I received my Karoto and had to try it straight away.Though the peeler at the bottom is not the best, it does the job (half a star lost here).The "shapenner" is great, it gives a beautiful and out of the ordinary effect, plus, if you plan on boiling or glazing carrots, they cook in few minutes.The problem with the curler is the blade, it's not as sharp as would be desirable, which means you'll need a lot of strength to do anything.I found that a very useful trick is usung a small knife to help twist the carrot.It works like a charm, and would have given the missing star if the curler had such an accessory or mention in the instructions.All in all, I really like it,

Ok yes it is a gimmick, you can get a basic peeler a lot cheaper but .... This is fun! I do have a lot of colour pencils so this gadget was very appropriate for me, it has a normal peeler on the bottom and then you have the fun sharpener bit, sharpen carrots (and skinny parsnips) and then you have lots of vege shavings which you can put in salads or (as we did) spread out on a baking tray, sprinkle with a little bit of olive oil and salt and bake to make vege crisps! Great fun and my nephew loves it, excellent way to sneak in a bit of goodness and great fun to make!

I got given this for Christmas and thought it would be a gimmick we end up throwing away but it's actually fantastic. The "sharpener" peeler bit is a bit of a joke and will probably never be used but the peeler at the bottom is sharper than any I've had before and the grips on the side are perfect. I have small hands and it's an absolutely great fit in my hand, much better than any peeler I've ever had before. Look beyond the gimmick to the actual quality of this product.

I got this as a gift for my nana as she has tons of different kitchen gadgets, I'm allways looking for ones she hasn't got . I came across this and it was perfect . It's a great idea very funky and somthing I haven't seen in shops. The shipping was a lot quicker than expected witch was a bouns. My nana loves it and says it works really well I think this makes a great little gift for someone and well worth the money.

I saw this at a much higher price in the high street, liked it but did not want to spend as much. How do you rate a carrot peeler? it does what it says, just make sure the carrot is not too big or too small but what really counts is that it makes carrots look more fun and appetible to my kids so big thumbs up.

It works really well leaving behind perfect pencil sharpening shapes of carrot! Looks good to, makes things fun to eat and has a normal peeler at the end which is perfectly sharp! After you've peeled your carrot with it it will leave behind a carrot that does literally look like a well sharpened pencil!

All the other brands break after very little time. This one I have had for years whilst I have watched other people go through many of them. That's why I bought one the same brand as an Xmas present for my friend. I use mine every day when I juice my carrots and bake my sweet potatoes and such

Having seen mixed reviews, I don't care. Went ahead and ordered this little gadget and am glad I did. The best peeler I've used for peeling carrots. Must admit not had a go at doing fancy carrots yet but it wasn't what I wanted this item for; an added bonus I think. Would recommend.

Got this as a Christmas stocking filler joke for my Dad, but it actually works!! It makes amazing carrot 'pencil' shavings & also peels veg!! Made the Grandchildren want to eat carrots too cus they helped sharpen the carrots with Grandad to make the shavings!!

I bought this as a present for my novelty gadget mad daughter, it was worth every penny just seeing her open it, she was beside herself! I understand she has used it since and loves it, actually rather hoping she gets me one for Christmas!

This little gadget works way better than I thought it would, really sturdy, works on big carrots and has a great peeler attached too. Yes, it's a bit gimmicky but would make a great little gift for a foodie!

love the peeler and the quick and easy way you can make slithers of carrot to make your salad a bit special ..you can twirl the carrot and stuff them with cream cheese or olives make a nice starter

After having awful cut fingers using carrot peeling and shredding devices we bought one of these. It's safe and is quick and easy to use. A winner every time. Will wash in the dishwasher too!

What's great about this is you can turn all your carrots into ribbons, sling them in a bag and freeze them- they are so easy to use this way, in stews, salads, anything. Love this tool.
