Similar to Kreg Jig. Sturdy plastic with metal insert where drill passes through. Use a clamp to hold it to the wood. Press the green button to lengthen and shorten the angle you drill into the wood for different length screws. As soon as I got this using three one point two metre lengths of timber from my timber merchants I made a great and very solid workshop stand very quickly and easily from a pocket hole jig "how to" on Youtube. The screws supplied won't last five minutes as you'll be building and fixing stuff all day with this great little tool. I just moved on to using decking screws when they ran out. As long as you are careful as the heads on none pocket hole screws are softer you should be ok if you don't want to buy the special ones.Make sure you tap out the saw dust from below the body every time you move this though or it will clog up and impede the drilling. Also tap or blow out the sawdust from the hole you have drilled. I'm really happy I got this and check the price next to a kreg.

Pretty good, easy to use. As others have said, comes with countersunk screws which are not suitable but proper screws are easily available. You can buy a Sikverline jig for about £5 elsewhere on Amazon, but that does not have the gauge to set the distance from the end of the board, or the special drill bit or long shaft driver bit. All in all not a bad package and it does the job well. I used it for about 50 holes and my only criticism is that the driver bit is showing wear. As you cannot see the screw you drive till it cams out, which wears the driver. Set the torque on your cordless driver to a low setting to minimise this.Would have been 5 stars with a harder driver bit.Note it can be used on any thickness of board but will only exit the centre of the board up to 37mm. I used it on 47mm with no problem and not exiting in the centre did not matter.

Having seen a video at a local Kreg stockist I was pleased to see the Wolfcraft pocket hole jig set on Amazon at a good saving over other brands. It was delivered swiftly last month and after viewing the "how to" video on YouTube I tried the jig out on some scrap and was thrilled with the quick result of a firm joint. I decided the enclosed pozidrive screws would be best replaced by Kreg screws made for the job and the driver to match. The screws are designed to stop it going further than one would like so causing an expletive or two! The instructions are fairly clear and are an aide memoir to the viewing of the YouTube videos great result- the German one is good and a command of the languageisn't necessary. My first project was a desk for a child and I am pleased with way the jig simplified the job and I would strongly recommend it.

As avid woodworkers, both my wife and I try to source quality products without breaking our budget to ensure that the pieces we make from wood are well made and will last for years. One of those quality products is the Wolfcraft Undercover jig-set, that makes joining 2 pieces of wood 'invisibly' very easy, providing a professional looking, tight, strong and easy to setup joint. Just setup the thickness of the wood, clamp if needed and start making pocket-holes.There are other popular pocket-hole jigs on the market today - all fine, good quality products, but they do have a slightly higher price tag. The Wolfcraft Undercover jig-set delivers excellent quality and above average value for money.A well documented, highly recommended Wolfcraft product.

This is a neat little kit, and much cheaper than the KREG. To be fair i haven't really used it for anything substantial, i joined some wood together to check it out and it performs very well. Just one thing to consider if you use this, the screws provided are not 'proper' pocket hole screws, they are just standard wood screws. Proper pocket hole screws are pan head screws that stop the screw going all the way through the wood. Using the screws provided is fine, as are any wood screws but bear in mind not to screw too fast or too far, if you have a torque setting set it low, and increase it gradually until you find just the right setting to get a good joint without going right through.

Bought this after viewing youtube woodworking techniques. There are more expensive and better designed jigs out there but what I need it for my my usage this is just the job. Easy to use and comes with a few screws and dowels to get you started. I built a desk for working at home and used this jig to do pocket holes which are way more better than just screwing one end to another and structurally better and more secure. I have chosen to buy screws that have either a T20 head or a square drive head, had to also buy a extra long driver head, but for small projects this is a great bit of kit and worth while having.

The edges of the pocket holes are sometimes very rough, with torn up straggly bits of wood. I haven't had a pocket hole kit before - perhaps they are all subject to this because of the low angle that the drill has to enter. One slightly annoying feature of the otherwise nice little case is that you have to take the depth gauge off the drill before you can store it (or attack the plastic liner with a knife as I did!).You can split the wood with 4mm screws, but 3.5mm seem fine.Notwithstanding these comments I have used the kit a lot in a current furniture project, and am very satisfied with the joints made.

Purchased this to aid the construction of cabinets in the lounge. I found this to be easily used and created excellent secure joints, better than the cam and dowel joints that I was thinking of using. I will be using this again for various other projects that I have in the pipeline around the house. One thing that I did change from the kit was the screws that they supplied, they are normal countersunk wood screws. I purchased some 'UJK' washer head screws, much better for the job, I has less chance of pulling the screw through the wood.

I found a dozen time saving uses for this on the first day I got it. Securing the sides of a rabbit hutch, putting wooden horse on to the rocking frame, assembling a couple of bird boxes and framing a garden swing and more. So glad I bought this, it's a great time saver. Having a fist full of screws to get started with, was a great idea, as it gives you time to have a good play while you wait for more scews, just using normal bright wood screws now. From table tops to floating shelves this is the real deal.

I've used this quite a bit for various projects since i bought it and It's still going strong. Not as expensive as others on the market but very well made of metal and heavy duty plastic. You need a good quality clamp to hold it in place and you'll be putting pocket holes in everything! One thing is the screws supplied aren't proper pocket hole screws and not to be used as such as they'd likely go straight through, so just make sure to get yourself some appropriate screws.

Love this piece of kit. This pocket hole maker is brilliant, especially for the price. A Kreg Jig will cost you near enough £100 and this does the same job. Pretty easy to use, although it is a little fiddly on your first couple of attempts, and is a well made piece of kit.It doesn't come with a clamp though, so you may need to buy one, I find it useful. It can also only do set wood thicknesses.Great piece of kit though, would highly recommend.

Great; works fine and used as a good solution for various scenarios. The only drawback is that ordinary screws may expand the wood due to their angled neck. Using Kreg screws requires buying Kreg's screwdriver separately. Conclusion: consider buying this kit with "Kreg 102275 Square Driver" and a set of Kreg screws for your uses (note the different types of screws for different thicknesses and hardness of the wood you use).

I'm a very novice DIY person. Purchased the pocket hole jig set to securely fix shelves in garage shelving unit I was building. The tool is extremely easy to use (after watching a couple of u-tube videos on how to use the jig). It made life simple for me.I recommend the pocket jig set. And most definitely suggest watching the u-tube video on how to use the jig properly!

I had never used one of these before, but after a couple of practice goes making joints became a breeze. Good value for money, doing away the need for jointing blocks, metal brackets etc. if you are no carpenter like me. I would suggest wherever possible clamp your wood together prior to using the screws. Also using wood glue will improve the sturdiness of your work.

Looks to solve a problem of how do you make a box quickly. I've used this a couple of times so far and it seems very good at joining two pieces of wood at 90 degrees, which is what is required most times on projects. An innovative solution. Viewing the You Tube video is very useful as it gives a good idea of what it can be used for.I can recommend this product
