Works well and easily holds the Elro mini smoke alarm. However, I had to cut excess sticky tape from the section that attaches to the alarm mount. If you don't do this then it prevents you from twisting the alarm free from the mount to change the battery!

Had a lot of trouble keeping my smoke alarm fixed to the ceiling. This magnetic attachment works really well.
