I'm not one for reviews, but I have seen some negatives for this type of product (Rex or Swiss peelers), based on usage.The thing with these, is that you let the peeler do the work. If peeling a carrot start from the thick end and just rest the blade on the carrot, pull quickly and gently downwards - no need to apply pressure ! Rotate the carrot and repeat, job done in a few seconds.Using a julienne version is exactly the same, but it isn't going to julienne the whole vegetable - you need something to hold after all. I would expect to be left with a quarter to a third, but with my hand intact. It isn't going to cut strips with a perfectly square cross section that you get from a mandolin,

I have been wanting to buy a mandoline for ages but always too expensive. I bought this little peeler for a few pounds and am absolutely delighted. Very easy to peel potatoes for matchsticks, and carrots for coleslaw. A really excellent product well worth the money. So delighted that I have since bought another one for a friend.

The first peeler I received did not cut the strips all the way though so Amazon sent me another one. This replacement works as described, I mainly use it for carrots and it cuts the perfect julienne strips for sales etc. No issues and much cheaper than a spiralizer.

Julienne everything, from sweet potato to carrots to Green Papaya!Eating healthy is a breeze and fun now. the best is carrots and courgettes, peel away and you will never want to use a knife again (well dont use it on a tomato...)Great product

The juliene's produced a bit thicker than I would have liked but not by much.Carrot and green mango now form the heart of my Thai style salads and it's easy to get consistent results.

Lovely product for making vegetable spaghetti and a lot cheaper than a spiraliser. A little awkward at first but once you get used to it, its great.

Ace. Cheap and cheerful. Works a treat.Handle not the comfiest but don't use it for a long time is it's fine. Would recommend.

These potato peelers have been around s long time the design has never changed that says s lot about them.

Super sharp and surprisingly much better than I thought it would be as a compliment to the speed peeler.

Great little gadget for julienne of vegetables, does carrots and courgettes just great.
