A small item, that doesn't take up lots of space or look out of place in the house.........but gives a massive peace of mind. My last one had a 7 year life and lasted just that, so now trying the 10 year one, with sealed in battery life. In fact, just bought two...for different areas of the house. Not just peace of mind for ourselves, but for our children, pets, family and friends. I would advice anyone who has a home, caravan etc., and who uses any products that would require a carbon monoxide detector to purchase one of these. Honeywell have a fantastic reputation, and there's also a guarantee form you can send off and, if you tick the correct box, they will send you a reminder close to the run out date of your Honeywell detector.

First things First. No home should be without one, it will notify you with an ear shrilling alarm to wake you up if it detects carbon monoxide Fumes in the house, it’s best to purchase more than one for upstairs as well as the living room where we normally doze off with the gas fire on. Test every week. This model has a built in battery and has a life expectancy of 10yrs from new. I have used Honeywell for many years but it is your choice. This is an upgraded model from the last pair which needed replacing after 10yrs. For peace of mind don’t ignore these Carbon Monoxide warning devises, if you do not have any of these in your home and you have a leak of Carbon Monoxide you won’t be notified,

This was a replacement for an earlier Honeywell CO alarm which functioned satisfactorily for a full 7yrs. The replacement is rated for 10 years and I expect it to give good service as reported by Which as a Best Buy. I fixed the CO alarm on a under side of a high vaulted ceiling using a single screw fixing (as was the previous version) which was sufficient to provide a secure base. Set up is easy and involves sliding the unit base onto main unit to activate. Just remember to note the serial number before mounting the unit as you will need it for registration. Prices from this supplier are very competitive.

The honeywell carbon monoxide alarm is a very well made warning system, which I have been using in my house for a number of years now.My gas appliances are well looked after by my insurance with British Gas(maintenance of such appliances is vital) so to this date have never heard one alarm sound in anger. Purchased Honeywell based on previous experience of a Honeywell = British Gas alarm which did a trustworthy job for over ten years and for Honeywell's subsequent excellent after-sales service when the battery expired. In a desperate attempt to get the alarm to sniff out something, I have been initially testing this alarm on its low monitoring setting and, quite reassuringly, it hasn't given a single bleep of complaint, despite my wife's dense cooking smoke and fumes in the kitchen. Don't hesitate - just go for it!

The product appears well made, was sold at a competitive price and has a lengthy warranty. It was easy to set up and test. These are important devices to have in any household and this model compares well in quality with other brands I have seen - its presence gives an air of reassurance. I'm impressed and would recommend this model is considered by those looking to obtain a carbon monoxide alarm.

All my previous carbon monoxide alarms have needed replacement after five years. This will last ten - actually ten and a half, according to the date on the box. It's small, well made, took minutes to install and set up - really easy - and has lots of useful features. I hope never to hear it shriek in anger, but it seems first class. And for ten years of use, it's cheaper than its predecessors.

My previous CO alarm was a Honeywell one with 7-year life and this 10-year version (which passed all tests carried out by Which? and was rated a Best Buy, was to replace it. It was easy to install and I have to trust it will do its intended job if ever needed. Prices vary widely between suppliers (some more than twice as expensive as others!) and this was the cheapest I could find.

We have one in the kitchen and the other in the lounge for the Wood Stove. As long it is keeps flashing and we regularly test its alarm we have peace of mind. It was recommeded by our Chimney Sweep and Plumber from their various experiances plus Which Magazine some time ago. So far so good. Get one or two if you dont have one yet. It could save lives.

A very easy item to install. We previously had a Honeywell CO monitor so we were able to use the same fixing. This new item last for ten years so we are now feeling quite safe for the forseeable future. Would recommend this instrument to everyone who wants to feel safe. Also a very good price from Amazon with fast delivery

Keep this in the kitchen where I cook with gas, it just sits quietly on a shelf and doesn't complain, it's one of those things that doesn't do anything until it needs to then off goes the loud alarm (heard it on a test) seems pointless if it doesn't do anything until it does it's for protection not amusement.

A nice neat item that fitted ideally where our old monitor was removed and seems to do everything asked of it. Obviously there is no way of testing if it actually detects carbon monoxide, and you hope you never have to. but the reputation of the company suggests there should be no problems.

Bought as it is which recommended, a good brand and long battery life. Arrived on time. Easy to install. Instruction clear, mounting screw holes a bit small for old plaster. Would have been better a bit larger.Real test reliability and life time hence conservative 4 stars.

Had a couple of these alarms for many years and they have given excellent service - the most recently purchased unit replaced one that was 8 years old - still working but at end of expected life. These are excellent CO2 Alarm units, reliable and at a reasonable price.

I have purchased one of these years ago and it is totally reliable so I purchased another one again. Its very easy to install. The Alarm indicates when you need to replace it and it lasts for many, many years. I shall be buying another one for a friend.
