Easiest and best can opener I've ever used. Plus, it opens plastic carbonated drinks bottles, breaks the seals on stubborn jars, opens ring pull cans easily and has a bottle opener as well!I've lost track of the number of cheap AND expensive can openers I've gone through over the years, so finding this amazing item is a dream come true.No sharp edges on the cans or the lids, and because it doesn't use a blade to slice the can open, nothing ever comes into contact with the contents of the tin, so hygiene wise, it's unbeatable. It's also the smoothest and easiest can opener I've come across and has passed the one test that separates the cheapo openers from the best...the metal pies in the tins from the brand that sounds like "Ray Mentos" - these things destroy most can openers, but are easily tamed by these fantastic Swiss creations!I can't say enough good things about this multi-opener from Kuhn Rikon. If you suffer from arthritis and struggle with bottles, jars and cans, this will help immensely. It's SO easy to use and is very well designed and thought out, from the extra leverage it gives when opening a really tight plastic bottle top, down to the little button-operated mini pliers that grip and lift the can lid away and lets you drop it straight in the bin with no mess.Would make a very welcome gift for anyone, I'm sure.

First time I tried to use this, I used the bottle top opener thing and realised my bottle had a slightly wider mouth than this was designed for. So that was a fail... That particular drink is the only bottle I regularly have in my house. Then I tried to use the jar opener to open a jar of mayonnaise and I didn't get it to budge. Then I finally used it for its main purpose and opened a can of tuna, a job I've never liked doing because of the tuna water getting everywhere making you smell like you are into eau de fish scents. It was easy to go round the can, I didn't use too much effort or feel like I'd just had a work out when I was done. None of the brine came out whilst I was opening it,the tool didn't have brine on it, my hands didn't have a fish smell and because of the way it opens it, (leaves it as a lid that you can plop back on ) I could carry out over to the sink without spilling it... I've decided my mother needs one as well even though she's never complained about hers, I just want to hear someone raving about how I've introduced them to magic. Will update if any issues occur.

If you're after a can opener, look no further! This thing is absolute genius, so easy to use, so effective. I don't really care about the other openers on it but I'm sure they're useful to someone.I was in the market for a new opener because the last one I owned was f****d, gears were all worn, teeth on the gripper bit were all worn, wouldn't turn, wouldn't cut. Searching for can openers with hardened components didn't get me very far! This thing cuts the bent over bit of the lid below the lip of the can that's underneath so doesn't leave sharp edges. Video shows what I mean even if it's a bit clumsy as I was watching the video not concentrating on opening the can.I'm not sure it will have the same failure modes as more traditional can openers,it won't get all gunked up that's for sure. I can't quite tell how the mechanism works but it feels less like hard mechanical work.Time will tell if it will last and I'll be sure to post an update if it kicks the bucket.

My mrs has a 49p Wilkinson tin opener which she rates so high I’d honestly think she was having an affair with. Personally I like it to dog excrement as I can not see any use for it in the human world. It made me purchase this beautiful gadget which I keep locked in the safe when I’m not using it (pure spite but it’s teaching her a lesson ?) nothing better then getting it out when she’s taken 2 minutes to open a tin of Tuna whilst gloating how good her willow piece of crap is. 10 seconds later I’ve opened it up and a silent moment passes between us where she knows I’m right. She doesn’t admit it out loud but I’m not bothered as during covid 19 any win is a win. This does a lot more then open tins and due to its weight it can possibly be used to disable a burglar (or wife) People will call you names for spending £8 on a can opener but that’s only because they don’t appreciate the finer things in life

Absolutely brilliant! This can opener has actually changed my life I know it sounds dramatic but it honestly has! My grandad saw it first on telly shopping and I got one I tried it out and I knew I had to get one. Because it uncrimps the can (there's no blade) you don't get metal shavings or packing paper in your food that means it stays very clean very limited chance for rusting like my other openers. Also it glides very smoothly around the can and the little grippy mouth on the sounds grabs every size of can lid ive come across. But it's not just can the other features work just as well the hook on the end for ring pull cab is just a must no more twanging a nail trying to get a grip on it.Also the jar un popper is so useful!Overall it's a fantastic product you will not regret having bought one and soon you'll be telling all your friends!!

