This is a fantastic little device which means I no longer have to depend on my husband for opening tight bottles. What I hadn't realised when I bought it, is that it also lifts most ring pulls (no more broken nails) although there are some cans where it doesn't work very well as you can't get the thick plastic 'hook' under the pull. However, it does make getting the top off a jam jar rather more safe than resorting to a knife to break the seal. It doesn't work on those bottles of bleach, etc that require you to push down and turn but otherwise works fine for me, giving just enough extra leverage to undo tight bottles.

This may seem like an odd birthday present for my mother-in-law but it was part of a collection of bits for the kitchen along with a really nice recipe book and a trip down memory lane! As she & my father-in-law are quite elderly I decided to give her something of practical value which would make their lives just a little easier and what do you know this is the first thing she commented on as 'it's fantastic and gets used every day!'

Excellent. Bought for my mother who is afflicted with arthritis and, though I was sceptical about its ability to open as many things as it claimed, I was wrong to be. It does just what it says and has certainly eased many of the problems my mother had with jars etc.

I have two and have just bought another one to give to my mum. I can't do without this gadget. It opens screw top bottles in a jiffy. I love the other function for opening jars. So simple to use with very little effort. Small enough to keep in your handbag.

My 87 year old Dad asked me to get him a bottle opener as he was struggling opening bottles of water. I bought a couple, and he couldn't use them. Then I found the Zyliss, and he finds it easy to use and is never without it.Highly recommended.

Was given one and bought another for a friend who has rheumatoid arthritis and has very very limited hand power. She has just about every gadget imaginable, but was thrilled with it. I find if extremely useful....

This is an amazing tool. Without this tool, opening ring-pull cans would be very difficult for me. Also, it breaks the vacuum on jam jars so that the lid can be opened by unscrewing the lid in the usual way.

Originally bought for my disabled husband who had difficult in opening stuff....not with this great gadget. I am a convert as it easily opens a variety of bottles, soft drinks and alcohol. Marvellous.

I bought this for my father who now has arthritis, and suffers with his hands, making it difficult to open jars and cans. This has made his life so easy, and gives him the independence he is used to.

handy to have all the different functions in one tool, so taking up less room in the odds and ends drawer - have used most of the functions with no problem, well pleased.

I use this mainly for opening ring pull cans. It’s brilliant, no more broken nails. I’ve also used it for opening screwtop bottles and it works really well on those too.
