Brilliant ceiling fan, as one might expect from Westinghouse.The designs and finishes of the Bendan are varied and beautiful. The longer 5-blade system adds effeciency without excess noise even on the highest setting.As with all ceiling fans it adds a balanced efficiency to the cooling and heating in the room. This sized unit is well capable of ventilating a 6x6m room with ease, but would have no issues upto 8x8m or larger. It's quietness through blade efficient blade design is excellent. On the lowest setting even the softest of sleepers can get good ventilated sleeping atmosphere.The infrared remote system is good, with the receiver system tidily built into the cover. As previous customers have stated this is a lovely well constructed fan. Not as easy to fit as some have stated, and I am a qualified electrician. The instructions are very clear and easily followed, but there isn't much room if your lighting is wired using the loop in method, whereby the feed in , feed out and switch wire flat twin and earth cables are installed. The biggest gripe I have is an annoying clicking noise when the fan is running. I know I have contacted Westinghouse about this, but when you have waited for the delivery and then spent a couple of hours installing the damn thing, I really don't want to send it back. This is probably a one off so don't be afraid to purchase what otherwise is a lovely bit of kit.

Great Service. Delivered within the time that was specified.This is a fantastic product.I can use it on full beam if i need to read, or do something that requires a lot of light.Or I can use the dim button on the remote control, if I want to watch a movie or tv etc.I don't even need a bed-side lamp anymore. I just leave the remote on my bed-side table and when i wake up.... hit the "ON" button and then dim as desired.The fan is great too.It cools the room down real quick. But also, if you reverse the rotation it circulates warm air great too.The diameter of the blades is quite large I would not reccomend for a small room.One thing I was'nt sure of when i read the description,

**UPDATE 24/02/2019**Found an LED bulb on eBay that comes from China that works perfectly, been through two since leaving this review. My only issue with this fan now is that the remote control is dying badly, new batteries don't fix it. It's £25 for a new remote from their website which is just absurd for a fan remote control. Airflow is still great, got it in constant summer mode as the heat in my small room gets unbearable. Fan is on most days and nights, great for the money. Wish the remote lasted longer.This is a good fan however it's not as quiet as I expected, the air coming off it is really good. However,

We've gone a bit ceiling fan mad in our house, such that we have one in nearly every room. The last one we had wasn't really big enough to have much of an impact in our living room. This one is fabulous and does the job nicely. It gives a nice breeze on the lowest setting and really cools you down on the highest. The light and the fan speed are both controlled by the remote. Don't expect too much from the light - it is bright enough, but I don't think I would want to sit in the room with the light on all night. Bear in mind that it is a heavy lump. I fitted it myself easily enough but you need to make sure you have some decent fixings to hold it once it is up.

Installed this fan yesterday in our bedroom and I have to say it's the best sleep we have had in sometime.This is a classy bit of kit , very well built and easy enough to assemble , although I recommend reading the instruction . On setting one it is almost silent and gives a lovely draft for sleeping . On setting two there is a little air noise but still quite quiet if watching the TV. Setting three i would never use , but we only have 8ft ceilings and this fan pushes a lot of air . Remote control is excellent . For electrical connections I used the switched live so in the winter months we can use the normal ight operation .

This is a brilliant fan , the ones I had when I lived in Spain were a bit noisy ,this one you can't even hear it , it's like mid day when you put the light on and being able to use remote control is brilliant . It is solid ,and very classy looking , I got the smaller one and glad I did ,if you want it for a larger living room get the bigger one . But all in all the smaller one would fit any room . The delivery was brilliant . I have marked up the fitting based invest my son inlaw said he is an electrician and made it look easy and took the makers name to buy some him self so that has to say it all

Great fan light. Got a fantastic deal on warehouse for this but was really disappointed to find that the glass shade was smashed. I was going to return this as I couldn’t find a replacement for the glass that was the correct size but eventually I did find one for £18 including p&p from mygreenlighting UK. So its up now and works great, I love it. There is some sight damage on the edge of two fan-blades but hardly noticeable and I wasn't expecting it to be perfect on a warehouse deal.Love the dimming feature, light can be very bright too, remote control works perfectly too. Very happy.

Great fan, great light.The fan has three speed settings which I really like.The lowest is perfect for overnight, especially if you're prone to going hot.It is very quiet on level 1 and 2, and a bit louder on 3. But certainly not enough to make you want to throw things at it!It's also not an annoying sound, just a low hum really.It was easy enough to set up too, actually. My father did it for me. You definitely need a bit of strength to do it alone, but it would be really easy with two people.I highly recommend this product.

It's easy to balance with a blade clip on weight. Mine wobbled on high speed ,took me about 20 mins clipping on plastic weight to each blade till I found best place to put it .Now on full speed no wobble or vibration.. My electrician did a good job of fitting it ,except he put the blades on first before offering it up to the ceiling to wire it up. Decided it would have been easier to put them on afterwards as the blades defo got in the way while he wired it LOL.

If you take your time, read the instructions before you start then you really should have no problem putting this together. The cabling is easy, however is you have more than the 3 cables coming through your ceiling then you are going to struggle. It is best the majority of the lighting circuit is in the ceiling as you will not be able to install this if you are dealing with more than 1 3core cable. Looks great, very quiet and the remote works really well.

Really cools us down especially with the recent bout of heat we had. I did find it easy to install but you can't take my word for it as I am a tradesman which means it could be a nightmare for someone who has little experience in installation. You can feel the breeze circulating around the room and on recent hot days everyone is in the front room chilling out. I have never experienced a ceiling fan better than this one. Glad I bought this.

Great fan and light - doesn't have a dimmable light which is a shame (I believe I could upgrade the remote module to have this). I fitted it easily on my own, the instructions are clear and easy to follow, with it being modular so you're not trying to lift a heavy weight to the ceiling while screwing. A great boon in summer, and even helps distribute heat evenly in winter too.

Very good quality of construction. Smooth operation with very low noise level (almost no noise at all). Remote operation is a plus. Installation instructions very easy to follow. A minor probelm with the packaging that was handled excellent by Amazon Service Center. Haven't used it yet to really hot days in order to tell you the results. All in all a satisfactory purchace.

Having done a fair amount of research on ceiling fans I decided on this German made product. Very pleased with this fan which I specifically wanted the remote function as my previous fan had broke from pulling the cord too much!!Very quiet even on the highest speed setting - looks amazing in my conservatory. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT WHICH IS WELL PRICED.
