema" froth, but I want good coffee, not bubbles. I fill it to capacity and use 15 grams of ground coffee. I put one shallow teaspoon of Coffee mate in. The plug has a decent looking black adaptor which makes it a bit bigger than our normal UK plugs. The cable is quite short.It' small, seventies chic (I got the beige and brown one), easy to clean, perfect for one person with a 300ml mug and really good. A bit expensive but I'm very happy with my purchase.

It's so cute! I fell in love with it as soon as I opened the box! It's perfect for 1 cup, which is what I wanted. No more big bulky coffee machines which give you 10 cups when all I want is one. The whole thing is beautifully made and easy to clean. I also bought the 2 cup filters which fit perfectly and make cleaning even easier.It has a hot plate too which keeps the coffee hot. Not sure how long it lasts as I always drink my coffee straight away.I would totally recommend it

First of all the machine is so cute, so tiny and robust. Even if you don't drink coffee, just buy and leave it there in the kitchen to look nice. Of course, our kitchen is too busy with various cooking elements! I am the only one drinks coffee in our family. So it is ideal for me to make one cup of coffee just for me. I add 200 ml water and @ one tablespoon of ground coffee powder. That's it. Highly recommended for single/couple.

Makes one big cup of coffee, which is ideal since my fiance left me. Comes in pre-nicotine stained beige which perfectly fits in with the decor of my London bedsit. Works like a charm and makes a flawless cup of coffee. If you are entertaining, it takes about two minutes to fill up a jar, so easy to make coffee for friends/lovers/dodgy tinder dates. Highly recommended for the single man about town.

I was looking for bean to coffe machines, but got lost in thoughts of how am i going to clean, how long a cup of coffee will take to be ready. Now i am using Aroma Boy , 4 times a day. It is the best for us because;1- we like fresh made cofee2- we don't feel like cleaning coffee machine all the time3- it is so quickLove Aroma boy, i am taking it to my holidays.

Tiny and beautifully formed. Just right for one person and looks very neat in my office. Not too noisy, either. We hardly notice it's on. The plug sticks out a bit, though although it doesn't matter in my set up but I still may cut off the plug and put on a UK one. The company does provide the adaptor with the machine so I can't complain. Very happy with it.

My mom had bought me the same machine as a present, when I lived in Germany. One day I thought about looking for it online for fun. I was thrilled to find it again! So happy with this buy! Ideal for a couple that wants to enjoy filter coffee in the morning or for filter coffee lovers. Ideal amount of coffee so you don't waste coffee.

Nice machine. Brews a single mug worth of coffee. Lovely style and simple to operate.Only gripe is that it was shipped completely unsealed in its box. Just the coffee machine box with a shipping sticker on it. The box wasn't even sealed closed. This was slightly concerning but the machine was fine inside.

Love this wee machine. Perfect for one person, I fill a regular size mug with this. I buy the filters directly from Melitta as they are much cheaper.Sometimes I plug it into a timer socket and place it on my Bedside table.... voila! Coffee ready when I wake up!My favourite kitchen appliance!

Simple little machine that makes one big mug of coffee. Love the retro feel as well. Just wish it had a UK plug (I was sure it said it did in the description), but I had an adaptor handy so it wasn't a problem for me.

Spot on for 2 cups of great coffee when filter is preferred to pod....mellow in the afternoon and even better, really quick when just out of bed and needing a kick start to the system !