This is the second one of these I have purchased. The first 5 years ago. Only reason I bought another now is as backup in case I cant get another one. First one still going strong. It does everything it says with ease. From opening tins, shocker! To ring pulls and ring pull tin lids. No mess neither, and I know about how easy that is.I am a lefty so find it a little awkward using gagets sometimes. In addition, Shhhh.., also I have older maturing hands that dont work as well as they use to. So this wonderful best friend saves a lot of shouting for help from the kitchen.IMO it really is worth the money. Happy wives/ mums make happy families!! For clumsey men too... wink wink!!

Good quality as usual from Kuhn Rikon. It opens cans so there are no sharp edges which is one of the main reasons I bought it. But in common with all the other variants of 'safe' can openers, you really have to go round the can twice to make sure the lid will come off cleanly. No big deal, the main handle is large and comfortable to use and the turning action is smooth and easy. The rest of the gadgets are a bit gimmicky but perhaps useful in an emergence. The only problem is, when a crisis hits, in my exasperation I keep forgetting all the usual little gadgets attached to various kitchen gizmo's, and resort to getting the hacksaw/pliers/hammer from the shed.

Wow! Everybody should have one of these! Once you get the hang of using it, I'm sure you'll love it!I know a lot of tins have the ring pull design nowadays but there are still quite a few that don't & for those, you need to be ready! This is the 3rd one I've bought as I have given them as gifts too. I gave one to my elderly parents & they love it too, my mum has bad arthritis in her hands & she can use it with ease. Plus I gave one to my friend, she also loves it!I'm a bit obsessed with finding the perfect can opener, a big claim to make but I think I've found it! The other tools on it are also very useful!

My second Kuhn Rikon can opener, the first lasting about 8 years. I had to buy another Kuhn Rikon as I was so impressed with first one I had. This removes the lid leaving no sharp edges and does it very hygienically, especially when compared to your standard type can openers.Real easy to use with very little effort required. The multi accessory on the bottom is new to me but I have already used it a couple of times and it works brilliantly. I highly recommend watching the video in the description, and I'm pleased to say it performs just like demonstrated. Here's to another 8 years or so!

This was bought for a neighbour who has difficulty with normal can openers, I have had mine for many years and it's still going strong and I have bought many for relatives who have used mine and are amazed how useful it is. Once you get to grips with how to attach it to the tin it opens cleanly, no gunk and with no sharp edges at all, all the other features work well especially the ring pull and jar lid loosener. Very easy to clean although it never seems to get dirty, just one thing don't drop it on a hard floor, parts are plastic and may break.

Of all the kitchen gadgets available today, I find that the can opener is the most useful. Other than a fully electric can opener, I have tried battery operated to the basic steel hand operated and I have found that the Kuhn Rikon Auto Safety Master Opener is the best one for me. It has a VERY smooth operating function, leaves NO sharp edges. With the addition of a bottle opener and soft drink tab puller AND opened lid remover makes this can opener the one for most families. Even with arthritis I find it exceptionally easy to operate.

Opening a can of tuna can still be very messy especially of you go around the can again. It is the ultimate test for any high ranking can opener and not even this one could pass the test. As soon as the can was cut the oil covered the cutting wheel, it opened the can but the can opener was left oily and smelling of fish. The can opener leaves the lid section smooth edged but found the main can still to be quite sharp around the top. Good concept but there are still some issues to iron out which leaves this item some what overpriced.

Very pleased. Can opening operation is low effort and very smooth. The cutting wheel approaches the can horizontally and cuts from the side under the top lip. After a full 360 degree cut, the lid seems to remain attached as it doesn’t pop up loose but that’s what the white push button is for on the side. It operates a small set of metal jaws that lift the lid clean off. No sharp edges are produced and no spills. Does beers too and the curved “beak” on the end is for getting under ring pulls if you covert your nails.

Simply the best can opener I've ever used. Effortless. In fact, it's so effortless, it can come as a surprise when you discover that you've actually opened the can - For the effort you're putting in, you'd be forgiven for thinking that it wasn't working. The actual method of opening in ingenious, and it works like no other can opener I've used - there are no sharp edges left, so it is extremely safe.If you can afford it, buy it. I doubt you'll ever find or need a better opener.

Have tried many can openers (tin openers) over the years but this one is the best that I've ever had. Just like the product description says, the lid comes away from the can, leaving no sharp edges behind. Everything else is as detailed in the product description. The best bit is not having to scrub the can opener to get rid of the dirt that always managed to accumulate around the cutting blade or the gear wheel. All in all, a good product & on sale on Amazon at a good price.
