The Zoom H4n duplicates the transport, level and arming controls of the recorder. Remote use may mean the recorder is too far away to monitor with headphones so pre-setting recording level would be the norm. Ideal for group rehearsals. The control does everything it is meant for and comes with an extension lead which might be used if the recorder were attached to a camera a distance away. In practice the control is only of use if you don't need to see the recorder's screen menu.

One of my friends had a earlier model of this recorder, and we felt that this model provided enhanced functions. We weren't disappointed, this is a great product, very easy to set up, use and transfer files from after recording. Highly recommended

A very useful accessory. Almost essential for most recording situations when using the built-in Microphones with the recorder on a stand. After setting up the recorder, this controls everything one needs.

As this was a present I cannot say very much but the person who received it was very pleased. The only down side is it is very expensive for a remote that only runs on cable.

Not a lot to say: works fine, eliminates fumbling sounds, extention cable was a bonus. Delivery was prompt & product was well packaged.

All as described, probably a necessity with the unit, as handling it creates excessive noise
