This peeler is very sharp, light weight and easy to use-as long as you are left handed. It is possible to use it with your right hand but it will take a bit time to get used to it. We have it now for seven months at it still works as new. However it still can not beat this peeler http://www.amazon.de/Spargelsch%C3%A4ler-Solingen-schwarz-Gem%C3%BCse--Sch%C3%A4ler/dp/B0058YGWEG/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1391822980&sr=8-15&keywords=solingen+sch%C3%A4ler, which I used for more than 16 years having bought it in a German pound type shop for 1 Deutsch-mark (approx 30 p.). Eventually it fall apart. The major difference is that the knife is suspended to flexible plastic and one can easily change thethickness of the peel by pressure.

Why did i ever bother with those cheap peelers from a supermarket.Very sharp, the peels won't get stuck in the blade like by the cheap peelers, easy to maintain and sits very good in hand.Great for right handed users, not so good for lefties, my girlfriend is lefthanded and she doesn't like it that much, she said its not very comfortable due to the curvature of the top.amazing price with the quality of a swiss army knife from victorinox.Tried to peel potatoes, apples and carrots, it works amazing, finally the most annoying job in the kitchen can be more enjoyable.

Bought this to replace one that was at least 15 years old and had finally lost its edge, though still worked better than most peelers. This one arrived promptly and was well packed. The only minor irritation was that the blade had been put in the wrong way round. However, it was child's play to remove, reverse and refit it. The peeler is beautifully sharp, easy to hold , small and easy to store, and dishwasher safe. It's still the best on the market.

I have had one of these for 6 years and for 3 of those it was being used daily in a commercial kitchen environment...and only now do I feel it has got blunt enough to replace it. I am not left handed so I unlatch the blade and switch it round then use the peeler 'upside down' and it works great, a small price to pay for the best peeler I have ever owned. It will save you so much time in the kitchen it will pay for itself in a week.

I wanted to replace an old peeler of that same kind, which I had since year 2006. It was tired and bit dull but for all those 15 years I’ve hardly used any other. The new peeler is glossier and much sharper to touch. I’m happy those are still produced up to previous design as I had santimental attachment to the older one. Convenient to hold, to store, to wash, not a speck of rust and might probably survive centuries in use. :))

I'm probably a little ham fisted but found this peeler awkward to use initially. Like another reviewer, I thought it worked best in the left hand, but if you reverse the blade it works really well. It sits in the palm of the hand correctly allowing easy peeling of most vegetables and much fruit. My only criticism would be the blade is a little narrow making the peeling of large flatish potatoes difficult. Best peelr I've used!

I was disappointed when I received this product as I had also ordered two white ones, they arrived in same parcel but I was charged two lots of postage as the white ones were on a separate page. I felt the double charges were totally unessessary and made the peelers more expensive than need be. The peelers are the best peelers I have ever used. I purchased my one when in Switzerland, hence buying these ones for gifts.

I was searching for scissors when I came across these peelers.....my wife likes the old conventional one and I like the one like a knife. Anyway I could not have bought her a better item...best think since sliced bread she tells me...old one now in recycle bin. Tried it this afternoon showed me how easy it peels carrots and parsnips...so we had a very nice supper.Excellent products highly recommended by Mrs H

I bought my first one of these about 15 years ago. I have a big family and I cook a lot, so it's been used and used and I've been dreading what would happen if I lost it - it doesn't seem to have gone blunt at all and always peels super-fast and very easily. The label had worn off and I never saw another one til I came upon one in a youth hostel this week. I am tragically excited to have found them again!

Excellent sharp little tool for all your peeling needs. We have had one of these for years (still going strong and makes carrot, potato etc peeling easy) and wanted a second one as we like it so much. Maybe a bit too sharp when new (took off a tiny bit if my finger tip when not paying attention) but that settles down through use and sticking it into the dishwasher.

It is a good peeler. I am left handed and it is comfortable to use. My only gripe is it feels kinda light, which I suppose is a good thing (so did not mark it down a star as just personal preference to have a heavier feel). Don't get me wrong although very light it seems well constructed and is not flimsy.Having given it a quick test, it peels extremely well.

This is the best ever peeler that I have found for peeling all vegetables. Also as I left handed person I don't seem to find conventional peelers simple to use. I bought my first swivel peeler about 5 years ago and have never looked back since. Wouldn't by any other make now. It peels effortlessly and keeps sharp.

Having used one of the Victorinox potato peelers for several years, then finding out that they were not readily available caused a panic in the house as everyone was so used to it. The angled head is really useful and I have found that I cannot get used to a straight head. Excellent potato peeler.

The blade is as sharp as you'd expect with the Swiss Army name (indeed, beware leaving it in a dark drawer where you may happen upon it by accident), but the body of the peeler feels a tad flimsy. It's not as ergonomic as you'd hope but it's far better than many peelers if you have dodgy hands.

Victorinox make excellent quality products. Years ago I bought a black Victorinox peeler and it’s still working great. I didn’t need to replace it, but this red handled peeler is easy to find amongst the other utensils in the drawer. Easy to use, and comfortable to hold .
