Mellow spices and a hint of vanilla....a subtly spiced dark sweet rum. Although I'm sipping it I think it'd be very nice in a tall glass with a mixer. It'd also be great as one of my favourite drinks...jager tea...a good couple of fingers of rum topped up with hot water and a teaspoon of brown sugar. A real winter warmer! Not a bad rum this, probably not drunk by many chairmen, more than likely drunk by scoundrels and scallywags. The spicing is very clever...the nose is wonderful, no notes stand obtrusively above the others....a nice rounded rum.

This was one of my first proper rums that you don't mix with coke. I never thought I liked rum but this one got me right into it.I hunted through all the supermarkets and couldn't find it but managed to find it on amazon. It was a lot cheaper than I had expected so ordered on straight away. It was just as good as I remembered and as I discovered with most rums it gets better after being opened.I would recommend this rum to anyone who who wants to start drinking rum straight. Great price point to start and easy to drink with great flavors

Arrived safe and sound, well packaged and two days ahead of schedule. A lovely rum. To my taste it wasn’t so rich when mixed with coke. Though an equal good measure with lime cordial finished with water was perfect. Obviously you will have to experiment if you don’t know your glass. I’m giving 4 stars. It’s not the best I’ve had but it is very good.

The liking of this depends on what you do with it.As a sipping rum, 1 out of 5 - it's very harsh on the throat, like swallowing razor blades.As a mixer, 4 to 5 out of 5 - it blends nicely with lime, ginger, lemon, soda, etc.... the harshness disappears and you get a nice rummy taste.But... I want a sipper, not a mixer.

I ordered some for the first when I was drunk on Kraken. It's so delicious - not something I would drink on it's own but is really good with diet coke. This is my preferred rum now. I meant to buy the spiced and didnt realise it wasn't until I came to review it - it's got a great flavour.

I've read a couple of reviews stating that as a sipping rum it can be a little rough, which is true if one drinks it immediately after pouring. But give it a few minutes in the glass and all those edges smooth right out. Do that and for the money it's a strong 4*

just received today, had a tipple and wow absolutely lovely. I am not a rum connoisseur but do like a nice quality rum and this did not disappoint will buy more when this has gone tonight, (only kidding i wont drink it all in one sitting)

i am from the beautiful exotic friendly island of st.ucia and can say this rum is smooth and great tasting. you will not be disappointed.every time my parents visit the have to bring me two bottles am so glad i found it here.

Have probably tried about 40 different rums over the last 4 or 5 years. It has an obvious taste but when drinking neat it was pretty smooth. For price and taste I would defiantly give this rum a thumbs up.

Got this as a Christmas present today - it was new to me and I have tried many different rums. I could not resist any longer and had a few samples.I loved it and happy to give 5 stars.

The rum that was purchased exceeded all expectations it was very smooth sweet and a lovely taste in the mouth after swallowing.After you had one you just needed another to verify.
