From reading the mixed reviews, I was hesitant to buy this but went ahead anyway as I thought it was a good idea, hopefully the following advantages and disadvantages will help you to make the right decision:+ Good price+ Well thought out little gadget - super easy to wash+ Great for peeling vegetable (carrots especially) - tip: with the peeler in your hand, imagine the carrot is a cat / dog and perform the stroking motion- The size of the hole doesn't stretch that much - I have quite thin fingers for a guy and find it a bit of a squeeze so not sure it would fit the average guy's finger size (this is its major flaw)Overall, I would recommend this item, but only if your middle (or whichever finger you;ll use)is quite thin, because it's a neat design and, in a weird way, it does make peeling more enjoyable.

I have already reviewed the palm held serrated peeler and the brush and this straight edge peeler is just as good as those. The serrated blades are great for peeling soft veg and fruit. I use it for cucumber, apples and tomatoes sometimes. The straight edge blade on this peeler is great for carrots, potatoes, swede and other harder veg. Again, it is very sharp and works very well once you have got used to the different technique. As with the other peeler it comes with a blade protector. They look really smart too. I leave mine out on the shelf over the kitchen sink rather than chuck them in the kitchen drawer. The two peelers also have a little bit sticking out that removes potato eyes and blemishes. They have thought of everything.

The folks that invented this should be millionaires on Dragons Den. So impressed I bought ones for my daughters and mother. Quicker, cleaner and safer than conventional peelers. Both left and right hand compatible - genius. Peeling carrots or tatties is just like stroking a cat and the veggie comes out very smooth and round with less waste than standard peelers. Goodness me, for less than a fiver it's a great wee gadget. I'd imagine if you had mobility issues then this is ideal - needs no wrist strength to peel veggies.

I bought this from a shop, not Amazon so I can't say anything about the postage or colour of this particular product. But this has made peeling so much easier. I have repetitive strain injury in my hand and regular peelers can hurt. But this doesn't put as much strain on my hands and also I can use it with my non-dominant hand very easily as well. It's not the sharpest peeler so I expect it would have some trouble peeling thicker veg, like butternut squash, but for carrots, potatoes, parsnips etc it does the job.

The best peeler ever! I bought the first one almost 8 yeas ago in Sweden but one day it went into the bin with the potato peels by mistake. I tried different ones but it wasn't the same. I found the same brand on Amazon and I was very happy. The blades are amazing and the grip is so perfect. To me it's the best one in the market. I use it not just for peeling but for slicing carrots and red cabbage for salads. Don't accept cheaper imitations even if you see the same shape. Look for the brand!

I am really pleased that I found this peeler, I am suffering from tennis elbow, the holding twisting and pulling needed to use a normal peeler really hurts, my family was fed up with pasta!!, now using this I can peel potatoes again!!! Great product. I did read that the finger hole was too small but as it is split, I don't understand that criticism. If you have sore fingers trouble holding things then give it a try.

Great week peeler. Fits onto finger brilliantly with its adjustable finger hole. Was told by an occupational therapist that you stroke the vegetables as if it were a cat or dog and the skin just falls off the veg. Great for all potatoes parsnip sweet potato carrots.... Also brilliant for cucumber slivers.... Fab.

Yes I know it's only a peeler but a good one can make peeling easy & quick rather than a tedious chore. The blade is sharp and cuts clean on every stroke, it's simple to use and comfortable in the hand. The only thing is, when this peeler arrived it was a cherry colour not the green one I was expecting.

I've bought two of these over the years and I recently lost the newest one and bought an ordinary one. I miss this product in my kitchen. Probably going to buy another one. It's so much easier to peel with and doesn't take off more than an ordinary peeler does. This product also seems safer to use.

I bought several of these, because two of my children have difficulty with regular peelers. I am still getting used to mine,so I cannot review it properly for myself just yet, but I know the rest of the family are very pleased with theirs, so I am pleased with my purchases, thankyou!

I bought one of these in Montreal when on holiday recently, having never seen them before. It's been invaluable as I have arthritis in my hands and peeling is usually painful. I'm so impressed that I am about to buy one for each of my daughters!

I brought this as i had already brought the palm brush, both i have found indispensible while my arm has been in a cast.I would say anybody with limited wrist function should give these ago.Excellent product and good quality.

The product was as we required , we had one before. However the colour was not as ordered, an enclosed note explaned that green was out of stock.A pity as out kitchen sink units are green and white. The peeler is magic.

Got this as I have arthritis in fingers. I am mainly using it for carrots ? and it works well.It does peel quite thinly so it could possibly be used if u need to make thin slices of vegetables.
